Chapter 7 You're Not Right

After lunch, Li Jie stayed at Wu's house for a while, chatting with Wu Aike's parents about daily life. Given his rank, the conversation was naturally enjoyed by everyone. Wu's mother's eyes looked at him a little softer, obviously.

I am more satisfied.

Around two o'clock, Wu Aike couldn't help but feel anxious when she saw that her boyfriend and his parents were chatting more and more enthusiastically without any sign of stopping.

We also made an appointment to watch a movie in the afternoon!

The movie started at three o'clock. As the time got closer and closer, Wu Aike finally couldn't hold it anymore and secretly pinched Li Jie's waist. He stared at the clock on the wall and frantically signaled to him that the time was almost up.

Li Jie noticed Wu Aike's little move, immediately understood what she meant, and took the initiative to say goodbye.

After the young couple left, Mother Wu poked Deputy Inspector Wu next to her.

"Old Wu, have you noticed that Xiao Jiang seems to have changed a little, but I can't tell where."

Deputy Inspector Wu smiled mysteriously, but did not answer. He walked slowly towards the study, humming a ditty with his hands behind his back.

"Pfft!" Mother Wu looked at Deputy Inspector Wu pretending to be mysterious and complained to his back: "Pretend to be a ghost."

The district for the family members of the Metropolitan Procuratorate was in a very good location, only a few minutes away from the city center. The two of them simply walked there without driving, treating it as a delayed post-meal snack.

On the way, Wu Aike hugged Li Jie's arm tightly. From a distance, it seemed as if her whole body was hanging on him.

"Jiang Yang, something is wrong with you today."

"What's wrong?"

Wu Aike said charmingly: "Anyway, something is wrong. You were not as good at talking as you are now. Just now, the way my mother looked at you was more affectionate than when she looked at my own daughter."

Li Jie saw the way she pouted her little mouth and instantly understood what the problem was.

Turns out I was jealous!

Now that the problem is found, the solution is simple.

Easy to handle!

"Hey, wait."

Suddenly, Li Jie stopped and faced Wu Aike.

"There seems to be something on your face."

Wu Aike subconsciously wiped it on his mouth, and then a puzzled expression appeared on his face.

"Is there nothing?"

Li Jie reached out and touched her cheek and replied in a positive tone.

"have!"

Wu Aike said blankly: "What is there?"

“It’s kind of pretty.”

"ah!"

Wu Aike was stunned when he heard such novel love words. It is now 2003, and this is not a time when future generations will be brainwashed by countless self-media. The earthy love words are not earthy at all now.

After being stunned for a while, joy followed, an uncontrollable joy of happiness, and the corners of his eyes and eyebrows were filled with joy.

Well!

Wu Aike was so excited that she kissed Li Jie directly in the street, and then she 'questioned' him very harshly.

"What does it mean to be 'a little' good-looking? Is this lady just a little good-looking?"

Li Jie sighed deeply when he saw her like this.

Women, indeed, are all duplicitous animals. They obviously like to listen and are very happy, but they have to act as if nothing has happened, and sometimes even slap them.

"How could it be? How could it be possible that the eldest lady is pretty? You are extremely beautiful. Meeting you is the most beautiful scenery in my life."

"snort!"

Wu Aike cockily tilted her head. Although she didn't say anything, her crescent-shaped eyes betrayed her.

After walking a few steps, she turned her head back and looked at Li Jie carefully up and down.

"Tell me, who did you learn these words from? How many girls have you deceived with these words before?"

"Yes, I am a liar." Before Wu Aike could get angry, Li Jie immediately added the next sentence: "I, a liar, will only lie to you in my life."

"you……"

Wu Aike lightly hammered Li Jie and muttered.

"Ignore you! You big liar!"

The two of them fought all the way to the cinema. 2003 was a very important year for the Chinese film market. With China's accession to the WTO, the country slowly opened its doors, and imported films swept the entire market with lightning speed.

At the box office, imported films overwhelmingly beat domestic films.

Practitioners related to film and television all exclaimed that the wolf is coming.

Due to special reasons this year (SARS in 2003), there were not many movies shown in the cinemas. There were only three movies showing in the Pingkang County Cinema. Wu Aike picked and chose, and finally chose the newly released Hollywood blockbuster "The Lord of the Rings: The Lord of the Rings".

"The Two Towers".

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is the second film in the Lord of the Rings series. Since I have not watched the first film, Wu Aike started to fall asleep halfway through the movie, and in the end she fell asleep directly on Li Jie's shoulder.

It’s on.

Li Jie watched it with gusto, but this movie was a bit old for him. Compared with the special effects of later generations, this one, which is said to be the most top-notch special effects at the moment, seems a bit lackluster.

What really attracts him is the grand worldview behind it. The Lord of the Rings trilogy has written a magnificent magical epic. The first part is shocking, the second is tragic, and the third part averts danger.

When this movie was released in the main world, Li Jie was busy with his studies and had no chance to go to the cinema to see it, so he had to look for pirated resources online.

Unexpectedly, in the dungeon world, it made up for it.

Boom!

As the angle of view on the screen slowly increased, the three-hour viewing experience came to an end.

The lights are on!

Wu Aike rubbed his eyes to block the slightly dazzling light.

"Is it over?"

"Well, it's over. Let's go and have dinner."

"This movie is so boring. It's a human, a dwarf, an elf, and there's a hairless monster (Gulu). Halfway through, my brain turned to mush." Wu Aike stretched out his hand.

He was lazy and complained: "However, after a good sleep, I feel a lot more energetic."

The two walked out of the cinema hand in hand and went straight to the restaurant.

After eating, the two of them walked around the pedestrian street for a while, and they didn't go back until the moon was high.

Back home, Deputy Inspector Wu and Mother Wu were still asleep. The old couple were sitting on the sofa and watching TV. One of them was knitting a sweater and the other was holding a book in his hand.

My mind is obviously not on TV. Watching TV is not the focus. Waiting for my daughter to come back is.

Click!

When Wu's mother heard the noise, she immediately raised her head and looked at the door. When she saw her daughter coming back, she felt relieved.

"You're back? I've boiled the bath water. Xiaojiang, you go ahead and wash it. I've put your clothes in the bathroom for you."

"Thank you, auntie."

Li Jie thanked him, then said hello to Deputy Inspector Wu and went to take a shower. He would stay here at night.

Don't get me wrong, he is not sleeping with Wu Aike. Although the two of them have done everything they should do, they still haven't made a breakthrough at the last level.

The study room is where he sleeps. There is a folding wire bed in it. As expected, it has been laid out now.

For those of you who haven’t watched the plot, you can check out the Easter egg chapter, which contains photos.

I finally managed to save two manuscripts, but today my goddaughter’s full moon wine was gone, and they were gone immediately.
