Chapter 10 City of Fog

Pan Yue floated in an open black space, with many spheres in the distance emitting dazzling light of different colors. In front of him, a huge eye stared at him motionless.

His mind went blank, his breathing, thoughts, and senses all seemed to be at a standstill. Only an invisible force pushed him, making him move away from that terrifying eye at an extremely fast speed.

The eyes became smaller and smaller in his field of vision until they became an almost invisible black dot. Pan Yue's body also resumed operation, and the colorful world replaced the nothingness...

Finally, Pan Yue woke up.

From the day he came to Huguang Village when he was a baby, this strange scene often appeared in his dreams. It was also the only dream he had since he was a child, but he could never recall the memory before Huguang Village.

Pan Yue had long been accustomed to it, and she opened her eyes as if nothing had happened. Everything around her was covered in blood red against the sky - it was dawn.

He yawned and got up from the ground, thinking about the next arrangements and walking leisurely away from Huguang Village. He didn't want people to know that he had mastered black magic yet, no matter whether he came to Huguang Village again or not.

Due to Fang Yang's wishes, it was obviously unreasonable to take only one day to return to the base.

Pan Yue stopped and thought for a while, then clenched his fists amidst the energy fluctuations of black magic. He used teleportation to keep moving forward, and soon found a place with human activities.

This place seems to be a market, with many people sitting on the roadside selling the goods in front of them, most of which are strange-looking animal remains and dilapidated magic weapons.

"Bone! The bone of the hellhound! It can drive away low-level white ghosts!"

"Laser gun energy box! A must-have when going out!"

"A magic weapon found from the bottom of the sea ten years ago!"

Pedestrians on the road all glanced at the objects on the ground expressionlessly, snorting contemptuously from time to time, and those seemingly enthusiastic dealers would quickly put away the fake smiles on their faces when no one was around, and fiddle with tired expressions.

Products that no one cares about.

A young man in the distance caught Pan Yue's attention.

He has dark skin and looks about fifteen or sixteen years old. He wears a pair of gold-rimmed glasses on his tall nose, and his neat and straight dress is in sharp contrast to the other indifferent pedestrians.

He looked courteous, looking at every object in the market with gleaming eyes, and holding a pen and paper in his hand to record something as he walked.

Pan Yue pushed through the crowd and squeezed to the boy's side, and cautiously said: "You...hello?"

The young man was concentrating on writing something when he was frightened by Pan Yue's sudden greeting and took a few steps back. After carefully confirming that the ragged man in front of him had no malicious intent, he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Um...you look like an antique from the last century when you say hello."

Actually, I am, Pan Yue answered silently in her heart.

"What's wrong? What do you want from me?"

"Excuse me, do you know how to get to the base of the Human Resistance Army?"

The young man raised his eyebrows when he heard this and excitedly pulled Pan Yue to a deserted place on the side of the road.

"Want to get some information? Introduce yourself, I am the famous explorer!"

"Um...can I just call you explorer?"

"Of course, besides me, can there be another explorer in the world?"

The young man said with a proud expression on his face.

"...."

"Of course I know how to get to the base, but you have to give me other information in exchange."

"Ah? What news?"

The explorer frowned, showing a hint of displeasure.

"Have you really never heard of my name as an explorer? Forget it, you look like you have never seen the world. I won't argue with you. If you want to know anything from me, you have to get some information.

In exchange, as long as it’s about this world.”

The explorer glanced at Pan Yue's desolate appearance, and estimated that the other person was probably a beggar or a homeless person, and he probably had never seen much of the world, so he added: "The information I know is fine, but what's important is your sincerity."

Pan Yue weighed it up, and it seemed that the only experience he had in this world in the past few days that he could tell the strange young man in front of him was his experience against the alien demon last night.

"Um...I met an alien demon last night, does this count?"

"What? Are you sure?" The explorer looked at Pan Yue again with his eyes widened, "You can actually escape from the alien demon?"

"Well... I killed it before it escaped."

The explorer was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter.

"You brat, your fabrication is too outrageous. A country bumpkin who doesn't even know where the base is still wants to deal with high-level White Walkers?"

"real......"

"Gungun, don't waste my time if you are so insincere."

When Pan Yue saw the explorer turning around and about to leave, Pan Yue reached out and grabbed him, and the dark energy in his body gradually enveloped the two of them.

"Wait a moment!"

"Black magic? What...what are you going to do? I'm warning you that I'm not easy to mess with-"

Before the explorer finished speaking, Pan Yue took him and teleported to the place where he encountered the alien demon yesterday. At this time, the white barrier halo had not completely dissipated, and not far away lay the body of the purple owl.

"Magical weapon...no, divine weapon! You...Purple Feathered Eagle!"

In his shocked eyes, Pan Yue recounted his experience at the foot of the mountain last night.

"You...can you show me your artifact?"

"Sacred weapon? Isn't it called a magic weapon?" Pan Yue was a little confused about this title.

The explorer looked at Pan Yue in confusion and pointed at the barrier aperture.

"Are you pretending to be stupid? An artifact is a magic weapon infused with huge energy. Only an artifact can create such a holy circle."

"oh......"

Aunt Yang, you really left me a big surprise!

Pan Yue thought to herself, took out the iron ruler from her pocket and handed it to the explorer.

"No wonder you can kill alien demons..." The explorer looked at the iron ruler obsessively and murmured to himself, "I have never seen any magical weapon that can contain such a large amount of energy. It

It is definitely one of the best artifacts in the world."

"Um, have you finished reading?" Although Pan Yue didn't care much about the so-called artifact, but in less than a week, the ice cone penetrated the wall of fire and penetrated into Pan Yue's body without any attenuation.

"Uh...it's me..."

Seeing more and more orbs flashing in the figures in the distance, Pan Yue hurriedly endured the severe pain and spoke.

"You brat? I c, stop it!"

While the explorer was speaking, several powerful natural forces passed by him and flew towards Pan Yue.

Thunder and lightning, wind blades, flying sand and rocks...

After suffering this round of attacks, Pan Yue could no longer hold on, vomiting blood and fainting with a groan.
