Chapter 13 The Gu Family's Old House

Aunt Six prepared two cars in total.

Yan Qi followed Gu Qinghan to the door. When he saw the two cars in front of him, he immediately understood and walked directly to the latter one.

Seeing this, Gu Qinghan nodded, very satisfied with Yan Qi's knowledge.

Finally, I didn't get close to him.

If she could always be so knowledgeable, he wouldn't mind keeping her for a while longer.

The Gu family's old house is located relatively far away, almost reaching the suburbs. It is a tourist resort with beautiful scenery, covering a very large area and surrounded by a lake.

It's a pity that such a beautiful place looks eerie because of the sparse population.

Even the temperature is several degrees lower than in the city.

Yan Qi had never been to the Gu family's old house and didn't know much about the old house, so it would have been a secret. She lowered her head, closed her mouth, and followed Gu Qinghan step by step.

It was dark and gloomy inside the old house. It was obviously still morning and the sky was bright outside, but the curtains were drawn inside to block the light.

Only a few rays of light could be seen faintly.

Forget about closing the curtains, but not turning on the lights.

It was so dark that Yan Qi almost stepped on Gu Qinghan's heel.

Afraid that Gu Qinghan would misunderstand her again and rush to stick to him, Yan Qi could only stop.

As soon as she stopped here, she heard a gloomy and hoarse voice: "Gu Qinghan, is this your filial piety? You don't even say hello to your mother when you see her!"

Yan Qixun looked over and realized that there was a person sitting in the dark corner.

The light was too dark and she couldn't see clearly at all. She could only make out that she was a middle-aged woman, but she couldn't clearly see her appearance.

Gu Qinghan paused, a thick black mist forming in his eyes. The black mist was filled with endless rage and hostility, as if a demon was about to emerge from its cage.

But soon, he suppressed this violent emotion, turned to look at the middle-aged woman calmly, and said in a calm tone: "Mother."

"Mother?" The woman laughed, and then the laughter gradually became sharper: "Gu Qinghan, you still know that I am a mother. I thought you wanted to kill me too?"

Even she was killed? What happened?

What a big gossip!

Yan Qi raised his ears and was listening intently, when suddenly an old voice interrupted everything.

"Lin Yi!" An old woman appeared in a wheelchair and scolded the middle-aged woman: "What are you talking about? Are you sick again? If you are sick, take medicine and don't talk nonsense!"

Seeing the old woman, the middle-aged woman Lin Yi fell silent, and her face became dull. She was helped by the servant back to her room to rest.

The old woman looked at Lin Yi's back and sighed, comforting Gu Qinghan: "Qinghan, your mother's mental state is not good, please ignore her and don't take her words to heart."

"I know, grandma." Gu Qinghan still looked indifferent.

Mrs. Gu knew that Gu Qinghan was upset, so she didn't try to persuade her. Instead, she turned her gaze to Yan Qi and waved to her: "Yan Qi is here, come to grandma."

Yan Qi stepped forward immediately.

She had seen in the diary of the original owner that Mrs. Gu quite loved her, her granddaughter-in-law.

"Have you had breakfast?" Madam Gu held Yan Qi's hand and asked gently.

Yan Qi nodded: "Have you eaten? Has grandma eaten?"

Mrs. Gu shook her head: "No, you can eat some more with grandma, okay?"

"Okay." Yan Qi became happy. She liked eating the most.

After finishing the meal with Mrs. Gu, Yan Qi had nothing to do.

She had no idea where her room was, and the servants in the old house were like ghosts, with no trace of them at all.

Yan Qi simply walked around, searching and visiting the old house.

I heard that the Gu family's old house is hundreds of years old and can be considered an antique. The decoration style inside is very ancient.

Unknowingly, I entered a room, which was spacious and bright, completely different from the darkness and silence in other places.

It is filled with toys, various remote control cars, Lego, Ultraman, Transformers, and several oversized children's cars.

Yan Qi's eyes lit up, these should be Gu Qinghan's toy rooms.

It is bright and warm inside, and there are not only toys that boys like, but also dolls and paper cranes.

Unexpectedly, Uncle Gu, who has changed his attitude, could be so warm and innocent when he was a child.

Time is indeed a butcher's knife.

What kind of butcher's knife turned him into his current abnormal state?

A pile of photo albums in the corner caught Yan Qi's attention, and she was suddenly curious about what Uncle Gu looked like when he was a child.

Taking a photo album, Yan Qi sat on a chair and flipped through it slowly.

The first picture shows a young woman holding a naked little boy. Yan Qi covers her mouth and smiles. This should be Uncle Gu when he was a child, and the young woman should be Gu's mother.

At this time, Mother Gu's eyebrows were crooked, and her face was full of smiles. She was not at all like a zombie now.

As the little boy in the photo grew older, Yan Qi's frown deepened.

It's strange why Uncle Gu is so different from when he was a child. He looks nothing like him.

Although the little boy in the photo is very cute, with regular eyebrows and a good appearance, he is still far from the unique and beautiful person that Uncle Gu is now.

Yan Qi continued to scroll down, and when he saw when he was ten years old, two little boys suddenly appeared in the photo album.

The new little boy who appeared was thin and small, half a head shorter than the previous one, but his eyes were bright and his appearance was exquisite. He was completely a miniature version of Uncle Gu.

Yan Qi was confused. Does Uncle Gu have an older brother?

The sound of the door opening and closing disrupted Yan Qi's thoughts. Aunt Six walked in and was slightly startled when she saw the photo album in Yan Qi's hand.

Then he said: "Madam, are you looking for a photo of Master Gu when he was young? There is only one photo in these albums. Don't look for it. You won't find it."

Yan Qi was surprised: "Just one?"

Aunt Six nodded and explained in a low voice: "When Mr. Gu was young, he and Mr. Xuwei hugged each other by mistake. He only found her when he was ten years old, which caused Mr. Gu to suffer a lot when he was young."

Shocking melon!

Yan Qi was simply unbelievable that Gu Qinghan was actually the real young master among the real and fake young masters.

"So, this room?" Yan Qi was curious.

"Is this Master Xuwei's toy room?"

"Where's Gu Qinghan? Doesn't he have a toy room?"

Aunt Six was silent for a moment: "Master Gu was already 10 years old when he came back, and his ups and downs made him very precocious and didn't like toys."

"These are two different things." Yan Qi shook his head, "He doesn't want to ask for it, but his parents and relatives can give it to him."

Yan Qi didn't like toys when she was little, but she had three rooms of dolls, all given by others.

Aunt Six raised her eyes at Yan Qi and led her to a room in the corner.

This room was obviously a warehouse, which was in sharp contrast to the previous toy room. It didn't even have windows. It was empty and full of dust. There were only a few obviously broken toys lying on the floor.

Aunt Six looked at the broken toys in front of her with an expressionless expression: "This is Mr. Gu's childhood toy room. The toys in it were given to Mr. Xu Wei after he broke them. His parents and relatives never gave Mr. Gu toys."

Hearing this, Yan Qi was startled.
