Chapter 13 High-end restaurants

"Hahaha, that's great, a whole two thousand karks!" As soon as Douglas left, Ahes grabbed the card and kissed it wildly.

"Stop it, you're so stupid." Claire immediately frowned and said in disgust.

"Two thousand, two thousand, that's it. I'm going to have a big meal too. I haven't tasted high-end food in this world yet." Ahs said, poking Claire's shoulder, "Let's go.

, go with me."

Claire glanced at Ahs and stood up.

"You probably haven't eaten any high-end food for a long time, right?" Ahs asked while walking on the road.

"The last time was probably when Nathaniel was alive and limber." Claire said, "I have almost forgotten the taste."

"Well, to be honest, I haven't been to any of your high-end restaurants, but I feel like I should be able to tell what high-end is based on the interior decoration." Ahes said, looking at the restaurants on both sides of the street.

I saw a restaurant on the second floor. The exterior wall paint was milky white, and the windows were also painted with gold paint. At first glance, it seemed out of place with the surrounding small restaurants with black and gray walls on the first floor.

"This looks like a high-end restaurant." Ahes pointed at the restaurant and said, "That's it."

"You may think that the prices here are not high now, because all you buy are things for common people." Claire said at this time, "The prices of high-end restaurants may be beyond your imagination."

"Isn't it possible that two thousand is not enough for a meal?" Ahs asked rhetorically.

"That's not clear. I don't know if prices increased during the time I was in the underground library."

"Anyway, let's go in first and then talk about it." Ahs said, taking the lead in walking towards the restaurant, followed by Claire.

Entering the restaurant, Ahes smelled a strong scent of perfume as soon as the door opened. To be honest, it was a bit choking. Ahes didn't really like this kind of perfume that was so fragrant that it was so fragrant.

"The nobles here, whether they are men or women, all wear perfume. Just get used to it." Claire glanced at Ahs and walked straight down the stairs to the second floor.

Arriving on the second floor, Claire took the lead and sat in a seat by the window. Upon seeing this, Ahes sat opposite her.

"Hello, welcome to St. Ed's Restaurant." The waiter came over and said. Ahes didn't care about the name of the restaurant. What he cared about was the waiter's dress.

"There are actually maid costumes in this world." Ahs thought as he stared at the waiter.

"Excuse me, what do you want?" The waiter noticed Ahes's gaze, turned sideways with slight disgust, and asked Claire.

"Come on, have some." Ahes glanced at Claire and said.

Claire was not polite and took the menu directly.

After Claire finished sketching, the waiter took the menu and left.

"If you dare to stare at a woman's butt with your eyes again, I will never go out with you again." After the waiter left, Claire pointed at Ahs with a fork and said.

"Wait, wait a minute, I'm not staring at her butt, I'm just curious about her clothes." Ahs said quickly, "What do you call those clothes here?"

"Maid outfit."

"Is it also called this name?"

"It seems that your world also has this kind of clothes." Claire put down her fork, picked up the teapot on the table and filled her cup with black tea. "In our place, women who serve other people can wear this kind of clothes.

The same goes for you there."

"Ah, almost the same. Of course, most women wear these clothes to please some men because of their bad taste..." Ahs's voice gradually became smaller, and in the end Claire didn't hear the whole story.

After a while, two male waiters came over pushing a dining cart. The dining cart had three levels. The first level contained two steaks on silver platters, the second level had some bread and French fries, and the third level had some bread and French fries.

Just some vegetables with salad dressing.

"Okay, let me guess, this thing costs a hundred kirks?" After the waiter placed the food on the table, Ahes asked while picking up a knife and fork to cut the steak.

"No, it cost four hundred," Claire said.

Ahes' hand holding the knife and fork froze in mid-air.

"I said, the prices in high-end restaurants are terrible." Claire looked at Ahs and couldn't help but smile.

"It's just ordinary steak meat and some potatoes cut into strips and deep-fried. Oh, by the way, there are also some broken vegetable leaves squeezed with white liquid. This thing costs 400 kharks.

"?" Ahs couldn't help but said.

"So, the catering industry is hugely profitable, and there will always be wealthy people who come to places like this to spend money specifically to enjoy the high-end atmosphere." Claire said.

There was no other way, Ahes could only accept it, otherwise he would have to rely on the power of the Book of Ashes to break out, but the consequence would be that he would be wanted, and he didn't want that.

While eating, Ahes glanced outside the window inadvertently. Downstairs, a black stretch car was driving towards this direction. This was the first time he had seen such a high-end car.

"Probably someone from a noble family." Ahes stared at the car closely. When the car passed the restaurant, Ahes saw the person sitting in the back seat of the car, a woman with light white hair.

"Hmm, she is still a noble lady."

"Poof!"

"Wow!" Ahs screamed in pain and found that Claire had inserted the fork into the back of his hand.

"So you can't change your habit of staring at women?"

"You have very good eyes, but you noticed me after just a few glances." Ahes quickly pulled the fork out of the back of his hand.

After settling the bill, Ahes and Claire prepared to go home.

When he was almost home, Ahes discovered that the stretched black car he had seen through the window was parked not far from his villa.

"Well, there should be no other place here besides my villa for a person who can afford to drive such a car to come here." Ahes frowned as he looked at the car, "That's right.

Coming to find you?"

"I should have said that most of the people I have been involved with so far have passed away, right?"

"That's right, that means they are here to find me." Ahs said, taking out the revolver from his pocket, opening the magazine and finding that there was no bullet in it.

"Phew, this is going to be troublesome. If anything happens, I will have to use [Book of Mist] or [Book of Ashes]." Ahs took a deep breath, put away his pistol, and walked towards the villa.
