Chapter 38: Qingdao vs. Kansai (2)

When Taro Fukuda left the field and met Seido's second batsman Yuki Tanaka, he said to him: "The last pitch is a changeup."

After hearing this, Tanaka Yuki nodded and walked to the batting box next to home plate.

Yuki Tanaka walked up to the batting area, waved the metal bat in his hand, looked back at Director Kataoka who was at the entrance to the dugout, and after receiving his instructions, he made a gesture of waiting for a hit.

"call out!"

"Bang!"

“ball.“

The first pitch was a slider. The angle of the baseball thrown by Masaki Nakamura from the pitcher's mound was too far away from the home plate zone. As a result, the baseball could not slide smoothly from the bad zone to the strike zone. Yuki Tanaka did not wave the metal in his hand.

bat.

Kansai's catcher Obara gave a signal to pitcher Masaki Nakamura, asked for another sinker, and set up his sleeve.

After Nakamura Masaki nodded in agreement, he raised his legs and stepped forward, waved his hand, and the baseball flew out of his palm and galloped towards the home plate.

"call out!"

Straight ball? Tanaka Yuki vigorously swings the metal bat in his hand.

"Whoa!"

But the baseball suddenly changed direction in front of the bat swung by Tanaka Yuki, and fell diagonally into catcher Obara's bag.

"Bang!"

“strike.“

Obara stood up and took out a baseball from his holster and passed it to Nakamura Masaki, squatted down and gave him a signal.

"call out!"

On the batter's box, Tanaka Yuki frowned as he hit a fast straight ball to the inside corner. He then changed his body shape, stepped outside, and waved the metal bat in his hands with both hands.

"Whoa!"

"Ping!"

Unfortunately, it didn't hit the center of the ball, and it was a foul ball that flew toward the first base sideline.

Two good balls and one bad ball. Kansai catcher Obara thought for a moment and still chose to put the ball sleeve in the inside corner and asked pitcher Masaki Nakamura for another ball.

"call out!"

"Whoa!"

The metal bat that Yuki Tanaka swung away missed again.

"Bang!"

The baseball that flew past the pitcher's mound was once again firmly caught by Kansai's catcher Obara.

“strike out.“

"Two out!" Obara shouted loudly as he stood up, took out the baseball from his holster and threw it back to Nakamura Masaki.

"One more out."

"Vote to them! Nakamura."

The infielders and outfielders guarding various positions on the Kansai side also shouted loudly to pitcher Masaki Nakamura from behind.

Two batters in a row were struck out by Kansai pitcher Masaki Nakamura. Director Kataoka's expression became more serious, and he turned to give instructions to Hiroshi Ohta, who was about to hit the bat.

After Hiroshi Ohta saw the signal given to him by Director Kataoka, he nodded and walked towards the batting cage.

Obara glanced at Hiroshi Ohta who was standing in the batter's box, gave a signal to pitcher Masaki Nakamura, opened and set up his sleeve.

For the first ball, Obara asked Nakamura Masaki for a fast straight ball that was close to Ohta Hiroshi's knee and deflected to the inside corner.

"call out!"

A fast straight ball that misses the inside angle?

Hiroshi Ohta swung the metal bat in his hand vigorously, causing a violent collision with the baseball that was speeding from the pitcher's mound.

"Whoa!"

In the sky above home plate, the swinging metal bat collided with the speeding baseball, making the unique sound of the collision between baseball and bat.

"Ping!"

The power of the ball is so powerful! Ohta Hiroshi pushed the metal bat in his hand outwards hard.

"Boom!"

The baseball ejected from the top of home plate and flew a short distance before hitting the infield ground as a ground ball.

Hiroshi Ohta immediately dropped his bat and ran toward first base.

Kansai second baseman Morita Kazunari kneeled down to catch the rolling baseball and then passed the ball to first baseman Yasui Ippei.

"Bang!"

First baseman Yasui Ippei put one foot on the base bag and stretched out his arm to catch the baseball passed to him by second baseman Morita.

“out.“

Hiroshi Ohta rushed forward two more steps, then turned back to home plate, picked up the bat, and ran back to Aomichi's dugout.

A group of Kansai's defensive players trotted off the field and returned to the dugout. Kansai's shortstop and batman Naoto Araki changed his cap, tied his leg and elbow pads on, walked out of the dugout with his bat, and waved.

Bat, walked towards home plate.

"Come on Araki!"

"Swing with all your might!"

The Kansai support group was loudly cheering for him.

(Note: If the teams that appear in this book are real teams that exist in reality, then the names of the players will also be real.)

Unfortunately, Seido's pitcher Yagami Yagami was very difficult to deal with. After Kansai's pitcher Araki Naoto struggled with five pitches, Yagami Yam was struck out.

Kansai's right fielder and second baseman Yuyasu, who came on the field after that, hit a fly ball and was immediately thrown out by Aomichi's fielder; Kansai's third base player Sugiyama Nao Satoshi hit an infield bunt from Yagami Yagami, but

Before he could successfully run the base, he was blocked by Aomichi's first baseman Tetsuya Yuki.

At the end of the first game, the score between the two sides was 0:0.

"call out!"

"Whoa!"

"Ping!"

"Out of bounds!"

"call out!"

"Whoa!"

"Bang!"

"Three outs, exchange offense and defense."

"At the end of the fourth inning, Qingdao still didn't score in this inning. The score between the two sides is now 0:1. I really didn't expect that this game would turn into a pitching battle."

"That's right! It's just the fifth inning, and pitchers from both sides have already hit four balls twice, and then walked the opponent's batter."

Qingdao's fourth baseball player Dong Qingguo changed into his protective gear and walked onto the field with his bat.

"Dong, home run!"

"Boom out!"

Amid the cheers, Dong Qingguo walked to home plate, walked into the batting box, waved the metal bat in his hand, and prepared to hit.

"call out!"

"Bang!"

“ball.“

"call out!"

"Whoa!"

"Bang!"

"strike."

After missing the ball, Dong Qingguo stood up on the batting box again, raised the bat high, and once again waited for the hit.

"call out!"

Dong Qingguo looked at the baseball flying from the pitcher's mound, took a step back, and vigorously waved the metal bat in his hand.

"Whoa!"

"Ping!"

The metal bat that seemed to be sweeping everything collided violently with the baseball that was flying from the pitcher's mound, causing it to fly backwards into the sky.

"Home run! This is the first home run that Azuma has hit in this tournament! It is also the ninth home run in this tournament! It helped Aomichi equalize the score with Kansai. The current score is 1

:1.”

"Haha!" Dong Qingguo laughed and ran around the field back to home plate, picked up the bat he had dropped before, and exited the field.

On the waiting area, Murasuke Daiki, the fifth bat of Aomi, stood up, walked to the batting area with his bat, swung the bat, and assumed a posture waiting for a hit.

"call out!"

The baseball thrown by Kansai pitcher Masaki Nakamura flew over from the pitcher's mound. Daiki Murasuke looked at the ball that was deflected to the outside corner and was probably a ball without swinging the bat.

"Bang!"

“ball.“

The second pitch thrown by Masaki Nakamura flew from the pitcher's mound again, and it was another bad ball.

"Bang!"

“ball.“

Daiki Murasuke swung the bat, stood up on the batter's box again, and looked at Kansai pitcher Masaki Nakamura on the pitcher's mound.

"call out!"

"Whoa!"
