Chapter 344: Stay up late at night and read the traces in the sea of history
It's late at night, and I don't know whether it's because the voltage is unstable or there's something wrong with the quality of the light bulb, but the lights in the room are flickering.
Unknowingly, I watched from about eleven o'clock to three o'clock in the middle of the night.
The more I looked, the more frightened I became.
I don’t know who wrote this handwritten book that Xu Tongshan gave me. I learned many secrets that I didn’t know before, and at the same time, I also sorted out a historical line in my mind.
Manichaeism has indeed never been discontinued, it has just been given different names throughout history.
Eating vegetables can cause demons, Yihuo, Four Fruits, Jiedi Zhai, Mingjiao, Lingyuan Sect, Liyuan Sect, Anglican Communion, Wisdom Sect, etc.
In addition to the Wisdom Sect, the most recent one is the Anglican Church taught by Xu Tongshan, located in Wenling, Taizhou.
What's interesting is that the Anglican Church also ran a private school in Fuzhou back then called "Lingguang School for Blind Children."
The word "Aura" implies "Aura Buddha" in ancient literature. Only Manichaeism has the title of Aura Buddha.
Interpret it according to the meaning of this handwritten book.
After the destruction of Buddhism in the Tang Dynasty, the Song Dynasty, the Yuan Dynasty, and the Ming Dynasty, Manichaeism was prohibited from spreading, so it could only survive among the people, absorbing a large number of things from other sects to disguise itself. In modern terms, it means wearing many vests.
.
In other words, it is no longer Manichaeism, but a belief, which I call "Manicheism".
The Manichae faith and its sacrificial methods that have been hidden among the people are extremely hidden. The teachings are mixed with Buddhism, Taoism and various local beliefs, and are often mixed in the folk Taoist altar.
Taoist Buddha body.
Use the skin of Buddha's way to wrap up Mani's spirit.
He was clearly a Buddha, but he knew Taoist magic. One of the representative figures was Lin Gao, the historical leader of Manichaeism in Xiapu. Today, in the main hall of Fushou Palace in Fujian, there is still a couplet from hundreds of years ago.
"Worship the sun in the morning and the righteousness of the universe, worship the moon in the evening and the splendor of heaven and earth."
It means worshiping the sun during the day and worshiping the moon at night.
Coincidentally, Manichaeism most worships the sun and moon.
It is clearly recorded on the Mani stone carvings in Dunhuang: "Mani's light Buddha, the two yaos descended upon the spirit, divided the light into three sects, and recognized the sun and the moon in the cave." Among them, the two yaos specifically refer to the sun and the moon.
I used to wonder why Manichaeism was said in the history of the Song Dynasty to be "eating vegetables and causing demons". This name is not only unpleasant, but also feels low. On the contrary, calling Manichaeism sounds very awesome.
After some research, I understood that this was done intentionally by the Song Dynasty. The so-called "vegetarian demon" should be a contemptuous term.
Because at that time, after the introduction of Mani, it was strictly prohibited to eat meat. If you don't eat meat, you can only eat vegetables. And because "Mo" is a homophone for "Devil", it was changed to "Eat Vegetables Shi Mo", which basically means a group of monks who eat vegetables.
Don't do good things.
At the beginning, primitive Manichaeism advocated vegetarianism, observing the Ten Precepts, not killing, not lying, helping each other, and believing in the light.
After Fangla's defeat, he began to hide among the people and gradually became more martial. He valued hard-hitting magic and absorbed folk heresy in order to strengthen his own strength. This situation became more obvious in the Ming Dynasty.
The Mingjiao of the Ming Dynasty advocated that life is suffering, and killing people is to save them from suffering. It is said to save people, and those who save many people can become Buddhas.
This view that death is liberation is completely different from the original teachings.
I remember in the TV series The Legend of Heaven and Dragon Slaying, six sects besieged Guangmingding. A group of Mingjiao people sat cross-legged on the ground and chanted: "Bearing holy fire! Burn my body! How joyful is life! How miserable is death! Do good and eliminate evil!"
For the sake of light! Joy and sorrow! All return to the dust! Have mercy on me, the world! There are so many sorrows! Have mercy on me, the world! There are so many sorrows!"
This passage really perfectly shows the doctrinal changes after Manichaeism evolved into Mingjiao. Mr. Jin Yong must have written this passage after studying it.
Under the flickering light, I felt inexplicably nervous and continued to read back.
The person who wrote this material not only included a lot of fragments of ancient documents that I had never heard of, but also made notes of his own understanding in a smaller font on the side. For example, the references include "Qingxi Kougui" and "Xianchun Lin'an Chronicle"
", "Annals of the Emperor and Song Dynasty", etc. These are not official histories, but they are relatively close to Fang La's time. The only relevant information I have been checking are official histories and county annals.
Soon, a piece of literature came into my eyes.
This is a passage from the fifth volume of the Weinan Collected Works written by Lu You, a poet of the Southern Song Dynasty, during the Shaoxing period.
I muttered silently: "At that time, there were many phantom people with many names. Huainan called them Erzizi, Zhejiang and Zhejiang called them Muni, Jiangdong called them Four Fruits, Jiangxi called them Vajra Zen, and Fujian called them Jie Di Zhai.
, the names are different, most of them are scholars and officials.
, the soldiers also passed down the practice. Its god is called the Light Messenger, and it also has names such as Flesh Buddha, Bone Buddha, and Blood Buddha. There are two types of red trees in white clothes, black hats, and red clothes. The place is established as a society, engraving and distributing, and making apocryphal scriptures.
Like, all of them gather together at moonrise and disperse at dawn."
The Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty was very close to the Xuanhe period of the Northern Song Dynasty. If this passage is recorded in the original text, the credibility is very high. It undoubtedly describes Manichaeism at that time.
"There are also names such as Flesh Buddha, Bone Buddha, and Blood Buddha."
This instantly reminded me of silver bottles and silver boxes, one containing bones and the other containing meat.
This is no coincidence....
I can't do a DNF appraisal, but according to Xiguatou's statement! The eyebrow bone in the silver bottle is from Fang Wa! Then I reasoned that the "waxed meat-like object" in the silver box should also belong to this owner!
Lu You deliberately wrote this sentence in his collection during the Southern Song Dynasty. It was definitely not written blindly! This is more credible than Song history, and Fang La had already been executed at that time.
Now it has bones and flesh, but it still lacks blood.
If there is blood, it is a bone Buddha, a flesh Buddha, and a blood Buddha!
Who was the man who made silver bottles and silver boxes back then? What did this man want to do?
Could it be that... it's to bring people back to life in some way? To revive the dead?
Or... are they simply based on the legends of Blood Buddha, Bone Buddha, and Flesh Buddha in Manichaeism, and are similar to the relics of Central Plains Buddhism created for worship?
My mind was getting more and more confused, and I was also a little scared.
I quickly closed the book, opened the door and ran out.
"Botou! Boss! Something bad has happened! Fang La is going to be resurrected!"
I shouted and rushed into the chief's room.
He was sleeping soundly with his head covered by the quilt, but he was instantly awakened by me.
"Head! Fang La wants to be resurrected!"
He turned on the light, looked at me doubtfully for a few seconds, and said, "Yunfeng, are you sleepwalking? Go back to sleep."
"I didn't sleep a wink all night! I was dreaming about something! It's really a clue! I deduced it based on historical records and related legends!"
"Ouch! Put your head up and get up!"
I was anxious, so I stepped forward and lifted up the quilt.
Unexpectedly, my head was covered with pants.
He quickly covered himself with the quilt again.
The leader said: "Don't shout so loudly. Do you think everyone is like you? Yunfeng only sleeps two or three hours a day. It's only four o'clock now. Douyazi, Xiaoxuan and the others haven't had a good rest in the past two days. Let them sleep more."
In a while."
While talking, he curled up under the quilt and put on his pants.
Then, I put on my clothes and came to my room. I pointed to the lamp on my head and whispered: "Tou, when I was just reading the information, the light kept flashing, flickering on and off. It felt like there was some kind of vision.
It’s like the missing thing is warning me.”
He raised his head and looked up, and said to me: "Suspicious, this light bulb had a problem half a month ago."
