Chapter 47 The feast begins

The warlocks who received the invitation letter were ready early.

Just waiting for the assembly call to be issued today, they came one after another.

Of course, the high-level magicians in the major towers didn't bother to stand in the square early and were watched as if they were spirit beasts, so they all hid in the darkness.

The assembly square has naturally become a place for communication among magician apprentices.

[Tower of the Sun] Leader Rael crossed his chest and looked around:

"Are they all newcomers? Aren't they some common faces in the tower? Herman, Hastings, Surrey, Guvas...haven't come yet? Interesting, too! They are already weak and pitiful, so they should be

Stay in the dark like a mouse."

Rael's voice was very unique. Even though he didn't sound loud, the apprentices with keen senses in the square could hear it.

Although Mentor Guzman did not give Helo the so-called list, Byrne mentioned these names to him along the way.

They are some of the more famous people among the various tower apprentices.

This is not a false reputation that I have blown out.

But those who emerge from every evaluation and assessment must have a complete and powerful soul technique structure. They have truly gone through thousands of trials and tests, and it is inevitable to break through the level of magicians.

The lives of other apprentices are laid beneath their feet.

If they come from the same high tower, on this occasion, they will usually stick together subconsciously.

Just like [Tower of the Sun] is like now, with Rael as the core, a small team of eight people has been formed. Maybe they are already a team or have worked together before.

They seemed to get along quite harmoniously.

After all, there is still a melee in the mine. If someone knows someone who can take care of the situation, the chance of survival will be greater, and the efficiency of the resources obtained will be more than that of a single person.

But looking at the other towers, there are only five people at most, and they are more scattered.

Even Hero hasn't seen the apprentice robe of [Moon Tower] yet.

"It's a bit not good. Maybe those people didn't form a group at the first time because they weren't familiar with each other, but why didn't anyone from [Moon Tower] see anyone?"

Holo and Byrne took two steps back and hid in the dark to observe.

"Well, it looks like there are only two of us, but the number of apprentices in those two companies is also very small."

"[Tower of Momo], [Tower of Disaster]? Those two companies don't have many apprentices every year, not to mention that their major in soul arts is one-to-many."

The sky was getting dark, and there were more and more people in the square. Hero more or less saw the shadow of an apprentice robe of the same style as his.

But they don't seem to be recognized by me.

The only assembly flag in the square was the light source, shining brightly.

It illuminates an area in the middle, and the farther out, the darker it becomes.

Although the square is big enough, it can only be used to integrate the magicians, and the soul beasts cannot be released.

As the number of magicians increased, Rael, who was originally eye-catching, no longer stood out.

Just like Hero, standing at the edge of the square, there were three or five magicians with powerful auras spreading around them.

One of them paid close attention to him.

The plump figure filled the magician's robe, and his whole body was filled with a metallic smell.

When sensing the breath, Holo felt like he was coming into contact with a huge mass of energy that was constantly compressing and full of danger of explosion.

"Is it from [War Tower]..."

Byrne, who was focusing on opening the door in front, noticed that Holo was speaking, but he didn't hear clearly:

"Ah, what are you muttering about?"

"It's okay, I just sensed a familiar scent."

To a certain extent, that magician is really similar to [Whirlpool].

The obvious sense of oppression does not come from the body or soul.

But it's very obvious.

There is also a magician who is closer to Hero, but is particularly conspicuous.

There were large swarms of insects hovering around him, each one as big as Hero's middle finger. Hundreds and thousands of them fluttered and circled together, surrounding the magician in the middle, creating a blank area.

People nearby didn't dare to get close, for fear of being stared at by those insects and being chewed into bones in an instant.

After the magician's soul comes into contact with various systems, his personality will change to a greater or lesser extent.

It's hard to guarantee that there won't be some conflicts with each other.

Especially for magicians who are very confident in themselves, of course the weak have no choice but to be forced to endure the conflict.

When faced with someone who is obviously strong, most people will not come forward to cause trouble.

Woooooooo~

A loud horn sounded from the front.

The thousands of magicians and apprentices present stopped communicating and making noise, and then fell silent and waited.

Immediately afterwards, a blue halo began to spread outward from the flag of the assembly call.

The aperture momentarily passed over Hero's feet, but he didn't feel anything.

"Array? Isn't the entrance to [Kanya Mine] here?"

"Of course, the mine is contracted by the Chamber of Commerce, so the entrance must be hidden. There are quite a few chambers of commerce that are eyeing the profitable resources."

It was obviously Holo who asked Byrne, but someone else answered.

When Holo turned his head, a grim skull was hidden under the hood.

In his surprised eyes, he actually spoke human words.

"If you have such a small amount of soul power to gather for a feast, isn't your mentor afraid of burying you in the mine?"

It was obviously a bone, but Hero could still detect it.

Is he laughing?

"Are you the magician of [Moon Tower]?"

Holo looked at it vaguely, whether it was from the appearance or the soul energy fluctuations displayed.

They are all like the characteristics of [Moon Tower].

Seeing that Holo didn't mention his mentor's name, Skull didn't care either.

The skeletal hands deep under the magician's robe gently caressed the backs of Byrne and Hero, and promised softly:

"Of course, if I didn't see that you are in the same tower, why would you come to greet me? Among the magicians participating in the feast this time, [Moon Tower] has a very small share. Since I met you, I would like to help you.

"

The blue soul fire in the skull's eyes jumped.

"So what does it cost us?"

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! Helo did not burst into tears like when he met his fellow countrymen.

Instead, he asked calmly.

This question actually made the skull smile dumbly:

"It's a very good education. It seems that your mentor is a great magician. If you hand over 30% of the resources obtained, I will protect you."

There was a sense of matter-of-factness in the skull's voice.

This is confidence in one's own strength.

Holo pulled off his hood, and the soul circuit flashed through his right eye.

"I accept, thank you for your blessing."

When the skull heard Hero's promise, the soul fire in his eyes jumped even more joyfully, and he asked Byrne:

"how about you?"

Even without eyeballs, Byrne could still feel the threatening aura.

But when Byrne looked at Hero, he didn't notice any small movements on his part.

I can't help but wonder in my heart, could it be that Hero has really compromised?

So decisive?

"I...."

But just when Byrne hesitated.

Hero beside him spoke.

"Bear, with Master Magician able to protect us, even if we give up 30% of the resources, we will still get more resources than we can get by ourselves."

Byrne thought to himself.

‘Didn’t we already make a plan before for them to go it alone? Even if they refuse, the skull can’t coerce them?’

Although he still had doubts in his heart, Byrne agreed.

"very good."

The skull flicked its hand, and a parchment contract appeared in front of the two of them.

"According to the principle of fairness, a contract needs to be signed. I am not robbing!"

As he spoke, the teeth in the skull were chattering, obviously looking happy.

Hero signed Piccolo's name without even looking at it.

When Byrne saw Hero being so decisive, for some reason, the uneasiness in his heart dissipated a little.

As a result, after reading the contract and seeing that there were no problems, I signed my name.

Just no one saw it.

The moment the skull takes back the contract.

The names that had been signed on the parchment suddenly disappeared.
