Chapter 88 Heavenly Master Zhang Daoling

After reading the information in his mind, Lu Jing learned about a famous historical figure who is also a mythical and legendary figure - Zhang Daoling.

Zhang Daoling has many, many titles, but the most resounding among the public is Tianshi.

Historical records indicate that Zhang Daoling, whose original name was Zhang Ling, was named Fu Han. He was a native of Feng County in the Eastern Han Dynasty (now Feng County, Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province) and the founder of Taoism. Because the Five Dou Rice Road he originally founded was also called Tianshi Tao, he was also called Zhang Tianshi.

According to legend, he is the eighth-generation grandson of Zhang Liang, the founding hero of the Western Han Dynasty. His father, Zhang Dashun, was good at magical arts and called himself "Tongbai Zhenren". When he gave birth to a son, he named him "Ling" in the hope that he could follow his ancestors and stay away from home in the future.

In the mortal world, he ascended a mausoleum and became an immortal.

Zhang Daoling was very intelligent since he was a child. He read the Tao Te Ching at the age of seven. When he was a scholar of Taixue, he was familiar with the Five Classics, astronomy and geography, and the books of Heluo and Wei. More than a thousand people studied under him, but they often sighed.

The books he read could not solve the problem of life and death, so he abandoned Confucianism and learned the way of immortality.

When Zhang Daoling was 26 years old, he served as the magistrate of Jiangzhou, but soon resigned and lived in seclusion in Beimang Mountain of Luoyang (now north of Luoyang, Henan), where he studied Taoism intensively. Emperor Zhang of the Han Dynasty and Emperor He of the Han Dynasty successively recruited him as Taifu.

All positions of Hou and others resigned.

After that, Zhang Daoling began to travel around famous mountains and rivers, visiting Taoism and seeking immortality. He first traveled south to the Huaihe River and lived in Tongbai Taiping Mountain. Later, he crossed the Yangtze River with his disciples Wang Chang and Zhao Sheng and went south to Yunjin Mountain in Guixi County, Jiangxi Province. Yunjin Mountain has beautiful mountains and clear waters and quiet scenery.

As the residence of ancient immortals, Zhang Daoling built a hut on the mountain and built an altar to refine elixirs.

Legend has it that three years later, the magical elixir was completed and dragons and tigers appeared, so the mountain was also called Longhu Mountain. Zhang Daoling was 60 years old at that time. He heard that the folk customs in Sichuan were pure and kind and could be easily educated, so he moved to Heming Mountain in Sichuan.

He went to the southwestern Shu region and founded the Five Pecks of Rice religion. In the first year of Emperor Han'an of the Han Dynasty, Zhang Daoling asked the Supreme Lord to come down personally and teach him the "Three Days of Zhengfa" and appointed him as the "Tianshi". In the same year, he was also awarded the "Zhengyi Science and Technology".

"French", "Zhengyimengweimiaosutra", named "Three-day Dharma Master Zhengyi Zhenren".

In the second year of Emperor An of the Han Dynasty, Taishang Laojun ordered the twenty-four rule, the upper eight rule, the middle eight rule, and the lower eight rule, and asked the heavenly master Zhang Daoling to implement Buddhism. From then on, Taoism began to have a formal religious order.

Organized the "Zhengyi League Mighty Way", which was also called Tianshi Way in later generations.

He is the first generation of Celestial Masters of the Celestial Master Sect. He respects Laozi as his ancestor, so he is revered as the Celestial Master in Taoism. In the later period, the inheritance of the position of Celestial Master adopted the hereditary system.

Masters, collectively known as Zhang Tianshi.

There is also Zhang Daoling among the people who can slay demons and eliminate demons. He is proficient in Feng Shui divination, numerology, talismans, spells, thunder, and the nemesis of demons and monsters. He is the most feared by Yin spirits and is a land god.

Of course, what Lu Jing could read from the jade slips was that Zhang Daoling received the blessing of the Earth's Core Gourd, stepped into the path of cultivation, and finally achieved the realm of Nascent Soul. After that, he gave up the Earth's Core Gourd due to the bottleneck of cultivation and went to seek the Tao alone.

Jade slips and other items were left behind.

As for whether Zhang Daoling ascended to immortality or not, this is a mystery and no one knows.

But Lu Jing didn't care about this. What he cared about was the information that Zhang Daoling left on the jade slips. Inside the jade slips, Zhang Daoling left a classic called "The Code of Heavenly Masters".

This Heavenly Master's Code contains one volume of incantations, one volume of talismans and seals, and one volume of thunder methods!

The content introduced is all about subduing demons and eliminating demons, which was compiled through Zhang Daoling's lifelong study.

Lu Jing had been worried that there was no magic to learn, but after seeing the contents of the three volumes of the Celestial Master's Code, his heart became ecstatic.

Spell scrolls are small spells that are practiced and cast with the cooperation of mana and secret spells. There are no less than a hundred various spells such as gathering fire, gathering water, summoning wind, etc.

Talisman seals are basically the same as magic spells, except that talisman seals can be regarded as a stepped version of spells, because the basis of spells is mana, which cannot be cast if the mana is not enough, while talisman seals transfer mana into the special yellow paper animal skin.

On wood, jade, etc., it is more flexible, and you can draw symbols with just a lift of the pen, so the requirements are relatively low.

Of course, there are also very powerful talisman seals, but they are difficult to portray successfully.

The Thunder Method Scroll is a magical power that can be cultivated. It can summon thunder from the sky and gather thunder in the palm of the hand, commonly known as thunder in the palm. This requires understanding and practice, which is difficult. However, Lu Jing has seen that he can practice it, but it requires understanding and time.

In fact, in comparison, what is most suitable for him at the moment is the way of talisman and seal script.

After all, he is currently at the third level of Qi refining stage. Zhang Daoling left behind three volumes of the Celestial Master's Code, but they are not considered trivial. The spells and thunder methods are difficult for him. Even if he learns them, he will not be that fast. He still needs

In other words, if he improves his cultivation further, it may be easier to learn.

Only Fu Seal Script can be learned by everyone, because there are three types of Fu Seal Script: elementary, intermediate, and advanced.

With the support of the real energy in his body, he can completely carve the elementary and intermediate talisman and seal scripts. He doesn't want to worry about the advanced ones for the time being. Anyway, the elementary and intermediate levels are enough for him.

At any rate, it is something related to magic.

This made him very excited.

The only thing that made him depressed was that he found that the talisman can only be used to subjugate and eliminate demons. Forget about the demons, it is unknown whether that thing exists on the earth, and even the Yin spirit body may not exist.

To put it bluntly, it is used to catch g’s.

This in itself is also the seeing ability of Heavenly Master Zhang Daoling.

Lu Jing thought that no matter how many things there were, something was better than nothing. He started studying the talisman and seal script now, and he would have ways to deal with it if he encountered something like G one day.

The contents in the jade slips cannot be studied thoroughly overnight. He can study and study slowly in the future.

In addition to the jade slip, the second item is a piece of clothing with clear black and white colors. After opening it, there is a yin and yang diagram engraved on it. It is very thin, but opaque. In the introduction of the jade slip, this piece of clothing is called the Tianshi Taoist Robe, also known as the Taoist Robe of the Heavenly Master.

It's a yin-yang shuttle gown.

It is said that if you wear this dress, you can enter the underworld.

Traveling between the Yin and Yang realms.

A treasure of Niu Dafa.

The third item was a vermilion lacquer box. After Lu Jing opened it, he found two vermilion lacquer brushes, one large and one small, a jar of vermilion ink, and a plate of yellow paper that looked of high quality. It was blank yellow talisman paper, and one side was dyed with cinnabar.

There is a red inkstone, and at the end is a palm-sized seal, with the four words "Heaven, Earth, Dharma and Way" engraved on it.

There is no doubt that this lacquered wooden box is used to make talismans and seals.

The last item is a half-foot-long yellow gourd!

Lu Jing learned from the information on the jade slip that this gourd was a magical weapon refined by Zhang Daoling. It was called the Heavenly Master's Gourd, and it was a magical weapon for collecting spiritual monsters.

After Lu Jing saw these treasures, he refined the Yin Yang Taoist Robe and Tianshi Gourd one by one.

I originally wanted to ask Master Banshee what level of magic weapon the Yin Yang Taoist Robe and the Heavenly Master Gourd were, but I found out that she had left long ago.

I took out my phone and checked that it was already eight o'clock in the morning.

He promised Mu Guoyao to go see a doctor today and was ready to go out.

When he arrived at the Daogong compound, he took a look at the vegetables and strawberries planted the day before yesterday and found that they were all ripe.

Especially the one hundred strawberry plants, each strawberry is as big as a fist.

The red ones looked beautiful, and he couldn't help but pick one to try. It was sweet and delicious, and the juice was sweet but not greasy. It was so delicious that he couldn't help but eat seven or eight in one go and was full.

The rest were ripe, so he simply picked them all and stored them in the Taoist Palace. They would not spoil and the fruits would always be kept fresh. He would take them out to Bai Qiansu later to try them.

The harvested strawberries weighed at least hundreds of kilograms.

With a small basket, I was satisfied with the earth's core gourd.

As soon as he went out, he heard the doorbell ringing continuously. He knew that Mu Guoyao should be coming to pick him up, so he quickly went downstairs to open the door.
