Chapter 20

Until Gu Beixian's car was out of sight, Su Hua still stood there, looking straight in the direction where the car disappeared.

I can't describe what I feel in my heart, I feel a little empty and lost.

The wind picked up the leaves and swirled them around her feet.

After standing there for a while, Su Hua turned around and went back to her grandfather's house.

She took the key and entered the east side room, which was her grandfather's ancient painting restoration room. It was also the place where she spent the longest time as a child.

The room still remains the same, with two half-person tall red solid wood tables placed in the middle. On the tables are repair tools such as pens, sheep's hoof knives, and sheep's tripe towels.

It had not been cleaned for a few days, and there was a thin layer of dust on the table.

Thinking of her grandfather who died of stomach cancer, Suhua's nose felt sour and her eyes became wet.

"This is where you learned art when you were a child?" Shen Huai's voice came from behind.

Su Hua nodded, "Yes."

Shen Huai walked to her side, raised his hand and touched the table, "I admire you very much. When I was young, my grandfather also wanted to pass on his craft to me. I gave up after learning it for less than a month. I couldn't sit still and it was boring. The craft of restoring cultural relics is too demanding and not something ordinary people can do."

His grandfather also restored ancient calligraphy and paintings and was very famous in the industry.

Su Hua smiled and said, "When my grandpa wanted to pass it on to my mother, she couldn't calm down either. But it has to be passed on, otherwise it will be lost."

"Yes, the threshold for doing this is quite high. You need to be calm, spiritual, perceptive, patient, tough, and hardworking."

"Yes, especially don't be impatient. When you unveil a painting, you have to do it bit by bit. Sometimes it takes half a month. If you get a little impatient, the painting will be damaged."

Shen Huai looked sideways at Su Hua with gentle eyes, "You must have had a very hard childhood, right?"

Su Hua gave a faint smile and said, "How can there be such a thing as childhood? The other children were playing outside, and I kept copying ancient paintings one after another."

"It's so miserable."

Su Hua smiled, "It's a bit."

While they were talking, Mrs. Liu quietly walked in with a rag, wiping here and there, glaring at Shen Huai's back with hostility.

Shen Huai leaned closer to Su Hua, and slowly moved his hand to hers, wanting to hold her hand.

It was too late, but it was too late. Mrs. Liu picked up the broom behind the door, rushed behind Shen Huai, patted his feet hard, and shouted: "Doctor Shen, give way! There was a mouse running past just now. Got it!"

Shen Huai quickly moved aside.

Su Hua looked at Aunt Liu in confusion.

This house was specially built by my grandpa. It is extremely well-sealed and even cockroaches cannot get in. How could there be mice?

Soon, she understood that Gu Beixian must have told her something before leaving.

I had never found him to be so possessive before. He wouldn't even allow her to say a few words to Shen Huai.

The group of people had dinner until evening.

After Suhua washed herself, she lay on the bed and read a book.

Sister-in-law Liu trotted in with her cell phone in hand and said, "Young madam, Mr. Gu's phone number is that I have something urgent to call you."

Su Hua took it and asked, "What's wrong?"

Gu Beixian's deep and magnetic voice came from the mobile phone, "Grandma is ill and in the hospital. She wants to see you. I have notified the bodyguard, please come back soon."

When Su Hua heard this, she quickly picked up her clothes and put them on.

The last time I saw my grandma, she looked very weak. She is old and a cold or a fever is very dangerous.

Su Hua got dressed, simply packed her things and walked out.

Shen Huai was standing in the yard smoking.

Su Hua said to him: "I have to go back, Grandma Gu is hospitalized."

Shen Huai put out his cigarette butt and said, "Okay, I'll go with you."

More than three hours later, the group arrived in the city.

After parting ways with Shen Huai, Su Hua brought Mrs. Liu and her bodyguard to the hospital.

Ward.

After getting out of the elevator and turning the corner, Suhua saw Gu Beixian standing tall and tall by the window smoking.

He is tall, handsome, has an outstanding temperament, and is full of nobility. He stands out in the crowd and is very eye-catching.

Just as Su Hua was about to call him, she suddenly heard a crisp "Brother Beixian".

Immediately afterwards, a figure ran out from the fire corridor, stepped forward and hugged Gu Beixian's waist, put his face on his back, and said affectionately: "I heard that grandma is sick, I came to see her ."

The woman is very beautiful, with a small face and a delicate look born of wealth.

It was Chu Suosuo.

Su Hua's heart thumped against her ribs, throbbing in pain.

His feet were nailed to the same spot, and his legs seemed to be filled with lead, unable to take another step.

Sister-in-law Liu hurriedly shouted: "Mr. Gu, the young lady is back."

Gu Beixian held Chu Suosuo's hand, moved it away from his waist, strode towards Su Hua, and said quietly: "Why don't you make a call when we get here? I can go downstairs to pick you up."

Su Hua was speechless, glanced at him coolly, moved her heavy legs, and walked towards grandma's ward.

Enter the house.

The old lady was sitting on the hospital bed drinking bird's nest soup. When she saw Su Hua, her cloudy eyes lit up, "Hua'er, I haven't seen you for a while. I heard Beixian said you were on a business trip?"

This should be Gu Beixian's excuse for her.

Su Hua responded, restrained her emotions, put her injured hand behind her back, and said with a smile: "Grandma, how is your health?"

The old lady sighed, "As I get older, my body is like paper, and I get cold when the wind blows. Come, come and sit down, let grandma take a good look at you."

Su Hua bent over and sat down beside her bed.

The old lady saw her hand behind her back and pulled it curiously, "Why is it always hidden behind her back?"

"It's okay." Su Hua subconsciously hid back, but she was pulled out.

I saw that two fingers of Suhua's left hand were splinted, and all four nails were purple and black.

The old lady gasped and felt extremely distressed, "Tell grandma, how did you get those hands?"

Su Hua said quietly: "A few days ago, I provoked a tomb robber. He was arrested and sent to prison. His sister came to seek revenge."

The old lady was trembling with anger, "Why are the tomb robbers so bold? They even dare to touch members of our Gu family and risk their lives? Please tell me carefully what is going on?"

Su Hua told her the ins and outs of the incident in detail.

After listening, the old lady moved her eyes slightly and fell into deep thought.

After a long time, she said: "Bei Xian was also there on the day of the incident. They don't know you, but they can definitely find out Bei Xian. How can a little tomb robber like his sister be so bold to seek revenge on you?"

She suddenly raised her head and glanced at the door, and said with unclear meaning: "Nine times out of ten, I was instigated by someone and used it as a gun."

Su Hua's heart skipped a beat and she followed the old lady's gaze and saw Chu Suosuo standing there.
