Chapter 666: Being splashed with blood

After the two best friends finished lunch, An Zhisu asked Song Jiaren if she wanted to go shopping. Song Jiaren waved her hand and said that she was going back to the law firm and that the court session was about to begin. She never had much free time before each court session, so she made an appointment with An Zhisu.

Let's go shopping together after the court session.

The two agreed and left the restaurant. Tang Zheng paid the bill at the back. The best friends walked out of the restaurant first, talking and laughing. As soon as they came out of the restaurant, they heard someone shouting: "Song Jiaren!"

The two best friends turned their heads at the same time when they heard the voice. Before they could see who was calling Song Jiaren, a basin of unknown liquid was thrown at them. They subconsciously covered their heads with their bags, but they were caught off guard and splashed all over themselves.

An Zhisu smelled the disgusting smell of dog blood. This fishy and stinky smell of blood turned the lunch that had not yet been digested into her stomach to the point where she almost vomited it out.

"Song Jiaren, you are aiding the evil deeds, and you will not die in peace." An angry and insulting voice came next to my ears.

An Zhisu pulled Song Jiaren and was about to return to the restaurant, but the aggressive person grabbed her clothes. She didn't know if she had recognized the wrong person, but the person raised his hand and was about to hit her.

Soon enough, Tang Zheng rushed over, kicked the man to the ground, and pulled the two women behind him to protect him.

The two women then had the opportunity to see who the person who was kicked to the ground was. An Zhisu obviously didn't know him, but Song Jiaren was obviously familiar with it, but they were obviously surprised that it was the other person.

"Do you know him?" An Zhisu asked, enduring the smell of dog blood on his body.

Song Jiaren nodded: "They are the victim's family members."

"Why do the victim's family want to trouble you?" An Zhisu didn't understand.

Song Jiaren smiled bitterly: "Maybe she hates me for litigating for the defendant."

"Nervous." An Zhisu rolled his eyes. When a murderer is tried, he must have a lawyer present to defend him. This is a legal regulation. How can he blame the defense lawyer?

The victim's family members were still cursing, but he was kicked to the ground by Tang Zheng. He simply sat on the ground and couldn't help. They began to accuse Song Jiaren of hiring bodyguards to beat him, and threatened to sue Song Jiaren.

"Sir, please don't be slanderous. The bodyguard is mine and has nothing to do with Lawyer Song. You suddenly rushed out and wanted to hit me. My bodyguard's retaliation was self-defense. You can't win wherever you go to sue." An Zhisu couldn't listen.

After going down, he spoke with a cold face.

"Aren't you and her friends? Who knows who ordered your bodyguard? You guys are working together, and no one is good. It's a pity that my brother died at a young age, and there are unscrupulous lawyers fighting the case for the murderer.

What a bullshit lawyer with the most sense of justice, I think you, Song Jiaren, are just an accomplice who is greedy for money. If you help others do evil, you will not end well." The man's voice was loud, attracting a crowd of onlookers.

An Zhisu was a little annoyed: "What nonsense are you talking about? If you keep messing around like this, we will call the police."

"Call the police? Okay, you report it, report it. My brother is a policeman, and he was killed for no reason. Song Jiaren still wants to defend the murderer, so you can call the police and see which side the police are on.

"When the man talked about his younger brother, his voice was as loud as a trumpet.

An Zhisu was stunned for a moment, looked at Song Jiaren, and asked silently: What's going on?

Song Jiaren returned a look that said "it's hard to explain".

"Young Madam, Lawyer Song, do you want to call the police?" Tang Zheng asked while guarding them. He didn't care about right or wrong, his duty was to protect An Zhisu.

"Forget it." Song Jiaren shook her head. She could understand the mood of the victim's family and didn't want to argue with it.

Tang Zheng nodded: "Then get in the car first."

An Zhisu and Song Jiaren agreed, and under the escort of Tang Zheng, they walked around the man on the ground, pushed aside the crowd, and prepared to leave.

The car was parked in the parking lot outside the restaurant, but before they could get close to the car, several cars suddenly stopped on the side of the road. After the car doors were opened, a group of reporters swarmed in and took random pictures of An Zhisu and Song Jiaren.

.

Both of them subconsciously raised their hands to cover their faces.

Tang Zheng immediately protected them behind him and scolded reporters: "What are you doing?"

"We are here to interview Lawyer Song. Lawyer Song, I heard that you are defending the murderer of the police killing incident. Why do you want to take this case?" A reporter immediately asked the question.

"Lawyer Song, you have always had a good reputation and you are Mayor Xia's daughter-in-law-to-be. Can you tell us what made you take on this kind of criminal prosecution case?"

"Lawyer Song, have you considered Mayor Xia when you defended the police murderer? Aren't you afraid that doing so will affect Mayor Xia's reputation?"

"Hey, isn't this the wife of the CEO of Shengshi Consortium? Mrs. Ye, Mrs. Ye, I heard that you and Lawyer Song are close friends. What do you think of her defending the police murderer? Do you also support her behavior?

"

"Mrs. Ye, the media previously reported that Mr. Ye bribed the prison guards to torture your stepmother and sister. Is this true?"

A group of reporters asked questions one after another. An Zhisu couldn't hear many of the questions clearly. He felt as if there were a thousand sparrows chirping next to his eardrums, and his brain was confused for a moment.

Song Jiaren's face turned pale. These reporters were caught off guard. They asked questions one after another without giving her a chance to answer. This was obviously intentional.

Tang Zheng deliberately pushed aside the group of reporters and sent them to the car first, but there were too many reporters. He couldn't handle it alone, so he could only protect the two of them with difficulty to prevent the reporters from getting close.

In the chaos, a shoe was thrown at Song Jiaren. Tang Zheng blocked it in time. The shoe fell to the ground with a clatter. The culprit was still the man just now.

"You bad guys who help the tyrants commit evil will not end well for you. My brother will not rest in peace until he dies, and he will turn into a ghost and come looking for you." The man kept crying with one foot bare.

The reporters were still chattering with questions. The scene was chaotic. Tang Zheng could hardly protect the two women by himself. He was squeezed by the crowd and reporters to a car. It happened that the owner of the car and his bodyguards were about to leave.

When I got on the car, the door was suddenly blocked. The owner of the car was very unhappy and shouted coldly: "Get out of the way."

This sentence of "get out of the way" was obviously not said to An Zhisu and the others, but to the aggressive reporters.

The voice sounded familiar. An Zhisu turned around suddenly and saw a familiar face.

Xiao Rui!

An Zhisu was surprised to see Xiao Rui here. He hadn't seen him for a long time. He was much thinner than before and looked at her indifferently.

The reporters obviously recognized Xiao Rui and stopped in their tracks when he scolded him, and even took a few steps back.

"Is it honorable for so many people to bully two women?" Xiao Rui said with a cold, sarcastic smile: "When did reporters become local gangsters?"

The reporters swallowed their saliva and blushed at what Xiao Rui said. One reporter said guiltily: "We just want to understand the situation."

"Oh, pardon my ignorance, I thought you were going to use force to defeat them." The sarcasm on Xiao Rui's mouth became even more intense.

Reporters were paid to do things, and they deliberately wanted to make things bigger. Xiao Rui mocked them a few times, making them even more guilty, and they all lost the shame to speak.

The two bodyguards behind Xiao Rui took the opportunity to drive them away: "Get out of the way, you are blocking Mr. Xiao's car."

The reporters and the crowd of onlookers quickly retreated and cleared a large space.

"You are blocking my car too." Xiao Rui glanced at the three people standing in front of the car door coldly.

"Sorry." Tang Zheng nodded slightly to Xiao Rui, thanking him for the rescue. Their car was on the other side. Tang Zheng protected An Zhisu and Song Jiaren and got into the car.

Before getting in the car, An Zhisu turned back to Xiao Rui and said, "Thank you."

Bang!

What answered her was the sound of Xiao Rui closing the car door.

Xiao Rui's car was in front, and the reporters did not dare to stop his car. Tang Zheng drove his car and followed closely behind him. He followed closely and did not give reporters a chance to stop the car. He took advantage of Xiao Rui's car to clear the way and left smoothly.

Parking lot.
