Chapter 1 Soul Wear

After Hou Shize woke up, he didn't open his eyes immediately. He subconsciously touched the bedside, where his cell phone should have been.

After groping carefully, Hou Shize found nothing. He put his hand under the pillow and started groping carefully again, but still found nothing.

Finally, Hou Shize reluctantly opened his eyes, and the eyepatch had disappeared. This was a common thing. He had a bad sleeping posture, and the eyepatch was often pressed under him or thrown to the bedside the next day.

Turning around and lying down, Hou Shize saw a wooden ceiling with an oil lamp that needed to be lit with fire.

He blinked his eyes and rubbed his fluffy hair again, but the scene in front of him remained unchanged.

The ceiling of your home should be a standard cement wall painted with white paint, and the ceiling should be a ceiling-type chandelier instead of the oil lamps that should have survived in the last century.

For a moment, Hou Shize felt that his body was very stiff, as if he could not relax.

I subconsciously thought this was a dream, but it felt a little too real.

Finally, Hou Shize felt that his body was gradually under his control, and the ghostly feeling gradually disappeared.

I looked down and saw that my quilt had changed from a home quilt with many two-dimensional beautiful girls printed on it to a solid color thin quilt. The bed board was very hard, and it felt like a school canopy bed.

He sat up slowly. He was wearing a khaki jumpsuit with the number 1820 written on his chest. Although the ceiling was made of wooden boards, the surrounding walls were all made of stone. There was only one bed in the whole room.

, a sink and a squat toilet. In front of the room is an iron gate similar to a prison, and directly behind him is a small window no bigger than his head.

"Is this a prison?" Hou Shize touched his body and felt something was wrong. His originally thin body was now very strong for some reason, and the right hand of the jumpsuit was not cut open, completely covering his entire right hand.

Got up.

Standing up from the bed, Hou Shize felt that he seemed to be a little taller. He noticed that there was a mirror on the sink. Hou Shize walked slowly over and found that his face was different from before.

"What the hell is going on? This is not me at all." Hou Shize stroked his face and felt very surprised. Originally, he was only an eighteen-year-old young man, but the man in the mirror looked like he had grown up.

He was over ten years old, and his beard seemed to be very messy because he had not taken care of it for a long time. His long black hair reached his shoulders. Although his face was relatively delicate, because it was not his face at all, Hou Shize couldn't be happy at all.

Some are just panic.

"Time traveled? No, I didn't do anything. Aren't I just lying down at home as usual? Why did I time travel? According to the plot in novels or movies, I shouldn't have been hit by a truck or something before I time travel.

?" Hou Shize was very confused in his heart. He squatted on the bed with his head in his hands and closed his eyes tightly, hoping that he could feel like he could go back in time.

Unfortunately, before Hou Shize could stay for a while, he heard a burst of hurried footsteps outside. Opening his eyes, Hou Shize saw several men in black and white uniforms standing outside, holding similar riot control weapons in their hands.

Steel fork stuff.

"No. 1820, Ahs Gardner, come out." Someone who was probably a guard shouted as he opened the iron door.

"Ahs Gardner, are you calling me?" Hou Shize didn't react for a moment, but he still stood up obediently and walked out under the push of the guards.

On the way, Hou Shize saw many rooms similar to his own around him. It was either a prison or a prison. The people in the room were either lying lazily or staring at him with their deep eyes.

"I, where are we going?" As soon as Hou Shize said it, he suddenly felt something was wrong.

What I said was not my native Chinese. Although what I thought and said should be Chinese, for some reason, after I said it, it became a language I had never heard of. Now that I think about it, what I just said was Chinese.

The guard spoke the same language when he called him out, and he understood it somehow.

The guard ignored him and continued to lead the way quickly. The khaki jumpsuit that Hou Shize was wearing was very difficult to move. He could only follow the guard's pace with difficulty. If he walked slowly, he would be kicked a few times by the guard behind him.

"Is he going to be sentenced to death or something? How could there be such a thing? He just came over and didn't say anything to me. He was going to kill me when he came back." Hou Shize felt so miserable that he couldn't express it, so he could only be honest.

Really follow them.

Finally, they brought Hou Shize to a door.

"Go in." The guard poked Hou Shize's waist with a steel fork. Hou Shize felt the pain and quickly walked in.

The room, no, there is a hall behind the door. After entering, the position you are in is directly in front of the hall, which is a place similar to a podium. There is indeed a podium for your use, and there is a speech script on it.

There were many people sitting in the audience. The clothes they wore were similar to those in Western Europe in the last century, but they were obviously not here to listen to his speech. The men looked at themselves with anger on their faces, and the women

They wiped their tears with handkerchiefs and glanced at themselves from time to time, full of disgust.

"Now let the criminal read the oath." The guard next to him said loudly.

Hou Shize immediately realized that the criminal was referring to him, and the oath should be the stack of paper in front of him.

"I promise that from today on, I will have legal permanent accommodation and engage in a legitimate occupation." Hou Shize looked at the unfamiliar words above and read them out without any pressure. It seemed that this might be the first gold gift given to him after traveling through time.

The fingers are the words to understand the world.

"And I will maintain my good deeds, resolutely not associate with any criminals who have criminal records or criminal tendencies, correct my behavior, and draw clear boundaries with people who behave badly."

"I will also sincerely apologize to the victim, and I will sincerely compensate the victim's family for all losses." After reading this, Hou Shize couldn't help but frowned. Did he kill someone? The person he killed.

Who was it? Why did he kill him? Even though he didn't know it, now he had to take the blame for this man named Ahs Gardner. I really accepted it.

"Finally, I swear to the gods to strictly abide by the above rules and strive to be a new person. If I violate any of the above, I am willing to die as an apology and go to hell to accept my punishment."

After the reading was finished, several guards applauded, but the people in the audience still looked at him with resentment. It seemed that they were the family members of the victim. This was normal. They could not be blamed for reading a so-called sentence.

I swear to forgive my sins.

But what exactly did he do?

"Now please let the criminal apologize to the victim's family representative." the guard added.

Under the stage, a middle-aged man walked up.

"Apologise? How can I apologize? Damn it." Hou Shize walked up to him, his body couldn't help but tremble.

"Yes, I'm sorry, I..." Before he could finish his words, the man suddenly punched him. The punch hit his face directly. Hou Shize was knocked down by him as he was unsteady.

On the ground, the man then sat on her waist and punched her face one after another.

Hou Shize hoped that the guards could stop him, but the guards showed no intention of stopping him, and the people in the audience also applauded.

"Poof!" After Hou Shize was beaten until he vomited blood, the guard finally stepped forward and pulled the middle-aged man away.

"Hmph, bah!" The middle-aged man took out a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped his hands, not forgetting to spit on Hou Shize.

Then, several guards came forward and took Hou Shize away.

Hou Shize was taken to a place similar to a locker room.

"Change your clothes." The guard threw over a set of pure black clothes and walked out of the room.

Hou Shize was so dizzy from the beating that he reluctantly sat down while holding on to the wall. Hou Shize just wanted to cry bitterly now.

But for some reason he couldn't cry, so Hou Shize had to take off his khaki prison uniform and put on the black clothes.

For some reason, this black suit also had a black glove, and it was for the right hand. Hou Shize didn't know the rules of this world, so he had to put on the glove first.

After Hou Shize changed his clothes, several guards led Hou Shize out of the prison through the back door. Outside the prison, a black car parked there. The car looked quite retro. Although it looked like a steam car, for some reason, Hou Shize

I don't see the cylinder used to drive the car above.

"Get in the car." The guard kicked Hou Shize in the butt. Hou Shize staggered a few steps and quickly got into the car.

The car drove for a while. During this time, Hou Shize carefully observed the street.

Those antique-style houses and street lamps had been completely demolished long ago in the 21st century. They should only appear in movies, but now they are clearly in front of me.

I have traveled through time, and although this world looks very much like the European countries of the last century, it seems that this is an imaginary world at present, an era that has never appeared in my original history.

The car then drove to a suburban area and stopped in front of a rather large villa.

"Your father said that the key is under the carpet." After the guard left these words, he drove away.

After being thrown here, Hou Shize sat helplessly on the ground.

I don't have the joy and excitement of a time traveler at all, I just feel a deep sense of powerlessness and fear.

After a long silence, Hou Shize finally stood up.

"No matter what else, I have to survive first." Hou Shize tried his best to calm down, "My name is not Hou Shize anymore, my name is Ahes, Ahes Gardner."
