416 Qing Dynasty

Wang Gang walked into the little emperor's palace under the leadership of the eunuch.

In fact, the emperor is almost thirty years old and can no longer be called a little emperor.

But Wang Gang still subconsciously regarded the emperor as a child.

The closer Wang Gang got to the little emperor's palace, the more dangerous he felt.

Ever since he broke through the internal martial arts and survived nine deaths on the battlefield, his premonition of danger was very effective. Sometimes he felt that this premonition was the supreme secret of internal martial arts, so he could not notice it and avoid danger.

Arriving at the emperor's palace, Wang Gang suddenly stopped and stood at the door of the palace. He glanced around and raised the corner of his mouth.

"Your Majesty, the Emperor is waiting for you in the palace." The eunuch reminded Wang Gang when he saw that he was not leaving.

Wang Gang puffed up his chest and strode into the hall.

The little emperor was sitting in the palace waiting for Wang Gang, and he didn't look sick at all.

Wang Gang walked up to his nephew and said directly without saluting, "I thought you wouldn't be in the palace."

The little emperor narrowed his eyes and said, "How can I not see my uncle coming into the palace?"

Wang Gang looked at the empty palace and said puzzledly: "I thought there should be some other people in the palace."

The little emperor's face darkened and he asked: "Since uncle has noticed it, why did he still enter the palace?"

Wang Gang said calmly: "Because I want to see my nephew one last time."

After saying that, a large number of guards suddenly poured into the palace, each with weapons in their hands, aiming at Wang Gang.

The little emperor was also surrounded by many guards.

"Uncle, I don't want to kill you, but your prestige is too high. If you don't die, I, the emperor, will be a puppet." The little emperor stood up, pushed away the guards around him, and said to Wang Gang.

Wang Gang stared at the little emperor and asked, "Why did you choose today?"

The little emperor's face became increasingly gloomy, but he did not answer Wang Gang's words.

Wang Gang thought to himself and said, "Is it because I have a son?"

The little emperor nodded gloomily and said: "I believe that my uncle will not betray me or the Song Dynasty. I know your ideals, and I am willing to fulfill your uncle's wish to become a famous minister.

But I cannot believe that my uncle’s son will not threaten the imperial power in the future.”

There were many ministers in history who usurped power. They may not have threatened the imperial power when they were alive, but as soon as they died, their descendants immediately usurped power.

For example, Cao Pi, the son of Cao Cao, and Sima Yan, the son of Sima Zhao.

The founding of the Song Dynasty was inherently unfair. At the beginning, Zhao Kuangyin relied on his military power and wore a yellow robe to bully the orphans and widowers of the Chai family.

After the little emperor learned that Wang Gang had a son, he couldn't bear it immediately. He wanted to deal with Wang Gang quickly because he was worried that his future descendants would end up like the Chai family.

"Alas, there really is no family affection before power." Wang Gang sighed.

The little emperor said in a deep voice: "I know that my uncle has the late emperor's edict in his hands. I can promise you that as long as you hand over the edict, I will not involve the Sheng family."

Wang Gang raised his eyebrows and said, "The Queen Mother is also a member of the Sheng family. What are you going to do to your mother?"

The little emperor said matter-of-factly: "The Queen Mother is old and frail, suffering from all kinds of diseases. She will go to the palace to recuperate in the future. Doesn't she like Qi Heng? I will let Qi Heng stay with her forever."

Wang Gang nodded and said: "At last you have not completely lost your humanity, which is good."

The little emperor suddenly felt something was wrong. He suddenly became frightened and shouted to the guards around him: "Kill him quickly."

Just as the guard was about to take action, the person next to him suddenly stretched out his steel knife towards his colleague.

The little emperor broke out in a cold sweat.

A large number of guards died under the swords of their companions, and then they all gathered behind Wang Gang and put away their weapons.

Except for the corpses on the ground and a eunuch, there was no one around the little emperor.

"You, you!" The little emperor pointed at the palace guards, speechless in disbelief.

"Guan Jia, you are sick. You should stay in the deep palace and recuperate from now on!" Wang Gang sighed and slowly turned around.

"Uncle, do you want to trap me in the palace forever?" the little emperor roared unwillingly.

Wang Gang did not answer and slowly walked out of the palace. He did not leave the palace, but went to see Sheng Minglan.

Sheng Minglan seemed to have expected that Wang Gang would come to see her, and no one was left by her side.

Wang Gang stood opposite Sheng Minglan and said, "Sixth sister, I'm sorry."

Sheng Minglan asked: "Why don't you abolish the emperor?"

Wang Gang shook his head and said: "I have thought about it for many years and finally understand the reason why the late emperor left me to cancel the edict."

Sheng Minglan asked in confusion: "What's the reason?"

Wang Gang said: "As long as I have an edict in my hand that can threaten the imperial power, the officials will never treat me as an uncle, and one day they will kill me."

Sheng Minglan asked in surprise: "The late emperor was plotting against you until his death?"

Wang Gang sighed: "This is the emperor's mind."

Sheng Minglan was still puzzled: "Isn't the late emperor afraid that you will really destroy the emperor?"

Wang Gang laughed and said: "Of course the late emperor is not afraid. He has more than one son. If I really abolish the official family, it will anger the entire royal family. There will always be ministers who will support other royal descendants to fight against me."

Sheng Minglan sat down and said: "This is what the late emperor had in mind."

Wang Gang nodded and said: "What the late emperor wanted to protect was not you and his son, but the Zhao family. He was not afraid that I would usurp power, but he was afraid that I would not usurp power."

Sheng Minglan's face was gloomy, she shook her head and said, "How do you plan to treat my son, third brother?"

Wang Gang said: "I will never usurp the Zhao family in my lifetime."

Sheng Minglan raised her head in surprise, and she understood another meaning of Wang Gang's words.

He himself would never usurp the Song Dynasty, but his descendants would not necessarily do so.

Wang Gang left the palace. From then on, the little emperor was completely trapped in the palace. Wang Gang also began to control the government and crazily implemented reforms.

The young emperor once wanted to contact the courtiers and overthrow Wang Gang, but Wang Gang noticed him every time. None of the ministers were spared, and all their homes were confiscated and their families exterminated.

Wang Gang was merciless. He put away all his kindness and went on a killing spree in order to advance the reform, killing everyone in the court who opposed him.

In the 10th year of Yuanyou's reign, he spread the rule across the country. At the same time, Wang Gang sent Gu Tingye to recover Xixia.

The Song army, equipped with firearms, marched straight in, broke through the Xixia capital without encountering much resistance, and completely destroyed the Xixia Kingdom.

After the fall of Xixia, Wang Gang rewarded Gu Tingye for his merits and granted him the title of Duke of Xia. He himself was promoted from a county prince to Prince Qing.

Next, Wang Gang used nepotism and appointed his own people in important positions in the court.

In the twelfth year of Yuanyou, the young emperor died in depression. Sheng Minglan, who had white hair, gave away her black hair. She was in so much pain that she completely secluded herself in the harem and did not care about worldly affairs.

Wang Gang supported the six-year-old prince to ascend the throne and was known as Emperor An of Song in history.

Three years after the establishment of the industry, Wang Gang presided over the successful reform. The Song Dynasty was peaceful and the people were safe, and the country was prosperous and strong. Wang Gang finally began to unify the country and sent Xia Guo Gong Gu Tingye to send troops to the Liao Dynasty.

Four years after the establishment of the industry, the Song Dynasty and the Liao Dynasty fought a decisive battle, and the world was decided in one battle. In the artillery fire, Emperor Yelu Hongji of the Liao Dynasty was killed, and the Liao Kingdom was officially destroyed.

Six years after the establishment of the industry, after wiping out the remaining forces of the Liao Kingdom, Wang Gang sent troops into Liaodong to eliminate the Jurchens who were still in the development stage.

After nine years of establishment and no external enemies, Wang Gang began to focus on domestic affairs.

In the same year, Sheng Hong passed away and Wang Gang was buried with royal rites. Three months later, Wang Ruofu and Lin Sushuang passed away one after another, accompanying Sheng Hong.

Wang Gang was very sad to lose two relatives within one year, and rarely took two days off from court.

Eleven years after the establishment of the industry, the emperor gradually came of age and intended to take back power from the Sheng family. However, Wang Gang noticed it in advance and was defeated and captured. He could not bear the humiliation and committed suicide.

Wang Gang held a funeral for the emperor. Since he had no heirs, Wang Gang could only support his brother to ascend to the throne and become a puppet emperor. The power of the Sheng family reached its peak and could depose the emperor at any time.

Some of the courtiers had already advised Wang Gang to abolish the emperor and establish his own country, but Wang Gang refuted it.

Four years later, Hai Chaoyun raised Wang Gang's only son and finally died with a smile on his face. Wang Gang lost his beloved wife and the whole country mourned him.

Sheng Yong paid tribute to his mother-in-law, Haishi, and thanked her for her kindness in raising her.

After his son grew up, Wang Gang began to teach him how to govern the country and fully cultivated him as a successor king.

As Wang Gang's only son, Sheng Yong has been very competitive since he was a child and has excelled in reading and practicing martial arts. Wang Gang is very satisfied.

Perhaps due to his practice of internal martial arts, Wang Gang was getting older, but his body remained strong. He controlled the government for more than 40 years and paved the way for future generations before his sudden death.

After Wang Gang's death, his son Sheng Yong inherited the title of Prince Qing. With the support of the Sheng family, he continued to control the Song Dynasty. Three years later, he felt that the time was right, deposed the emperor and established his own country, and founded the country as "Qing".

Daqing founded the country, treated the descendants of the Zhao family well, and named Wang Gang, the founder, Emperor Xiaowu.

Sheng Yong inherited Wang Gang's legacy and never gave up expanding his territory. He conquered the grasslands in the north and conquered Fusang in the east, establishing a huge empire that had never been seen before.

But the moon waxes and wanes, and 420 years after the founding of Daqing, it is still heading towards destruction, and a new dynasty rises.
