Chapter 63 Orthodoxy

Hua Jiunan has been practicing ancient martial arts since he was a child. Recently, he has also practiced the Taoist breathing method and dragon skin for body protection. Naturally, he is not afraid of the cold;

Hui Laoliu is a top-level being among animal cultivators. Low temperature and severe cold are simply not worth mentioning to him.

So despite the wind and snow, the two of them just sat on the ground, enjoying each other's drinks.

After getting tipsy, Hua Jiu Nan and Hui Lao Liu completely opened their hearts and talked a lot to each other.

Gray Old Liu sighed softly:

"Little sir, there are some things you may not know."

"Among all the Chuma Immortals, our Hui family is not only the most difficult to practice because of our background, but we are also the most looked down upon by others."

"It's even difficult to find a willing disciple!"

"It creates a vicious cycle."

"Without disciples asking us to take action, we would not be able to accumulate virtue and do good deeds and accumulate negative virtue, and the path of cultivation would be even more difficult!"

Hua Jiu was very sympathetic when he heard this. He suddenly thought that he might be able to help:

"Brother Huiliu, I practiced the breathing and breathing techniques in the "Baopuzi Nei Chapter" and the Three-Yuan Dunjia technique, are they useful to you?"

"If it's useful, I'll tell you now."

After hearing this, Hui Laoliu jumped up in surprise:

“Little sir, what did you just say?!”

""The Inner Chapter of Baopuzi"?! Are you a disciple of Ge Hongge Tianshi?!!"

No wonder Hui Lao Liu was so excited.

Hua Jiunan didn't know Ge Hong's status, but Hui Laoliu knew:

Ge Hong, whose courtesy name was Zhichuan and whose nickname was Baopuzi, was from Jurong, Danyang County, Eastern Jin Dynasty (now Jurong County, Jiangsu Province).

Not only is he the great-grandson of Ge Xuan, one of the four Taoist Celestial Masters, he is also a powerful Celestial Master himself.

It's just that he is different from other heavenly masters in that he has no Taoist tradition.

He just recorded what he had learned throughout his life in the strange book "Baopuzi".

After listening to Hui Laoliu's introduction, Hua Jiunan realized that his teacher was so powerful.

As a result, I have more confidence in the Taoism I have learned.

"Brother Huiliu, according to you, what I learned will be helpful to you?"

Gray Old Liu nodded repeatedly, his excitement was palpable.

"It's more than helpful! If the young gentleman is willing to teach me, it will be a heaven-defying opportunity for my Hui family!"

Hua Jiu is very happy to be able to help Hui Laoliu:

"In that case, I will tell Brother Hui Liu now!"

Seeing that Hua Jiunan was really willing to teach him, Hui Laoliu calmed down.

He said to Hua Jiunan with a serious face:

"Little sir, do you know that your human race has a saying: 'The Tao should not be preached lightly, and it is not the Tao to be preached lightly'?"

Hua Jiu found this sentence in a book:

"Doctors don't knock on the door, and Tao doesn't spread lightly."

This is the experience summed up by the great sages of the past generations, and it is also the ancestral rules of many sects.

The preaching within the human race is so strict, let alone spreading it to alien practitioners.

Throughout official history (excluding various novels), there are very few instances of human practitioners preaching to animal practitioners.

In fact, in the eyes of orthodox Taoists, animal practitioners are looked down upon.

Even if animal practitioners are successful in their cultivation, it is difficult for them to be ranked among the immortals.

The best way out is to be a mount for a powerful person.

The same is true for human practitioners regarding Chumaxian:

It's like a civilized society looking at uncivilized savages.

After Hua Jiunan understood Hui Laoliu's concerns, he smiled instead:

"Brother Huiliu, don't worry about studying. I believe in your character."

"No matter how powerful you are, you will never do evil or harm anyone."

Hui Laoliu stared at Hua Jiunan with a solemn expression for a long time, then suddenly knelt on the ground and kowtowed to him three times.

Hua Jiunan wanted to escape, but was restrained in place by an invisible force.

Hui Laoliu didn't get up even after he paid his respects. He pointed his finger at the sky and swore a poisonous oath:

"From today on, I, Gray Lao Liu, will treat this young gentleman as a teacher."

"Young Master, I have an order, and I, the Sixth-Gray Old Man, must complete it even if I am shattered to pieces!"

"If you violate today's oath, heaven will abandon you and earth will hate you! You will not be able to live in peace for a moment, and you will not be buried in the ground even if you die!"

After Hui Lao Liu finished speaking, he kowtowed three times and nine times to the heaven and earth.

Note: The four great Taoist heavenly masters are: Zhang Daoling, Ge Xuan, Xu Jingyang, and Sa Shoujian.

In order for readers to better understand the strength of Taoism, the author here focuses on the least famous Master Sa.

Sa Shoujian is also known as Sa Zhenren and his nickname is Quanyangzi.

According to legend, Sa Shoujian used the magic formation "Yushu Fire Mansion" to descend from heaven to Wang Lingguan, accepted him as a general, and passed on the secret of his talismans.

This Wang Lingguan is the one in "Journey to the West" who single-handedly blocked Monkey King from outside the Lingxiao Palace!

These are not made up by the author. In the original text of Journey to the West, the monkey failed to break into the Lingxiao Palace at all.

Not to mention the Jade Emperor hiding under the table and shouting "hurry up to the Tathagata Buddha".

Even in "Journey to the West", a work that worships Buddhism and downgrades Taoism, Wang Lingguan is so powerful. The strength of the four heavenly masters above him is evident!
