Chapter 62 The Sick Veela

Taking the Portkey, Rolf, Shirley and Hermione soon left London and appeared in a clearing.

Rolf had long been accustomed to portkey travel, and his feet landed firmly on the ground.

Shirley and Hermione were a little dizzy and staggered for a moment, but the young man held their arms to prevent them from falling.

After she stabilized herself, Hermione looked up and looked around. She was originally very excited, but suddenly she looked disappointed.

The imagined scene of loud gongs and drums, blasting firecrackers, waving red flags, and huge crowds of people did not appear. Instead, all I saw was a misty... wilderness.

"This is the venue for the Quidditch World Cup?" Hermione said in disbelief: "Why is it so desolate?"

"It's not the competition ground." Rove shook his head and said, "It's still a few miles away from the competition ground and the camp."

"So far?" Shirley asked with some confusion: "Why doesn't the portkey send us directly to the campground?"

"In order to facilitate wizards from all over the world to arrive at the Quidditch stadium, the Ministry of Magic has produced many door keys and placed them in different locations." Rove patiently explained:

"Although they are small and inconspicuous items, there is a possibility that they might be picked up by Muggles and they might be brought here accidentally."

"If the portkey is set near the camp, they will come into contact with the wizard and may hide in the tent, making it difficult to find them.

But when they appear in the wilderness, it is easy for Ministry of Magic staff to find Muggles... and deal with them."

Shirley and Hermione suddenly realized that there were such small details in it.

When Rolf talked about Muggles taking the portkey by mistake, he suddenly remembered an interesting story and said with a smile:

"When I was a kid, I went to a Celestine Warbeck concert with Margaery, and a Muggle used a portkey to suddenly teleport to the scene."

"Then what?" Shirley asked with interest.

"Celestine Warbeck pulled that Muggle and sang "A Pot of Fiery Love" with her." Rolf clicked his tongue:

"After the concert, officials from MACUSA used a forgetting spell to erase the person's memory, but she still remembered the melody after she returned to the Muggle world.

She later re-wrote the lyrics and wrote a song with the same melody, which became the best-selling single in North America that year."

Hermione was a little shocked and asked: "What's the name of that Muggle singer?"

"Madonna!"

"..."

While the three of them were chatting, a familiar voice suddenly sounded in the distance. "You three, hurry up and register!"

Luofu turned around and saw a familiar figure walking out of the thin mist. He smiled and said:

"Tonks, why are you here?"

"Ah, Rolf!" Tonks also recognized the boy and said in surprise: "When did you come back from Berlin?"

"It's been almost a week since I came back." Luofu looked at her and asked, "What are you doing here?"

"Registration for those of you who are watching the game." Tonks raised the thick roll of parchment and quill in her hand.

"You were finally fired from the Auror Office because you were unable to become a full-time employee?" Rove joked, "Why, you were sent to the Portkey Office again?"

"Don't talk nonsense, I'm an official Auror now!"

Tonks took out an ID card from her pocket with photos of her activities on it. She raised her eyebrows and said with a proud smile:

"What do you think, if you mess with me again, I will take you to my tent on the grounds of obstructing official business... and torture you.

Aurors have many criminal laws that you can't think of!"

"Oh, it's not the time when you asked me to help you break the eucalyptus on the Orient Express." Luo Fu sighed:

"Now that I have become a regular person, I have turned my back on you and don't recognize anyone else."

"You have one-third of the credit for me becoming an Auror." Tonks smiled and said, "Isn't that okay?"

"Congratulations on becoming an official Auror, Tonks." Shirley congratulated her.

"Congratulations." Tonks winked at the ponytailed girl and said, "I'll treat you to something to eat later."

"That's pretty much it." Rolf said strangely: "No, you're an Auror, why are you doing registration work here?"

"We don't have enough manpower, let me help." Tonks' eyes flickered a little, and when she saw the boy staring at her with disbelief, she could only sigh and said honestly:

"Okay... I made a small mistake while I was working, so Minister Fudge sent me here."

"What's wrong?"

Tonks hesitated for a long time before saying embarrassedly:

"When I divided the tent locations for the Quidditch teams from each country, I arranged the Ukrainian and Russian teams next door, and the Israeli and Palestinian teams on the opposite side.

Then, those players started fighting."

"..."

Rolf was a little speechless. He wanted to know if Tonks was careless and not on purpose?

"By the way, Minister Fudge said that when you arrive at the camp, he will ask you to go to his tent to find him." Tonks reminded again:

"His tent is in the center of the first camp. It is a four-story purple tent."

"I understand." Rove nodded and said, "I'll help you say a few good words in front of Minister Fudge later."

"okay!"

The three of them bid farewell to Tonks and walked through the deserted swamp for about twenty minutes. Gradually, the camp appeared in front of them.

Thousands of strange-shaped tents went up the gentle slope of a large site that stretched into a dark forest on the horizon.

Rolf took Shirley and Hermione through a group of tents and soon came to an ordinary-looking tent. He stopped and said:

"This is it. You two, go in. My sister Margaery is inside."

"Aren't you going in?" Hermione asked doubtfully.

Rove quickly shook his head and said, "I'll go find Minister Fudge first."

The young man looked in along the door curtain, but did not see Margaery. He took a breath and whispered:

"My sister is not very smart. You two must be careful...I'm leaving first."

Luofu quickly picked up the box, stayed away from this place of right and wrong, and walked towards the first camp according to the address given by Tonks.

In the center of the camp, there was a particularly conspicuous tent. It was built in the shape of a four-story building with several turrets next to it, and there were several Aurors guarding the door.

Luofu walked to the door, nodded to one of the tall, dark-skinned wizards:

"Come Kings, I'm here to see him at Minister Fudge's invitation."

"Rolf, Minister Fudge is in the room, you can just go in." Kings said.

Luofu carried the box and walked in. He saw an extra large office with a soft carpet on the floor, a long black oak table, and dark walnut sofas placed around it.

Minister Fudge was sitting at his desk, writing something. After hearing footsteps, he raised his head and said in surprise:

"Rolf, you are finally here."

Luofu chatted with the minister for a while and asked: "How are those magical creatures doing?"

"It's terrible." Fudge sighed: "Especially those Veela..."

Hearing the word Veela, Rolf licked his lips and said excitedly:

"Then what are you waiting for... let's go quickly, I'm going to treat the Veela right now!"
