Chapter 216 Shi (Part 2)

After Yue Chen was busy in the kitchen for a while, he was kicked out of the kitchen by Aunt Mo. Yue Chen sat in the dining room with Liu Yingying angrily.

This dining room should be converted into a bedroom. There is an almost floor-to-ceiling glass window facing south, and the afternoon sun shines lazily on the bay window.

Directly facing the window is the lotus pond in the small park, and of course the black swan resting in the bridge hole.

"It's time to serve!" Aunt Mo brought another plate of side dishes.

"Auntie, there are already five dishes, don't work too hard!" Liu Yingying quickly stood up and took the plate.

"How can we open a banquet with five dishes? We need an even number of dishes!" Aunt Mo went into the kitchen again.

"What kind of rule is this?" Liu Yingying was confused.

"I'm not sure. It's probably the way of entertaining guests in the north, where you do as the Romans do." Yue Chen shrugged.

"The dishes are ready!" Aunt Mo came out with a bowl of fish soup, and Yue Chen and Liu Yingying hurriedly cleared the table.

"Thank you for your hard work, Aunt Mo! Come sit down and eat together!" Yue Chen said with a smile.

"You guys came back too late today. I just had a meal, but I can watch you eat and serve you a bowl of soup. You are too thin." Aunt Mo served a bowl of fish soup to Liu Yingying.

Although Aunt Mo's cooking is not as delicious as in a restaurant, every dish is made with care and tastes like home.

Yue Chen was very satisfied with the meal, but Liu Yingying lost her appetite. She checked her phone from time to time, looking forward to the test results of the stone.

"You guys, you only go home once a week, and you don't know how to come home more often." During the dinner, Aunt Mo suddenly complained.

"Isn't it because I'm too busy at work?" Yue Chen replied casually.

"Busy, busy, busy, you know how to be busy. Young people should not be busy with work all the time. They must learn to rest." Aunt Mo started the preaching mode.

"And you, just eat well when you're eating. If you're not looking at your phone, you're looking out the window. Is the food not to your liking today?" Aunt Mo's tone sounded a bit accusatory.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm too tired today." Liu Yingying trembled when she heard the words and quickly looked away.

"When you are tired, you need to take a good rest. Only when you have good rest can you work efficiently. Don't strain yourself all day long. You must know that you are just an ordinary person. Some things cannot be changed by your own efforts."

Aunt Mo said earnestly.

"I'm sorry, Aunt Mo, I understand. I'll have a good meal." Liu Yingying froze for a moment and said slowly.

In the next half hour, Liu Yingying really spent the whole time eating seriously, chatting with Aunt Mo about home affairs, and had no urge to look at her phone at all.

This surprised Yue Chen. She really didn't know if Liu Yingying had really figured it out or if she was just putting on a show for Aunt Mo to see.

But no matter what, Liu Yingying's performance made Aunt Mo very happy, and she even took out an old photo album to share with Liu Yingying.

"Actually, I know what's going on every time someone comes, but I tell myself to be strong. After all, you are all my children..." Aunt Mo began to tell Liu Yingying her story.

Unconsciously, the sun tilted to the west.

"Why are you so late? I'll cook for you." Aunt Mo looked up and looked out the window.

"Aunt Mo, let him cook dinner. He's a pretty good cook." Liu Yingying hugged Aunt Mo and signaled Yue Chen to hurry up and occupy the kitchen.

At this moment, Liu Yingying's phone rang. When Liu Yingying saw it was Wang Yuanhe, she looked a little embarrassed.

"It's about work, go ahead and do what you have to do. You've been with me all afternoon!" Aunt Mo waved her hand.

"You go check what's going on over there first. I'll cook some dishes for Aunt Mo first." Yue Chen knew that Liu Yingying wanted to cook something more for Aunt Mo.

"Team Wang." Liu Yingying finally answered the phone with confidence.

"The results are out." Wang Yuanhe said concisely and to the point.

"How is it?" Liu Yingying's calm heart became nervous again.

"You're lucky, it's indeed human blood." Wang Yuanhe said slowly.

"Then what should we do now?" After getting the desired result, Liu Yingying didn't know what to do.

"There's nothing to do, he's given it all up again." Wang Yuanhe couldn't hide his smile.

"Again? What happened?" Liu Yingying was a little confused.

"I can't explain it in one or two sentences. If you're curious, just read the transcript yourself." After Wang Yuanhe finished speaking, he hung up the phone.

"What's wrong? You're so anxious. Is there something urgent?" Aunt Mo noticed Liu Yingying's impatience.

"It's nothing, it's just a matter at work. Although it has been solved, I don't know how to solve it. I'm a little curious." Liu Yingying said honestly.

"Daughter, first of all, you should feel relaxed and happy after the problem is solved. Secondly, even if some contents are temporarily unclear, it doesn't matter, right? Everything is the best arrangement." Aunt Mo said unhurriedly.

Listening to Aunt Mo's words, Liu Yingying's impatient mood slowly calmed down.

"That's right, let's have a good meal later." Aunt Mo took Liu Yingying back to the restaurant.

During dinner, Liu Yingying really ate seriously the whole time without any distraction from work, which made Yue Chen startled and even wondered whether Aunt Mo had cast some magical magic on Liu Yingying.

By the time the two of them left Aunt Mo's house, the moon was already in the sky.

"Let's walk back from the park." Liu Yingying pulled Yue Chen as she walked onto the road.

"Ah? Okay, okay!" Yue Chen was so surprised by Liu Yingying's request that he was stunned for a moment before agreeing again and again.

"What kind of demon have you possessed today? How can you have such a leisurely mood?" Yue Chen couldn't help but ask while walking in the park.

"Don't you like it?" Liu Yingying asked.

"Of course I do. We haven't visited the park for a long, long time." Yue Chen was greedy for the beauty of this moment.

"Didn't I go camping with your teacher Huang to see the cherry blossoms not long ago?" Liu Yingying was talking about the four-person trip with Huanghe Qianqian.

"If we don't follow them together, would you like to go on a two-person trip with me?" Yue Chen asked seriously.

"Well... I didn't do it before, but I will in the future." Liu Yingying nodded.

"Aunt Mo is so awesome. What did she tell you? How come her thoughts have changed so much?" Yue Chen couldn't help praising Aunt Mo.

"I didn't say anything, just to tell me to slow down and not always hope to change anything on my own. I also thought about it. In the nearly one year since I joined the company, I seem to have no life of my own. Let's go see Dad tomorrow.

"Okay." Liu Yingying said slowly.

"Which dad?" Yue Chen was stunned.

"Look!" Liu Yingying made a "bah" expression.

"Aren't you going to investigate the case?" Yue Chen asked.

"The case is closed, I won't go." Liu Yingying said calmly.

"Case closed?! How do you say that?" Liu Yingying's words instantly aroused Yue Chen's curiosity.

"Don't be anxious. Aunt Mo didn't say you should slow down and enjoy life. I've asked Shitou to take a photo of the transcript and take a look at it when I get home." Liu Yingying said.

"That's good." Yue Chen's words were both thankful that the case was closed, gratified that he could see the transcript, and lamented that Liu Yingying was still the same Liu Yingying who loved her work.
