Mei Shui Ping said: "The Tianyuan Temple looks like a smooth cone with four sides, but it is secretly divided into nine floors. Each floor has a hidden door. The Moral Hall, which is dedicated to the six great virtues, is the ninth at the top.
layer."
"I'll just go straight to the top floor."
While talking, he kept smiling, like an innocent child.
Xu Zhenyun hesitated and said: "Climbing up the stairs in front of you, taking each step steadily until you reach the top?"
Mei Shuiping stretched out his neck, his eyes widened and he said, "Does the layman have any special hobbies? Is he fond of self-abuse? Or is he fond of exercising?"
While speaking, he waved slightly, and a giant black bird emerged from the air, hovering three feet above the ground, flapping its wings.
The giant bird looks like a large eagle, its body is silver-black like pig iron, and its wings are nearly three feet long when spread out.
Xu Zhenyun took a closer look and immediately discovered that although the giant bird was lifelike, it actually had no trace of life and was actually an artificial puppet.
But it is not an "iron bird", but a wooden bird.
Mei Shuiping gently climbed onto Mu Niao's back and asked with a concerned look on his face: "If you are a layman who loves climbing, can I go ahead and wait for you at the top?"
Xu Zhenyun said quickly: "Don't mention me!"
He slightly bent his knees and jumped, and immediately jumped on the back of the wooden bird.
Mei Shuiping glanced at Xu Zhenyun, covered his mouth and smiled softly, with a cunning look in the corners of his eyes.
Then the sword finger was pinched, and the wooden bird carried the two of them straight up!
Xu Zhenyun was stunned and immediately realized: he was tricked by this guy with thick eyebrows and big eyes.
This little bald donkey is obviously a cunning person.
Those who first enter Tianyuan Temple often have a solemn and pious attitude. Walking up the ladder to heaven is very intuitive. I am afraid that nine out of ten newcomers will have this idea.
This guy must have seen a lot, he just deliberately teased himself.
Within half an hour, the wooden bird flew to the top of the "Pyramid", and Mei Shuiping and Xu Zhenyun jumped down.
It's not very clear from below, but it's clear when you get up close. The "top of the tower" is not square, but a rectangle, with narrow sides and long depth. You can vaguely see it, and it seems to be a series of vertical buildings, connected from front to back.
The walls of the building in front of you are paved with blue bricks. The brick surface looks old-fashioned, simple and solemn; but when looking at the details, every blue brick is smooth and pure, with no cracks visible.
The main door was the purest black, with no handles or doornails on it. Xu Zhenyun couldn't even tell whether it was made of fine iron or some other special material.
There is a plaque inlaid above the lintel, but it is empty without a single word.
As for the scale of the building, it is not very eye-catching. It is only the size of an ordinary residential house, far from being compared with the "Hongfa Hall" of the Jin Dynasty. It is hard to imagine that this is the highest point of the "Tianyuan Temple", where the six supreme great masters of heaven and earth are worshipped.
The place of virtue.
As Plum Water Vase chanted, the door suddenly opened slowly.
Then he turned around lightly, stretched out his left hand, and made a "come in" gesture.
Xu Zhenyun stepped in.
Once inside, Xu Zhenyun felt a subtle ripple in his heart.
When Xu Zhenyun looked out just now, he felt that it was extremely dark inside, probably even dimmer than at dusk; but after entering, he felt that it was extremely bright inside.
In addition, when viewed from the outside, the cyan walls and pure black front door look solemn and ancient, but they are spotless and so neat that it is almost unreal, as if they have been washed by fresh rain.
But inside this palace, you can vaguely see the dust floating around, and it is gray.
But looking at the underground, there is no trace of dust on the yellow wax ground. It seems that all the dust is floating in the air.
The new and the old, the past and the present, the dirt and the clean, are all lost in this small palace.
As for the furnishings in the temple, there are no extraneous items, only a statue of a character over one foot high.
Xu Zhenyun looked at the statue.
The statue is of a middle-aged man in his forties or fifties. Although he is wearing a bamboo hat, you can see that he is smooth and clean under the bamboo hat, without a trace of hair.
The middle-aged man is slightly hunched, wearing a khaki linen garment, and a brown necklace hanging around his neck, with a total of eighteen beads, each bead is the size of a fist.
The overall image...is like that of an eminent monk!?
Xu Zhenyun only felt that this statue was very "friendly". It did not have the "solemn and solemn" appeal of the temple or church in the previous life, but it made Xu Zhenyun feel relaxed, as if his mood and thoughts were more active than usual.
Mei Shuiping and Xu Zhenyun looked up together and said: "This is the first great virtue in the world, Mr. Yuan Mo."
Xu Zhenyun suddenly came back to his senses and asked hesitantly: "Do you need to kneel down?"
As a time traveler, although Xu Zhenyun advocates independence and freedom, he is not at the advanced stage of secondary disease such as shouting "My fate is up to me" all the time, and he is not very resistant to kneeling down to worship gods.
Not long after he was born, his mother adopted him to Erlang Shen according to rural customs. There were countless Bodhisattvas and gods who kowtowed to him when they were young.
Mei Shuiping smiled and shook his head: "No need."
"In fact, today in Xinyuan Continent, the ritual of kneeling down and worshiping gradually becomes less popular when ordinary people meet monks, or between monks of different levels, and between officials and people. Why is this? Of course it is a subtle infection from top to bottom."
"But it is worth mentioning that the etiquette for meeting the six eminent men is different - you can just follow me."
"I bow to Mr. Yuanmo with Namaste."
As soon as he finished speaking, Mei Shui Ping's expression suddenly became serious, he clasped his palms in front of his chest and bowed to the statue.
Xu Zhenyun imitated as usual.
It seems that nowadays when ordinary people meet Taoists and officials, they mainly perform "Namaste".
Mei Shui Ping's expression suddenly became calm, and his voice seemed low, but it was very clear: "Mr. Yuanmo, the name of the secular manifestation is Bhatta Yuanmo."
"From ancient times to 80,000 years ago, the Xinyuan Continent was originally in an era when demons were dancing wildly and the people were ignorant. Until Mr. Yuanmo came from the sky and enlightened a line of Taoist legends named 'Li Dao', which opened the "Wandering Around"
, the era of "preaching by chance", known as the first era under chaos. A bowl and a pair of bare feet, traveling through thousands of mountains and rivers in the Xinyuan continent."
"Among the six great virtues, he is known as the 'first in asceticism'."
"Praise says: He enters the mortal world gracefully and enlightens the great path to life."
Xu Zhenyun had already heard the general story of Mr. Yuan Mo; but when Mei Shui Ping told it again, he seemed to have some inexplicable insights.
But when it comes to capturing specific thoughts, there is no trace at all.
Also, among the ten major lineages of Taoism today, I don’t seem to have heard of a category called “strength”?
Was it lost later?
After standing there for about two or three minutes, Mei Shui Ping smiled and said, "Okay. Let's go to the next hall."
Xu Zhenyun was slightly shocked, has he finished paying homage to the first eminent person?
I thought there would be some special lecture or baptismal ceremony next...
Isn’t that too casual?
Xu Zhenyun followed Mei Shui Ping to the rear of the palace.
The back door is a small domed door more than two feet wide. Through the small door, you can see that behind it is a layout that looks like a secular courtyard, connected to the next building by a small courtyard.
In the courtyard is a bluestone path, with a yellow bell and a green tripod as tall as a person placed on the left and right.
But when Xu Zhenyun stepped out of the small door, his footsteps did not step on the bluestone path. There was a sudden change in front of his eyes, and he found that he was already in the second hall.
It seems that the middle courtyard part has been completely "skipped".
Looking up, I saw that the layout here was exactly the same as the first hall, and there was still only one image.
This statue is tall and majestic, with a Chinese-character face, hair spread freely, and a red robe with black edges. It has a powerful and unbridled "magic" style.
Xu Zhenyun inexplicably felt that this statue seemed a bit familiar. After recalling it for a moment, he immediately remembered that it looked very much like the Moon Worshiping Cult Master in The Legend of Sword and Fairy.
Mei Shui Ping said: "Greetings to Mr. Yuxun, I should pay my respects in return."
After finishing speaking, Mei Shui Ping placed his right palm vertically on his chest, turned around in a circle, and then bowed his head.
At this time, Xu Zhenyun knew that just let everything take its course, and there was no need to be too rigid. He imitated Mei Shui Ping's movements and was very interested.
After the ceremony, Mei Shui Ping said leisurely: "Mr. Yuxun, the pseudonym of Xinyuan Benzhou is Gu Yuxun. He came to the world 70,000 years ago. He opened up the mysterious path and developed the path of practice into silent practice and inner wandering.
'Standing Skill', and opened up a sect in the deep mountains."
"Since then, the two oldest sects in Xinyuan Continent have been born - one is a sect that practices the 'Li Dao' taught by Mr. Yuanmo, known as the 'Xuanwu Jingshe'; the other practices the 'Xuan Dao' taught by Mr. Yu Xun.
'One lineage, known as 'Taiqing Taoist Sect'."
"The subordinate branches of these two major sects have also sprung up one after another."
"Since then, Xinyuan Continent has entered the second era, known as the Sect Era."
"The reach of Mr. Yuxun's divine will extends to every living being in the heart of the continent. The reach of wisdom is entrusted to the bodies of countless sentient beings. What you see is what I see, and what you know is what I know. Under one realm, there is nothing.
It is secretive. Therefore, it is known as 'the most knowledgeable one'."
"Some people praised him and said: He left behind the world and became independent, and his witty words were about Xuanzong."
Xu Zhenyun was stunned and realized it secretly.
At this moment, he already knew very well that this trip to Tianyuan Temple was not as ritualistic as the church services in his previous life; but the more so, the subtle meaning was often hidden in the inadvertent details.
I seem to be thinking but not thinking, and seem to be remembering but not remembering.
Moreover, for most ordinary people, they all know the Taoist tradition of Xinyuan Continent from beginning to end - Mr. Yuanmo who opened the Taoist tradition and Mr. Chaoyin who established the Dao Xuanjing to save the Taoism. The middle four
Slightly less is known about this eminent man’s deeds.
What Plum Water Vase said is actually something that he cannot fully understand.
After the worship was completed, the two came to the third hall.
The statue in this hall is of an old man with a pale appearance. He wears a Xiaoyao scarf on his head and three wooden hairpins placed side by side in his bun. He wears a light blue robe that seems to have been washed white, and holds a scroll in his hand.
The image of the ancient Confucian scholar reminds Xu Zhenyun inexplicably of many portraits and sculptures of Confucius, Mencius, Cheng Zi, and Zhu Zi.
The third great virtue is Mr. Zhiyang.
The salutation is relatively simple. The two index fingers of your right hand form a "sword finger" shape, and then you nod slightly.
Mei Shui Ping said: "Mr. Zhiyang, whose secular name is Zhang Zhiyang, came to the world sixty thousand years ago. He opened up the line of 'Dharma', established the sect 'Crescent Sect', and discovered the magical effect of 'joining the world'.
It divides the two methods of cultivation into the world and into the world."
"Sitting alone in the mountains will inevitably lead to boredom and futility. Walking in the world, washing your body in the world of mortals, and being one with mortals can get rid of the disadvantages of a dry mind."
"From then on, the monks no longer hid in the sects in deep mountains and forests, in caves and paradises, meditating in seclusion, and only controlled the secular dynasty when they needed to allocate resources; instead, they began to get close to the human world and play in the world of mortals."
"There is a rift in the insurmountable gap between monks and ordinary people."
"Mr. Zhiyang left behind a book called "My Heart's Deep Secret Sutra", which discusses the Dharma of heaven, earth and man, and is as mysterious as it is profound. This book of mantras can solve all problems in the past and future and eliminate all worries; therefore it is known as the 'Number One Wisdom'."
"There is a praise saying: Vacant space produces wonderful existence, and attaining the Tao will turn to others."
Xu Zhenyun's heart moved and he asked: "When Mr. Yuan Mo traveled around, isn't it considered close to the human world?"
Mei Shui Ping did not explain the reason, but gave a very simple answer: "Of course not."
Xu Zhenyun nodded.
In a relaxed manner, I met six great sages, and the journey was already halfway over.
The feeling in my heart... seems to be really not much different from traveling to a temple? Is the little bald donkey next to me my tour guide?
