1626 Pengfei

Zhuang Hualin and his son Xiang Pengfei came to Suzhou for the National Day. After getting off the train, they went back to their parents' home.

After Zhuang Chaoying received the news, she immediately rushed home with her wife and children to meet her sister whom she had not seen for many years.

As soon as the family stepped into the house, Wang Gang felt something was wrong in the atmosphere.

In the living room, the father and mother-in-law were sitting on one side with dark faces, Zhuang Ganmei and his wife were sitting on the other side indignantly, and a middle-aged woman stood in the middle with a child in her arms.

"Hua Lin." Zhuang Chaoying saw the middle-aged woman and rushed over excitedly.

"Brother."

The brother and sister were very happy to meet, especially Zhuang Chaoying. When he saw the little boy in his sister's arms, he asked, "Is this Pengfei?"

Zhuang Hualin nodded, pushed the little boy and said, "Pengfei, call uncle."

"Hello, uncle." The little boy called politely.

"Okay, okay." Zhuang Chaoying touched Xiang Pengfei's little head, and then introduced his family to his sister.

"Hualin, this is your sister-in-law Huang Ling, nephew Tunan, and niece Xiaoting."

Wang Gang and Zhuang Xiaoting also called them aunt out of politeness.

"Tunan has grown so big. I heard my grandma say that you skipped a grade in elementary school and junior high school, and was recommended to a key middle school."

Zhuang Hualin seemed to be more interested in Wang Gang, but ignored his niece Zhuang Xiaoting.

"Hualin, why didn't you tell me in advance when you came back so that I could pick you up at the train station." Zhuang Chaoying said, holding her sister's hand.

"I don't want to trouble brother, you are quite busy at work," Zhuang Hualin said sheepishly.

Before Zhuang Chaoying said anything, Zhuang Kanmei's wife said angrily: "I don't think you are embarrassed to trouble us!"

Zhuang Chaoying and Huang Ling looked at Zhuang Ganmei and his wife in surprise, and at this time they also realized that something was wrong in the atmosphere.

"What's going on?" Zhuang Chaoying looked at her parents and asked.

Zhuang's mother sighed and said, "Hualin wants to send Pengfei to school in Suzhou?"

Zhuang Chaoying said happily: "Hualin, are you moving back to Suzhou?"

Huang Ling understood the implication and did not show much joy.

"Brother, I want Pengfei to settle down in Suzhou to go to school, while Lao Xiang and I will continue to stay in Guizhou."

"Ah, why?" Zhuang Chaoying asked puzzled.

"The schooling environment in Suzhou is much better than that in Guizhou. We don't even have a decent high school." Zhuang Hualin said with a bitter face:

"Lao Xiang and I can work as hard as we want, but we don't want Pengfei to have no future and live in the mountains all his life."

Zhuang Chaoying understood and began to have troubles in her heart.

It was no small matter for Xiang Pengfei to come to Suzhou to study. Let’s not talk about the household registration issue. Just taking care of a child is a very heavy responsibility.

Zhuang Hualin wanted his son to live with his parents, but obviously the old couple and Zhuang Ganmei didn't agree.

It's not surprising when you think about it. Zhuang's father and mother valued sons and daughters and didn't want to see their biological daughter. How could they accept their grandson?

As for Zhuang Ganmei and his wife, they are even less willing. They are used to being selfish and have no time to take care of other people's children.

Before Zhuang Chaoying and his family came, Zhuang Hualin had knelt down and begged his parents for a long time, and the couple didn't let go.

Zhuang Hualin couldn't help but look to his elder brother Zhuang Chaoying, wanting to ask for help.

"Chaoying, you are the eldest, you should help your younger brothers and sisters. What do you say about Hualin?" Zhuang's mother said.

Zhuang Chaoying was in a dilemma. He wanted to help his sister, but Huang Ling now had the final say in the family.

"Huang Ling." Zhuang Chaoying looked at his wife with twinkling eyes.

Huang Ling said extremely firmly: "If you want to take in your nephew, I won't agree."

Zhuang Chaoying said awkwardly: "Hualin has suffered a lot in Guizhou. She has never asked for anything from her family in all these years. Pengfei is still young, so living here is just a matter of having more pairs of chopsticks."

Huang Ling said angrily: "Zhuang Chaoying, listen to what you are saying. Is this a matter of adding double chopsticks?"

Wang Gang took Huang Ling's hand and said, "Mom, don't say it in front of the child."

Huang Ling was stunned and couldn't help but look at Xiang Pengfei, who was huddled in Zhuang Hualin's arms, and her heart softened.

"Tunan, you take your brothers and sisters to the supply and marketing cooperative to buy some candies." Huang Ling took out the money and tickets and handed them to Wang Gang.

Wang Gang greeted Xiang Pengfei and took Zhuang Xiaoting to the supply and marketing cooperative.

After the child left, Zhuang Hualin immediately knelt down in front of Huang Ling.

"Sister-in-law, please help me! Pengfei is still young and cannot be trapped in the mountains all his life. He will not cause you any trouble in the future. I will send you my monthly salary." Zhuang Hualin pulled Huang Lingyi.

Horn, pleaded.

"Hualin, you get up first, we have something to talk about."

Zhuang Chaoying and Huang Ling set up Zhuang Hualin on the left and right sides. Zhuang's father and Zhuang's mother did not move their butts from the stool from the beginning to the end.

"Huang Ling." Zhuang Chaoying comforted her sister, and then said to Huang Ling: "Just treat this as my begging, okay."

Huang Ling said with a cold face: "It's not that I'm unkind. Taking care of a child is not that simple. I don't have to worry about food, clothing, housing, and transportation. If something happens to the child, who dares to take this responsibility."

Zhuang Chaoying fell silent when he heard this, remembering that his daughter Zhuang Xiaoting was sick and had a fever, and he stayed with her day and night.

If something happened to his nephew who came to live there, it would be hard for him to explain it to his sister.

Zhuang Hualin said: "Sister-in-law, don't worry, if anything happens to Pengfei, I will never blame you."

Huang Linghan said with a cold face: "But I will blame myself."

Zhuang Hualin was speechless after hearing this.

Huang Ling turned to look at Zhuang Chaoying and said, "My opinion is that it is definitely not possible to send Pengfei back to Suzhou alone. How about we all think of a way to transfer Hualin and his family back to Suzhou."

"Ah!" Zhuang Hualin looked at Huang Ling in surprise.

Zhuang Chaoying's eyes lit up and she looked at her parents and said, "Mom and Dad, Hualin is your daughter. It should be easier if you transfer your household registration back."

"No, absolutely not." Zhuang Ganmei was the first to stand up and object.

"Qianmei, Hualin is your biological sister. If it hadn't been for her, you would have been the one who should have gone to the countryside!" Huang Ling sneered.

Zhuang Ganmei's face turned green and red, feeling as if she had eaten a fly.

"We only have this little space at home, where can my sister and her family live when they move back?" Zhuang Ximei's daughter-in-law shouted.

Father Zhuang and Mother Zhuang didn't want to see their daughter, so they also said, "Besides, Hualin's working relationship is all in Guizhou, what can they do if they are transferred back?"

Zhuang Hualin's heart dropped when he saw his parents' attitude.

Huang Ling asked: "Hualin, what do you do in Guizhou?"

Zhuang Hualin said: "I passed the medical school exam in Guizhou and now work as a nurse in a health center."

Huang Ling turned to Zhuang Chaoying and asked, "Hello, nurse! This job is very popular. Chaoying, is there a shortage of people in your school clinic?"

Zhuang Chaoying said: "I really don't know this. I have to go back to school and ask."

Huang Ling said: "My idea is for everyone to ask each other if it is possible to transfer Hualin's working relationship back to Suzhou. As long as the work can be implemented, we can find a solution where we live."

Zhuang Hualin was very touched when she saw that her sister-in-law had been helping her find a solution, unlike other Zhuang family members who were evasive.

"Hua Lin, don't worry about Pengfei's affairs. We are all one family. If you can help me, I will definitely help you. But if it is beyond my ability, don't blame me."

"Sister-in-law, thank you." Zhuang Hualin cried with emotion.
