Chapter 24 Mount Emei

The monstrous floods receded, and Jinguan City in the early morning no longer had the bustle and bustle of the past, but only endless sadness and crying.

Shangguan Yun woke up slowly and looked at the devastated Jinguan City, his heart filled with sadness. His old face was already covered with tears. He knelt on the city wall with a plop and muttered to himself in despair:

"Jinguan City is over, completely over. How should I explain to the people in this city?"

Looking at Shangguan Yun who was blaming himself, Xiaobai couldn't bear it and comforted him:

"Master Shangguan City, don't feel sad that things have reached this point. Now that the monster has escaped, the biggest crisis in Jinguan City has finally been overcome."

"It's just that the city is full of devastation now, and the Lord of Shangguan City still needs to be in charge."

Xiaobai paused and continued.

"Now, my little Dao Lord has been seriously injured and needs to be healed as soon as possible. Then we will go to Mount Emei with Master Kongchan. This Jinguan City will be handed over to the Lord of Shangguan City to take good care of it."

Monk Kongchan on the side also said at the right time:

"Amitabha, Shangguan City Lord, please show me your condolences. Now that the evildoer has escaped, the rest of the affairs in this city need to be taken care of by the City Lord."

As the young monk Kongchan spoke, he took off a string of sandalwood beads in his hand, handed them to Shangguan Yun, and said:

"Shangguan City Master, this rosary is a personal belonging of the young monk. The City Master can carry it with him. It can relieve mental fatigue and resist inner demons. It may have some effect on the City Master."

Shangguan Yun looked at the rosary handed over by Monk Kongchan, hesitated for a moment, then took it and said gratefully:

"Shangguanyun, thank you so much, Master Kongchan."

After saying that, Shangguan Yun turned to look at Xiao Bai and the unconscious Xie Heng. He bowed and said:

"On behalf of all the people in the city, I would like to thank Immortal Xiaobai and Immortal Master Kunlun for their life-saving grace."

"I will definitely tell everyone what Immortal Master Kunlun has done for Jinguan City. Jinguan City will remember Kunlun's great kindness from generation to generation."

After saying that, Shangguan Yun kowtowed three times.

When Xiaobai saw Shangguan Yun performing such a great gift, he flapped his wings and a gentle force lifted Shangguan Yun up. He said with a sad voice:

"Shangguan City Lord, there is no need to be polite. If you want to thank me, please thank Master Mingyu from Qingyang Palace. If Master Mingyu hadn't been willing to blow up his magic weapon, and in the end, even surrendered himself, we might not have had the opportunity to chat here."

After Xiaobai said this, he couldn't help but feel sad in his heart, and tears flowed down uncontrollably.

Monk Kongchan on the side closed his eyes when he heard what Xiaobai said, and kept twirling the rosary beads in his hand. He seemed to be seeing off Master Mingyu.

Shangguan Yun also sighed when he heard Xiao Bai say this.

"Don't worry, what Master Mingyu has done for Jinguan City, I will definitely let the people in the city know and remember it for generations to come."

Shangguan Yun bowed deeply to Xiao Bai.

By the time Shangguan Yun got up, the figures of Xiaobai and Monk Kongchan were no longer on the city wall. Only the dilapidated Jinguan City in front of him was left, and the morning breeze blowing through the city wall gave off a slight chill.

Shushan, among the ruins of Ningbi Cliff.

Xiaobai, who has transformed into a child, is constantly looking for something in the ruins.

"Donghua, Qingmu, where are you?"

Xiaobai kept flashing among the collapsed rocks of Ningbi Cliff, calling the two little guys constantly.

"Donghua, Qingmu, where are you? Don't scare me."

Along with him, there was Kong Chan, constantly searching the rocky place, sometimes focusing on his feelings.

Suddenly, Kong Chan seemed to be aware of something. He flashed and came to a corner, sensing it carefully.

After a moment, Kong Chan seemed to realize something. He focused his eyes and flicked his hand. The boulder in front of him was lifted up, revealing two little Taoist boys in the corner.

Donghua and Qingmu were like stacking Arhats at this time. Donghua raised his hands to protect Qingmu under him. The two of them were pressed by a big stone, and Donghua's mouth was dripping with blood.

Seeing this, Kong Chan moved the thousand-jin stone away from Donghua with a wave of his hand, and then used his magic power to bring the two of them to a relatively flat rock.

He looked carefully at the two children in front of him and found that only Qingmu was still breathing weakly. He immediately took out a white pill and gave it to Qingmu. As for Donghua, his heart was completely broken and his soul had long since dissipated.

Between heaven and earth.

After Kong Chan had done all this, he couldn't bear to witness this scene, so he closed his eyes, clasped his hands together, and muttered something.

"Amitabha, sin, sin."

Immediately, he shouted loudly towards Xiaobai who was still searching:

"Fellow Taoist Xiaobai, I found it, here."

Xiaobai's figure flashed and came to Kongchan. He saw two little guys lying on the boulder and limped over. Xiaobai's face was pale and he asked in a trembling voice:

"Little monk Kongchan, are they still alive?"

"Amitabha, fellow Taoist Xiaobai, my condolences and submission, the one who is still alive now is this little baby. My little monk has already given him the healing elixir from Mount Emei."

"Now I can only save my heart temporarily. I need to send him back to Mount Emei as soon as possible and ask Master for treatment. There is really nothing I can do for you, little monk."

Kong Chan also said with a somewhat unbearable expression.

When Xiaobai heard Kongchan's answer, he swayed slightly, then stabilized himself and murmured to himself:

"It's not bad. It's not bad. It can still leave a trace of breath in the innate magical power of ancient strange beasts. It's not bad."

Xiaobai said, his face already covered with crystal tears.

Looking at Donghua, who has long since passed away, and recalling every moment of the three of them playing together over the past six months, Xiaobai felt extremely sad. Only the low sobs echoed above the ruins of Ningbi Cliff.

.

After a long time, Xiaobai finally recovered from his grief and found a suitable place to bury Donghua's body.

Xiaobai stared blankly at the new grave in front of him. After a while, he turned around and said to Monk Kongchan:

"Let's go to Mount Emei."

In the thick clouds over Xishu, a golden light flashed away.

Kong Chan saw that the aura on Xie Heng's body began to become a little vague, and the "swastika" character on his forehead was even more faintly visible. He also frowned slightly. He couldn't help but speed up the speed of the flying boat.

~~

The landscape is beautiful, the mountains are verdant, the springs are flying, and the peaks are covered with clouds. This is the most beautiful praise from the immortal world to the scenic spot of Emei.

Mount Emei is located deep in the vast mountains and sea to the southwest of Dongsheng Shenzhou.

In the depths of this mountain and sea, there is a majestic mountain peak with deep canyons, curtain-like waterfalls, and rolling white clouds. The peaks rise from the ground and reach straight into the sky. The top of the mountain is blocked by thick clouds, making it even more cloudy.

The mountains move and the changes are endless.

At the infinite height of Emei, separated by space, is the Golden-Ding Dongtian Fahua Temple, the monastery of the first Bodhisattva of Buddhism among the three religions.

According to legend, in ancient times, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva rode a white elephant on the top of Mount Emei to preach to all sentient beings. Later, he discovered the Golden Summit Cave at the space boundary on the top of the mountain, and decided to establish a sect in Mount Emei, becoming the only major Buddhist sect in Dongsheng Shenzhou.

.

I saw that inside the cave, there were endless Zen chants everywhere, Buddha lights were shining all over the place, and there were many floating islands of different sizes floating in the void. It was really a Buddhist holy land, an out-of-this-world cave.

Suddenly, a golden ray of light appeared on the top of Emei Mountain.

After finally returning to Mount Emei, the empty cicada standing on the flying boat looked at the void in front of him. He formed a Buddha seal with his hands and patted the void in front of him, causing ripples to ripple out.

Not long after, a space gap that was three people wide and two people high appeared in the space in front of him, allowing Kong Chan and others to enter.

"You have to be careful and follow me. The sect-protecting formation in the Golden Summit Cave of Mount Emei - the Ten Directions Demon-Slaying Formation is within this barrier."

After putting away the flying boat, Kongchan turned back and said to Xiaobai, who had already revealed his true form.

"This formation is always in motion. If you make a mistake, it will trigger the formation's murderous intent, and it will be difficult for the gods to save it."

As soon as he entered the cave, Xiaobai smelled a faint scent of sandalwood. He could vaguely hear the sound of chanting sutras. Listening carefully, it seemed that he could become a Buddha at any time.

"Fellow Daoist Xiaobai, please come with me."

Xiaobai, who was carrying Xie Heng and Qingmu, was led by Kong Chan and flew towards a floating island in the cave sky where the Buddha's light was extremely strong.

In the square of Fuxi Island, a young monk of fourteen or fifteen years old was standing there waiting. Seeing the huge bodies of Kong Chan and Xiao Bai, he quickly shouted:

"Senior Brother Kongchan, here, here."

"Junior Brother Kongyuan, why are you here?"

Kong Chan came to the square and saw that Kong Yuan had been waiting here for a long time, and couldn't help but said in surprise.

"Master learned that you are about to arrive and ordered your junior brother to come to greet the distinguished guests from Kunlun."

As Kong Yuan spoke, he stretched his neck and looked at the white crane that landed behind him.

Xiaobai also landed on the square paved with marble. He raised his head and saw that at the end of the square, a solemn hall stood on countless jade steps.

As far as Xiaobai could see, he saw at a glance a huge "Hall of Wisdom" hanging above the gate of the solemn hall. These four big characters were vigorous and powerful, with a mysterious and mysterious atmosphere, which made Xiaobai unconsciously

Mesmerized.

In an instant, the aura on Xiao Bai's body that had become somewhat mixed due to the battle with Shu Cang was also purified at this moment, leaving only the pure fairy aura.

"Is this the little white crane? It's so big?"

Kong Yuan's exclamation pulled Xiao Bai back from the mysterious artistic conception. Xiao Bai looked at the two people in front of him, a big one and a small one, with shiny bald heads. He couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed, and pretended to be fierce:

"Hey, little monk, who is Little White Crane? I am Little White, not Little White Crane."

Xiaobai's words made Monk Kongyuan speechless. He touched his bare head and smiled.

When Kong Chan saw this, he smiled, and he understood a little about the little white crane's childish nature.

Kongchan then said:

"Fellow Daoist Xiaobai, please come with me, my master, has been waiting here for a long time."
