Chapter 17: Li Li is gone again

"You said Li Li left? What about Li Zhen and Li Ya?"

After Tang Qing asked this question, he immediately regretted it.

"Master Jiujin, what, what is true? What, what is elegance?"

Bao was surprised when he heard Tang Qing's razor fall to the ground.

"Oh, it's nothing. I'm asking Li Li if she really left Yancheng and didn't keep her mourning for Master Li? Alas, I've been so busy these days that I can't sleep well. I can't even hold a razor."

As Tang Qing spoke, he bent down and picked up the razor from the ground.

The contractor shivered and stood up from the barber's chair, and said as he stepped back;

"Master Jiujin, I only have these few hairs, so I won't shave them anymore. I won't shave them anymore."

"You really don't want to shave?"

"No more shaving."

"It's up to you. I'm also afraid that I won't be able to hold the razor steady, so I might accidentally cut it and hurt your body."

People in Yancheng usually call a person's head six pounds and four ounces.

There are two explanations for why it is called this.

One is from the legend of Qianlong’s voyage to the south of the Yangtze River.

It is said that Emperor Qianlong once went to the south of the Yangtze River. He and his guards dressed up as masters and servants and visited Yan City secretly.

At noon, two people were hungry, so they walked into a tavern and ordered good wine and food.

After eating and drinking, Qianlong stretched out his hand to pay for the meal. Unexpectedly, the money in his trouser pocket was gone, and he secretly shouted: "No! It was stolen."

What should I do if I can't pay for the meal? Fortunately, Qianlong had a dragon and phoenix loppa on his body. He gave the dragon and phoenix loppa to the guards to pawn money in the pawn shop, and paid for the meal when he came back.

The guard came to the pawn shop and asked for one hundred taels of silver.

When the waiter saw that it was just a piece of ropa, he refused to take it as a hundred taels anyway, and the two couldn't argue.

The pawnshop owner heard the commotion in the shop and walked out to ask why.

The waiter handed the ropa to the boss. When the boss saw the dragon and phoenix ropa, he knew it was not an ordinary thing and wrote a pawn ticket to Konoe.

A few days later, Qianlong completed his private visit and asked the Yamen to hand over one hundred taels of silver to the guards to redeem Luopa.

Unexpectedly, the pawnshop clerk said that one hundred taels was not enough, and he needed two hundred taels.

Konoe asked: "Wasn't it worth one hundred taels at that time?"

The waiter said: "One hundred taels? How much is it on the ticket? See for yourself!"

Konoe picked up the pawn ticket and looked at it, and almost fainted from anger.

The pawn ticket is obviously one hundred taels, but how come it turns into two hundred taels when you put it in and take it out? Isn't this a tactic of swapping the package?

Jinwei had no choice but to come back and tell Qianlong.

During Qianlong's unannounced visit, he heard a lot about the pawnshop owner's dirty tricks, and Konoe's experience was just confirmed.

Qianlong said: "It doesn't matter if you give him an extra hundred taels, but you must get back six catties and four!"

At that time, one pound was sixteen taels, and six pounds and four was also one hundred taels.

The meaning of Qianlong's words is that after the investigation is clear, the money will be recovered in full.

Later, after an investigation, the pawnshop owner’s case became increasingly serious, and he was finally sentenced to death.

On the day of the beheading, the people of Yancheng clapped their hands and cheered:

"The pawnshop owner adjusts the package, adjusts the package to the emperor, and transfers one hundred taels of silver to six pounds and four taels."

Later, people in Yancheng called a person's head "six pounds and four ounces".

Of course this is just folklore.

The second statement is more scientific.

According to medical measurements, an adult's head weighs approximately 9 to 12 pounds.

One catty on the old scale is equivalent to the current sixteen taels, and "six catties and four taels" is equal to: 6×164 = 100 taels, which is the current 10 taels.

10 pounds, right in the middle range between 9 and 12 pounds.

Therefore, there is still a certain scientific basis for calling a person's head "six pounds and four ounces".

Tang Qing said, I haven't slept well these days. What if I can't hold the razor steady and stab it down in a daze, injuring your six pounds or four ounces?

Can this prevent Bao Wenwen from trembling with fear? It’s not like he has never seen Tang Qing’s shaving skills.

"Master Jiujin, I don't want to shave anymore, I don't want to shave anymore."

Bao Wentan covered his six pounds and four ounces with both hands and retreated to the door of the People's Barber Shop.

"What? If you don't shave your head, you won't be able to provide information?"

Tang Qing wiped the razor in his hand.

"Provide, provide, provide the same."

Bao Wenting looked at the razor in Tang Qing's hand and did not dare to leave the People's Barber Shop or approach Tang Qing.

"Come in and sit down. Shake your legs as hard as you can, or you'll become shaking and you'll never be able to ride a rickshaw again."

When Tang Qing saw that Bao was in a dilemma, he pointed to a long row of benches.

"Master Jiujin, I'm not shaking, not shaking, not at all."

Bao's legs were shaking even more violently, and he swayed to the side of the long bench. After sitting down, his legs were still shaking.

Tang Qing saw that Bao Wenwen's legs were shaking really badly, so he took out a fifty-yuan note from the cash box and handed it to him and said:

"This money is considered your intelligence fee, take it."

"Ah?! Really?! Master Jiujin, are you really going to give me information fees?"

Bao's legs immediately stopped shaking, his expression returned to normal, and his eyes shone brightly.

"What? No? Then I'll put it back."

Tang Qing made a show of opening the cash box.

"Master Jiujin, I want it, I want it, this is the remuneration for my labor, how can I not want it."

Bao DaTing snatched the fifty-yuan note from Tang Qing's hand, clenched it with both hands, and kept shining it into the bright light.

This time it was great, my legs stopped shaking and my hands stopped shaking.

"Why don't you put it in your trouser pocket quickly? If Mr. Long and Master Wang come here after taking a nap, I'm sure they won't be confiscated by you."

Tang Qing scares Bao into asking.

"Can't confiscate, can't confiscate."

Bao asked hurriedly and put the fifty yuan note into his dirty pocket.

"You said you would go to the hospital to settle the bill tomorrow. Where is your money?"

"Master Jiujin, the money is on the card, it's all on the card."

"Did Boss Li ask you to come over and hand over the card to me? Do you want me to accompany you to check out tomorrow morning?"

"Yes, yes. Master Jiujin, you are really possessed by an immortal and have the body of a vajra!"

"Bring the card!"

"oh."

Bao Wenwen tremblingly took out a bank card from his pocket and looked at it several times before handing it to Tang Qing.

"What? You can't bear to part with it? Why are you reluctant to part with other people's money? Let me tell you, this is ill-gotten wealth of yours. If I tell policeman Xiao Wang, I will ensure that you add to your crime and go inside to eat steamed buns.

Enough!"

Tang Qing reached for the bank card and put it in his trouser pocket.

Tang Qing never uses a wallet, nor does she always carry a bag when going out like other women. Her trouser pockets and clothing pockets are all-purpose. Keys, mobile phones, money, etc. are all stuffed into the bags. Of course, it is the most convenient

, the most important thing in the bag is always a razor.

"Master Jiu Jin, I will compensate the Pig Butcher and Aunt Shanghai some money myself. You must be merciful and don't send me inside."

"Okay, for the sake of the neighbors, I won't send you inside for the time being. However, you have to promise me three things."

"Master Jiujin, let alone three buns, as long as you don't send me inside to eat steamed buns, I will promise you thirty or three hundred buns."

"You may not be able to do all three of them for me, but it's still thirty or three hundred!"

"Master Jiujin, I promise to do it, I must do it, I must do it!"

"Okay, then just listen!"

"Master Jiujin, let me take a pen and write it down."

"Remember, you scoundrel, the first thing is that Boss Li gave you the money and everything you heard and saw from Boss Li, you must completely forget it!"

"I remember it, but I have forgotten it. But Dadu Qian also heard some things and saw some things? What should I do?"

"He definitely doesn't see and hear as much as you. You just have to promise yourself, and I will naturally make him forget about it!"

"Forget, forget, completely forget!"

"The second thing is that you must report to me every move of Big Belly Money at any time, especially his 'money begets money' situation."

"Master Jiujin, I came here today not only to give you a bank card, but also to report to you about Daduqian's 'money begets money' activity."

"Listen to what I have to say about the third matter, and you can report it later."

"Okay, let's talk about the third thing first."

"The third thing, if someone from Boss Li contacts you, you must report it to me as soon as possible. If there is any delay, I will let you swing on your other foot before I send you inside to eat some steamed buns!"

"The first time, the first time, I promise not to waver, and I promise not to go in and eat bland steamed buns."

“Tell me, how’s the ‘money begets money’ thing going?”
