Chapter 24 Conquer

By the time Old Sean and Ya'an returned to the station, it was almost midnight.

And when Old Sean walked into the dungeon, the usual laughter on his face was completely gone, replaced by an extremely solemn look.

As for Ya'an, he was like a corpse without a soul, his face was dull, his eyes were blank, and only a few traces of blood on his face still showed that he was a living person.

Seeing the appearance of the two people when they came in, Lawrence sighed, knowing that what he guessed had happened.

"Master Bonaparte, the girl has been found, but..." Old Sean pursed his lips, glanced sympathetically at Ya'an next to him, and then said:

"already dead."

Lawrence nodded to express his understanding, and basically confirmed that this was Silla's handiwork.

Whether it was through coercion or inducement, Silla used the girl to invite Ya'an to a pub to get her drunk, took the opportunity to steal the keys, and finally killed her and silenced her.

"Do you know how he died?" Lawrence asked, also wanting to see how cruel Silla's methods were.

"well..."

Old Sean sighed. He had often heard Ya'an mention the girl. He thought the two of them would get married and be in love for a lifetime, but he didn't expect such an accident to happen suddenly, so he said seriously:

"We asked her parents and they said she suddenly had unbearable abdominal pain in the afternoon. A man who claimed to be a doctor came forward to help and said that surgery was needed immediately, but the operation failed..."

The abdominal pain is unbearable and you need surgery? Lawrence thought for a moment and knew that the poor girl was probably poisoned. In order not to reveal that the girl was poisoned, Siro specially arranged for a killer disguised as a doctor to create a murder.

Justifiable medical malpractice.

"It's such a seamless and smooth conspiracy..." Lawrence bit his lip, feeling more and more that this Silla was a bit tricky.

Without knowing the existence of such a conspirator, Lawrence would not even connect One Eye's escape from prison with the girl's death.

As for tracking down the murderous doctor, I'm afraid I won't be able to find out even the slightest clue. Lawrence wisely gave up and first dealt with the current issue of One-Eye's escape from prison.

Ya'an's eyes welled up with tears, and he choked and said:

"She still smiled happily at me at noon... It's all my fault. I gave her too much wine, which made her stomach..."

"Boy, don't be stupid." Lawrence said straight to the point without expression. Compared to comforting others, Lawrence was more accustomed to throwing the truth directly to them:

"Can drinking the fruit wine mixed with water in the pub put someone on the operating table?"

Ya'an was stunned for a moment, a few tears fell down his cheeks, and he asked blankly: "What do you mean, sir?"

"She specifically asked you to drink in the morning and got you drunk. Your key happened to be lost. It happened to be the one in One Eye's cell. One Eye happened to get the key. The girl also happened to have abdominal pain and died.

During an operation that no one could blame, the doctor also happened to disappear."

Lawrence looked into Yaan's eyes and said mercilessly. Then he closed his eyes and added:

"It's like gears that fit together perfectly."

"You mean...someone is controlling?!" Fortunately, Ya'an did not lose his mind, and after a little thought, he understood what Lawrence meant.

Lawrence nodded his head twice, closed his eyes, sighed, and said sadly:

"The poor girl suffered such pain after being poisoned, and the doctor who came was also a killer. She lay trustingly on the operating table and let the other party disembowel her, but the killer inserted a sharp knife into her

On the heart.”

After hearing this, Old Sean couldn't help but wipe away his tears and patted Ya'an on the shoulder sympathetically.

"Who... who is it! I killed him!"

Ya'an clenched his fist and smashed it on the iron door next to him, causing a huge banging sound that echoed in the dungeon.

His tears had stopped, but his whole body, even the roots of his teeth, were trembling with anger, and his low roar sounded like a hungry wolf baring its teeth.

"Ciro Russell, the name of the mastermind behind the scenes." Lawrence said in a deep voice: "You can't kill him alone."

Ciro Russell Yaan once heard this name mentioned by the seniors in the team, but he didn't talk about it much, and everyone who talked about it looked on tenterhooks, as if they were commenting on the devil.

But Ya'an didn't care. The girl's smile was still in front of him at noon, and they even made an appointment to meet her next week. However, when Ya'an saw her again, he only saw a body covered with white cloth.

"No matter who it is, I want him to die." Ya'an's voice was a little hoarse. I wonder if he was crying too much on the road.

"You can't kill him." Lawrence shook his head slowly and said softly:

"But maybe I can."

Ya'an looked into Lawrence's eyes, took a deep breath, and then exhaled slowly. The meaning of Lawrence's words was already obvious.

"As long as I can avenge her, I am willing to give up everything and follow you, even if it makes me fall into hell."

Ya'an raised his head, with no confusion in his clear eyes. Only a few tears on his face still commemorated his cowardly and immature past.

Without hesitation, he put his right hand in front of his heart and read the oath to Lawrence word for word.

An Avenger who makes all his enemies fearful has been born. Although he is still fragile, Lawrence believes that he has unlimited potential.

Lawrence nodded solemnly, accepted Ya'an's oath, and said:

"I make a covenant with you. If I can execute Siro with my own hands, I will let you do it. If I can get Siro's body, I will let you burn it."

Ya'an said nothing, but nodded firmly.

"Okay, kid, go have a good sleep and forget all this for a while. Ciro Russell is not someone who can be solved by just rushing into his house and shooting."

Lawrence said, indicating that Ya'an can leave.

Looking at Ya'an's leaving figure, Old Sean sighed and said:

"He was indeed a good boy, but I don't know if this path is suitable for him."

"This is the path he chose. I need his loyalty, he needs my power, we each get what we need."

Having said that, Lawrence remembered that he had not told Old Sean about the expansion of the patrol team, so he briefly informed him of the afternoon council's decision.

At first, like the uninformed congressmen, Old Sean thought this was a great good thing for the patrol. After Lawrence explained it, he discovered the trap.

"Lord Bonaparte, there are indeed many hidden dangers in this. There will probably be endless infighting between the old and new team members."

Old Sean said with a worried face that he had been in the patrol team for more than ten years and saw that the place was prospering because of Lawrence's arrival, but he did not want to go back to the days when he was looked down upon by others.

"I also know these." Lawrence nodded and admitted. He had basically summarized these risks in the parliament and added:

"What matters now are two things. One is to capture One Eye as soon as possible, and the other is to find a way to recruit new patrols in Xicheng District."

Old Sean thought about it and found that these two things were not easy to do.

One Eye will definitely stay dormant for a long time after escaping from the dungeon, and it will be difficult to find his location. Even if One Eye is cautious enough, he will live directly at Silla's place.

As for recruiting new soldiers in Xicheng District, in the words of Old Sean, tying fifty dogs to the team is more useful than the poor people recruited there.

Although Lawrence knew that there must be useful talents among these poor people, he had to admit that this was indeed a difficult task.

"No matter what, I have to go to Xicheng District tomorrow. Just like last time, bring twenty people, fully armed, with me."

Lawrence ordered to old Sean, and then couldn't help but yawn, it was indeed very late.
