Chapter 7 Scapegoat

On the grass outside the inpatient department of the mental hospital, a woman was lying on the grass wearing a hospital gown, wailing incessantly.

Both legs were broken, with only the flesh still connected, and the grass was stained red by the blood protruding from the woman's mouth.

Seeing this scene, many people knew that this woman might not survive.

It takes time for the ambulance to get here, and there are bumps on the road, especially if you are vomiting blood in your mouth, which means that your internal organs are damaged and the chance of resuscitation is very small.

"What are you doing? You can't even look after a patient!" Director Lian pointed at the nurses around him with a look of anger on his face.

This patient is a patient in his department. If something happens, he cannot escape the responsibility.

"Where's Chen Fan, Chen Fan!" Director Lian turned around and looked around, his eyes falling on Chen Fan.

"As a surgeon, what are you doing standing there, come here and save people!"

For a moment, everyone looked at Chen Fan.

Everyone knew that Lian Wenxin was looking for a scapegoat. Chen Fan was just an intern doctor. How could he possibly be able to see such a serious disease?

If the patient dies, the main responsibility will fall entirely on Chen Fan.

Qin Shuran frowned slightly. How could she not understand such a thing? She originally wanted to remind Chen Fan, but when she looked at Chen Fan beside her, she found that Chen Fan had already come to the patient's side and was lowering his head to examine the patient.

"Can this kid do it? People are like this, can they still be saved?"

"Don't you see? Director Lian is looking for a scapegoat. Anyway, he is an intern, so he will be fired at the worst possible outcome."

"So that's it. That kid is really unlucky. He hasn't even passed his internship period yet and he encountered something like this."

"Oh, who allowed him to usurp the position of Director Lian's nephew? If he leaves, Director Lian's nephew can come to work in the hospital."

The nurses in other wards around him were whispering to each other and casting pitiful looks at Chen Fan.

Chen Fan held his breath and looked at the wailing woman on the lawn again.

It was found that the woman's kidneys and liver were severely ruptured, as well as the fourth section of the spine and both leg bones were severely fractured.

Chen Fan looked at the woman's head again and found that the woman's head also had cerebral hemorrhage, and the situation was very critical. If surgery was not performed immediately, she would definitely die.

"Chen Fan, you loser, what are you looking at there? Hurry up and treat the patient's wound!" Lian Wenxin pointed at Chen Fan and urged.

"She must be operated on immediately. She now has severe cerebral hemorrhage, and her kidneys and liver are also severely ruptured." Chen Fan responded.

"Of course I know we need to operate immediately, but we don't have the conditions here at all. Stop the patient's bleeding quickly. This is what you should do." Lian Wenxin was more anxious than anyone else now, wanting Chen Fan to take action immediately.

"Who has the silver needle?" Chen Fan ignored Lian Wenxin and asked the doctors around him.

"Why do you need silver needles at this time? Chen Fan, if you don't know how to treat someone, get out of here right away! Don't say you are a doctor from now on." Lian Wenxin shouted angrily.

"I have silver needles!" Qin Shuran ran over quickly and took out a small box of silver needles from the pocket of her white coat.

Chen Fan reached out and took the silver needle, glanced at the patient, then found several locations and inserted the silver needle into the patient's body.

Seeing Chen Fan finally take action, the corners of Lian Wenxin's mouth suddenly curled up.

"The bleeding has stopped, she stopped vomiting blood!" A nurse standing nearby pointed at the patient and shouted.

For a moment, everyone turned their attention to the patient.

It was found that the patient's bleeding had really stopped, he no longer vomited blood in his mouth, and his breathing seemed to be more stable.

Qin Shuran looked a little stunned when she saw this scene.

After being together for half a year, she still didn't know that Chen Fan could also practice traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture.

"What's the use of stopping the bleeding? With such a serious injury, she will definitely die." Lian Wenxin muttered in a low voice, with disdain on his face.

"The operation must be performed immediately, otherwise she will definitely die. Can the sterile room in the hospital still be used?" Chen Fan looked at Qin Shuran and asked.

"Yes, but it may not meet the conditions for craniotomy." Qin Shuran responded.

"Get the stretcher, remember not to touch the silver needle on the patient. I'll go to the sterile room to make preparations." Chen Fan ordered, got up and ran towards the sterile room of the inpatient building.

Mental hospitals also have their own examination rooms, and these examination rooms are all sterile.

Although the conditions for craniotomy are not met, there is currently no alternative.

"Chen Fan." Just when Chen Fan was about to enter the sterile room, Qin Shuran suddenly chased him.

"What's wrong?"

"Are you confident to perform such a difficult operation? This is a third-level operation. According to regulations, the chief physician must perform the operation himself. If anything happens, you will be responsible for medical malpractice."

"If I don't do anything, why don't I bear the same responsibility? Don't worry, I'm sure." Chen Fan smiled calmly and walked into the sterile room.

At this time, the nurse carried the stretcher and carefully carried the patient into the temporary operating room.

"I'll go in and help Chen Fan." At this moment, Qin Shuran made a decision.

"Dr. Qin, what are you talking about? You are a psychiatrist, that is what surgeons do, and you have to know that if something goes wrong, you, an intern, cannot bear the responsibility!" Lian Wenxin stopped him.

.

"At least I'm also a doctor." Qin Shuran glanced at Lian Wenxin, turned and walked into the operating room.

"You!" Lian Wenxin suddenly blushed. This was obviously aimed at himself, saying that he was not worthy of being a doctor.

"Hmph, whatever, just wait to be expelled. Even if your father is him, you have to take off this white coat!"

At this moment, two Audi cars stopped at the door of the hospital building.

Two middle-aged men walked out of the car respectively.

"Dean Luo, what happened in your mental hospital?" One of the middle-aged men asked, looking at the panicked hospital.

The person called Dean Luo is Luo Yongtang, the director of this mental hospital.

Luo Yongtang frowned slightly and grabbed a nurse to ask about the situation.

When he heard that someone in the hospital had jumped from the building and was currently undergoing surgery in the sterile room, he quickly walked towards the sterile room of the hospital.

"Dean Luo is here!"

Seeing Dean Luo's figure, many doctors at the door of the sterile room quickly moved out of the way.

"Director Lian, what's going on?" Luo Yongtang asked coldly.

"Dean Luo, it's like this. A patient with depression jumped off a building today and was seriously injured. He is currently undergoing a craniotomy in the sterile room." Lian Wenxin explained quickly.

"What? Accepting a craniotomy? Isn't this nonsense! Don't you know the conditions of our hospital and that we can't do this kind of third-level surgery?" Dean Luo asked.

"I know, I tried to persuade him, but the intern didn't listen and said that if he didn't perform the operation, the patient would definitely die."

"I'm a psychiatrist, and I don't know much about their surgery, so I can't stop it." Lian Wenxin hurriedly explained, passing all the responsibilities onto Chen Fan.
