one hundred and three days

Hua Ling and Lu Ya lived together in the town for a year or two, and the guests nearby basically knew the two. One day, the new mayor brought a few people to Hua Ling's villa. Hua Ling saw five or six people.

When I arrived, I thought I had done something.

Hua Ling, who was lying drowsily on the table, suddenly woke up and stood up to greet the mayor: "What can I do?"

The mayor said cheerfully: "Xiaohua, you have been in the town for a long time. Is there anything you are uncomfortable with here? Hey, where is Xiaolu?"

When Lu Ya saw several people coming over, he thought they were looking for trouble, so he walked over and stood behind Hua Ling.

Hua Ling was puzzled: "I've been here for two years, how can I still feel uncomfortable?"

The mayor patted Hua Ling on the shoulder and put his arm around him like a good brother: "Let's get straight to the point. Xiao Hua and Xiao Lu, you usually stay near this house. We have never seen you except when you leave when buying goods.

What are you doing..."

The corner of Hua Ling's mouth twitched in embarrassment: "Mayor Ding, you don't get straight to the point. With so many people here, they can't possibly care about me. What's the matter?"

"It's just that the girls from these gentlemen's families have fallen in love with you. Take a look..."

Lu Ya pulled Hua Ling to protect him behind him. Several men were stunned when they saw this.

Hua Ling patted Lu Ya on the back, smiled and said to a few people: "I'm really sorry, neither Lu Ya nor I have this idea. We can't do anything about the girls. Please come back."

"No, who do you think you are? You are lucky that my girl likes you!"

"Two guys are so good-looking, and they still have girls' hairstyles, bah!"

"Don't toast me and you'll be fined if you don't eat!"

“Smash your store!”…

In the evening, when the girls from the town came back, they specially formed a group to pass by Hua Ling's villa, but suddenly they found several unconscious men and the mayor under some trees next to the villa.

After confirmation, the girls discovered that the men were the fathers of several girls in the team. When they were surprised, Hua Ling walked out.

A girl was surprised and asked Hua Ling what happened. Hua Ling told the girls the truth and said: "Thank you for your love, but violence is not advisable."

Hua Ling leaned over and pinched the men lying on the ground awake. The men opened their eyes in a daze and saw their girl, looking around at a loss.

Several girls bought magazines, drinks and snacks at the newsstand, and said to Hua Ling and Lu Ya that they were sorry and that they would talk to Hua Ling and Lu Ya about their fathers when they got home.

After the crowd dispersed and everyone went back to their homes, Lu Ya and Hua Ling sat on the horse in front of the door to enjoy the cool air. Lu Ya leaned against the doorpost with his back, and Hua Ling leaned against Lu Ya.

Lu Ya held a cattail leaf fan in his hand to fan Hua Ling: "Why don't you cut your hair shorter?"

Hua Ling leaned against Lu Ya and looked up at the sky, stroking the hair on her chest with her hands: "How short do you think is appropriate? You've already shaved off an inch of your hair."

"You don't have to choose a hairstyle for your face, why don't you just choose the one you like the most?"

"Hmm... I'll think about it again."

The summer breeze blew on their faces, causing Hua Ling's hair to move slightly, and the moonlight shone on Hua Ling's face.

"Hua Ling..." The two were quiet for a long time before Lu Ya suddenly spoke.

"Huh?" Hua Ling seemed a little drowsy, and when she heard Lu Ya calling, she responded in confusion.

"I am the incarnation of the sun. As long as the sun is still there, I will not die and will be reborn from the ashes. But if the sun is gone, will I still be here?"

After hearing this question, Hua Ling's sleepy head sobered up a lot: "It's not certain, maybe it's still there, but it will become an ordinary...crow? What do you want to do with this question?"

Lu Ya adjusted his sitting position to make Hua Ling more comfortable. He continued to fan Hua Ling: "It just suddenly occurred to me, there's no harm in thinking about it."

Hua Ling yawned, and Lu Ya saw this and asked, "Are you sleepy? Go upstairs and wipe yourself off before going to sleep."

"It's only eight o'clock, wait a little longer."

"What are you waiting for? Your eyelids are fighting."

Lu Ya put down the cattail leaf fan, picked up Hua Ling, and placed Hua Ling on the lounge chair inside the house. Then he put the things outside the house into the house and lowered the rolling shutter door.

Then he carried Hua Ling upstairs to get ready for bed.

When the girls passed by again the next day, they found that Hua Ling's hair had become shorter. The length that originally reached her chest only reached her chin, making her look a bit old-fashioned.

"Are you old? I quite like it." Hua Ling said with a smile, rubbing her temples.

"It's so old-fashioned, and look at this messy technique... Who did Ah Ling get his hair cut by?" The girls ate popsicles bought from the newsstand and looked at Hua Ling's new hairstyle.

Little did he know that when the girls said something bad about the hairdresser, Lu Ya's lips tightened and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but rise.

"Who can cut it?" Hua Ling deliberately protracted her voice to lead the girls to look at Lu Ya, who was using a magazine to cover up his face that couldn't help laughing, "It's Lu Ya."

The girls immediately looked at Lu Ya in surprise. After Lu Ya put down the magazine, he couldn't control the corners of his mouth.

The girls laughed happily and talked nonsense with Hua Lingluya, feeling particularly happy.

Three or four years later, the girls who used to come here often went their separate ways due to their studies. Although Hua Ling's shop was often visited by people, not too many people visited it, until one day.

"Going to another place for a while? How long?"

The middle-aged man who often came to Hua Ling's shop to buy magazines and medicine saw Hua Ling and Lu Ya carrying their luggage to the car. After asking, they learned that Hua Ling was going to another province.

"Seven or eight years ago, I'm so sorry." Hua Ling exchanged greetings with the middle-aged man sheepishly, then turned around and reminded Lu Ya: "Lu Ya, don't forget to turn off the gas switch and so on."

Lu Ya nodded after carrying the box into the car, returned to the villa and went upstairs to check.

"Why are you leaving so suddenly? Is there something going on at home?"

Everyone in the town had heard Hua Ling say that his hometown was not here, but no one knew where Hua Ling came from.

Some people speculate that Hua Ling once lived in a seaside city, others speculate that Hua Ling is not a pure Chinese but is of mixed race, and others speculate that Hua Ling is the illegitimate son of a rich man because he bought an entire villa building with the full payment...

Hua Ling saw Lu Ya pulling out the last thing and then closing and locking the rolling shutter door.

Hua Ling turned around and said to the middle-aged man: "Well, goodbye, you may not even recognize me when I come back."

The middle-aged man laughed and said: "I will be old by then. See you young people -"

Hua Ling got into the driver's seat, pulled down the window and said goodbye to the middle-aged man. Lu Ya also sat in the passenger seat and waved.

After the car window was closed, the middle-aged man took a few steps back to give way to Hua Ling's car. The car's engine rumbled when it started. The middle-aged man just watched Hua Ling drive the car onto the road and out of his sight.

"Young man, it's good to just leave when you want. Go out and see more. I'm envious, but my body can't stand the torment. I didn't have this opportunity when I was young..." The middle-aged man stood with his hands on his hips.

I looked around and sighed in front of Hua Ling's closed shop.

There are couplets affixed to the doorposts on both sides of Hua Ling. Looking into the villa from the outside, there are also Zhengfu affixed to the windows, which is very lifelike.
