Chapter 37 Margaery: Rolf, Ill help you check up tonight

When Horst returned to his office, he found that the door was surrounded by Aurors, all looking into the room.

He couldn't help but frown and said, "What happened?"

"Director, the fat man named Flint suddenly attacked Rom." A dark-skinned wizard explained:

"This... young gentleman, he subdued Flint and saved Rom."

Horst looked up and saw that Rolf was treating the wounds of the bitten Roma, and Margaery was standing next to him, helping him carry the black suitcase.

Not far away, Flint was tied up by vines. His mouth was full of blood, his face was twisted, and his whole body was twitching violently.

The symptoms are the same as those of the man with maroon hair, he has been infected with what Muggles call zombie poison.

"Uncle, Flint was bitten and there is poison in the blood." Rolf raised his head and warned: "You should control him."

"Nonsense, poison is not transmitted through bites." A pale and thin young wizard said, his voice somewhere between a sneer and a grunt.

"Children don't talk nonsense if they don't understand."

Luofu raised his eyebrows, and out of the corner of his eye he saw his sister Margaery trying to fight back. The young man patted her arm, then he stood up, keeping a calm and polite tone, and asked:

"May I ask you are?"

"Alliser Thorne!"

"Very good, Mr. Thorne, so you understand it well?" Rolf said with a smile on his face: "Then can you please tell me... what kind of poison is this?"

The young wizard was speechless for a moment. He paused and snorted: "I don't know...but I know you are talking nonsense!"

"How can we see it?"

"We have rescued many bitten wizards. They are all normal and show no signs of being poisoned or attacking others!" Thorne said sharply:

"It can be seen that Flint was not poisoned because he was bitten. It must have been poisoned by other wizards."

"I thought you had some great ideas...that's it?"

Rolf's half-smiling expression showed his disdain for Thorne's remarks.

"To talk about toxicity regardless of dose is to be a hooligan. You met a wizard who was bitten before, but the poisoning dose was too small, so there were no obvious symptoms.

But that doesn’t mean they weren’t poisoned.”

"Just like if you were bitten by a bamboo-leaf green snake and it didn't die, you can say that it is a slightly venomous snake?" Luo Fu sneered and said:

"The strength of the toxicity is based on the LD50. The snake is a highly venomous snake, but the amount of poison it excretes is very low, only a dozen milligrams each time. Therefore, most people will not die after being bitten."

"You don't understand such a simple truth? How did you teach the Care of Magical Creatures class?" Luo Fe sighed:

"Can you be an Auror at your level?"

"He's a trainee Auror." Margery said with a last-ditch attack at the right time: "It's still unclear whether he can become a full-timer."

"Oh, that puts me at ease." Luo Fu sarcastically said in a sour tone:

"I advise you to come to Hogwarts as soon as possible to catch up on Care of Magical Creatures, otherwise it may be difficult to become a regular student."

Thorne's face turned red with anger, and he shouted loudly: "Who knows if you are talking nonsense?"

"Sorry, the conclusion that this toxin can be transmitted through bites is not from me, it was from my grandfather." Luo Fe shrugged.

"What kind of unknown person is your grandfather?!"

Margaery laughed so hard that she put her arms around Rolf's shoulders and said, "His grandfather is... Newt Scamander."

Thorne: "..."

Everyone suddenly realized that no wonder this young man was so confident. He turned out to be the famous Scamander.

Now there is a reason to believe it!

"My grandfather is indeed not very famous." Luo Fe blinked and said:

"But Mr. Thorne, since you think you won't be poisoned after being bitten, we might as well make a bet... let the patient bite you a few times, and I will give you a thousand Galleons for each bite.

You won’t die anyway, isn’t it a good deal?”

Thorne's face turned blue, he really didn't dare agree to this bet.

"Okay." Seeing that the situation was about to get out of control, Horst interrupted the quarrel, walked over, and asked:

"Rolf, so do you know what kind of poison this is?"

The Auror Office has been investigating this matter recently, but has no clue at all and cannot find the source of the poison.

"This poison comes from the blue-eyed toad, which is a magical creature unique to Colombia." Luo Fu explained:

"This kind of toad secretes a toxin on its skin that causes hallucinations and pleasure. The local indigenous wizards have the tradition of licking this toxin to make themselves hallucinate."

Rolf saw this magical creature when he and Newt traveled to Colombia together, but Newt did not record it in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them".

The reason is simple. This kind of toad is only distributed in a small area. If it is recorded, he is afraid that other wizards will hunt it... or even breed it on a large scale and abuse it.

Like now!

"If you just lick the toad's skin, the intake is not large, and it will not attack other people." Rove continued:

"It should be someone who extracted this toxin and injected it into the wizard's body."

"This kind of large-dose injection will make the wizard go crazy and attack people around him. The body's various endurance capabilities will also be greatly improved. For example, the ability to tolerate pain will not cause pain even if the arm is cut off."

"It can only be done by purgers." Horst said seriously: "Can you provide any other clues?"

Luo Fe thought for a while and said: "This kind of toad lives near the crater and feeds on magma. I suggest going to the volcano closest to New York to investigate."

Horst rubbed his eyebrows and said loudly: "Didn't you hear? Take action immediately."

After everyone left, Horst patted Rove on the shoulder and said:

"I didn't expect that you would solve a big problem for me as soon as you came here."

Luo Fu said modestly: "Even if I am not here, you will definitely find the problem soon."

"But more people may die." Horst warned: "Rolf, go home for dinner tonight and don't follow Margaery around, okay?"

"Yeah, I know." Luofu nodded quickly.

Horst smiled with satisfaction. He liked honest children like Rolf who looked reliable and would not do anything out of the ordinary.

"As for you." Horst looked at Margery again. He was smiling just now, but now he immediately said with a straight face:

"What clothes are you wearing? Change them for me quickly, and these handcuffs... What do you want to do by cuffing Luo Fe? As a sister, you must act like a sister, and don't lead him into trouble."

After Horst walked away, Margery shouted: "Whose father is he? Why do I feel that he is better to you?"

Luofu smiled and said nothing.

Margaery tapped her finger on the young man's forehead and said softly: "Make you laugh!"

"Margery, why is that Thorne targeting me?" Rolf covered his head and said, "It can't have anything to do with you, right?"

"He has been chasing me and was rejected by me, so he is jealous of you." Margaery sneered.

"Is that so...is he stalking you?" Rove asked, "Do you want me to help you break three of his legs? Give him a warning?"

"Little Luo Fu has grown up and can protect his sister!" Margaery put her arm around Luo Fu's shoulders and said with a smile:

"How about I check your physical development tonight? Let's see if you are really that good."

"..."

"Let's go home." Margery threw the car keys to the boy and said, "You will drive later."

"Ah?" Luofu said, holding the key: "I don't have a driver's license?"

"It's okay." Margaery yawned and said, "Me neither."

"..."
