Chapter 721 The Proud General

 Recently, Kyoto Imperial Palace.

The shogun convened the shogunate reviewers, together with the accompanying members of various families close to the shogunate, to start the winter review.

After the daily affairs of the shogunate were finished, Akechi Mitsuhide was pulled out and reprimanded by Ashikaga Yoshiteru.

"What the hell is going on with Duke Kenshin! He reopened the service office in Kanto without reporting it to the shogunate. It's shocking and lawless!"

Akechi Mitsuhide bowed his head and admitted his mistake. This was the third time since winter that she had been pulled out by Ashikaga Yoshiteru to scold her. Not only was she used to it, but so were the Kyoto samurai families.

At first, everyone thought that the Ashikaga family and the Shiba family were going to fall out, but after watching more, they realized that the general's momentum was great, but the actual significance was very small.

She repeatedly ordered Shiba Yoshigan to return to Kyoto, only asking him to explain the order issued by using the sword in Kanto.

The seemingly vicious Ashikaga Yoshiki is more like a wife begging her husband to return home, fierce on the outside and soft on the inside.

If we really want to be ruthless, taking back the identity of Mitsuhide Akechi and driving her out of Kyoto will be a powerful deterrent.

Mitsuhide Akechi was a diplomatic service member of Yoshigan Saba who stayed in recent Saba territories. Once he was deprived of his shogunate status and expelled by the shogun, he would not be eligible to stay in Kyoto, which would have far-reaching consequences.

But the general increased the scale of his scolding time and time again, dragging Akechi Mitsuhide out to show off, but he just didn't get the job done.

Yoshigan Shiba used the sword edict in Kanto and had the power to kill first and report later, but he would report it to the shogunate for record afterwards.

He used the edict to do five main things.

First, deprive the Shiina family of their duty as guardians of Vietnam and China.

Second, reopen the Kato Palace in Echigo.

Third, establish the Yutai people, a group of Ji warriors.

Fourth, order Uesugi Terutora of Echigo to attack Takeda Harunobu of Shinano.

Fifth, the guardianship of Shinano Province from the Ogasawara family was transferred to Takeda Harunobu.

The general twice denounced Akechi Mitsuhide twice before, accusing Yoshihiro Shiba of abusing his power by depriving the Shiina family of the Etsuchu Guardian Dai and giving Takeda Harunobu the Shinano Kingdom Guardian.

These two things have relatively little impact.

With the decline of the shogunate, the samurai family has long lost its actual jurisdiction over the nearby samurai. Replacement does not replace the guardianship, but only protects the procedural justice in the system.

For local martial arts families, this title was useful and worth donating money in exchange for support from the shogunate. But maintaining local rule mainly depended on who had stronger fists and more horses.

This time, the severity of the scolding for the establishment of the Kanto Palace has risen to another level. This is a signal sent by Ashikaga Yoshiteru.

She was not cursing in the order in which she issued the Imperial Sword Order, but more like an attitude that escalated step by step and increased the threat to the Shiba family.

Ji Samurai, Wu family, and Shi all have the same meaning, but the first name that appeared was Shi.

The prototype of the samurai family was a violent group that looked after the homes and homes of the emperor and his ministers. Their status was not high and they were called attendants.

Before Minamoto Yoritomo, the first shogun, received permission from the emperor to become a general to conquer barbarians, and before the shogunate was established, the administrative organization established in Kamakura was the shrine.

To put it simply, the original shogunate only had a shrine, and other shogunate institutions such as government offices were gradually enriched later.

The Kamakura shogunate was the first shogunate with a simple structure. It mainly relied on the system of the shrine and the imperial family to control the Hime Samurai. The shrine had great power.

Yoshigan Shiba's reopening of the Kanto Palace in Kanto not only embarrassed Kyoto, which had lost most of its power and was reduced to the palace of the security brigade, it was more like an act of provoking the general.

If he hadn't accepted the sword, he would have been regarded as the shogun's husband and the direct descendant of Kawachi Genji. This kind of behavior would be a rebellion.

However, he reopened the Kato Palace with the imperial sword order, and only Ashikaga Yoshiteru could scold him, so the matter turned into a household matter of the Ashikaga family.

The general scolded for a while, and finally asked Mitsuhide Akechi, who looked frightened but had a respectful attitude.

"When will Duke Qianxin come back? Shouldn't he come back and explain to me?"

Akechi Mitsuhide explained with contempt in his heart.

"Shogun-sama, please calm down. The road is blocked by heavy snow in winter, and the Hokuriku Road is not smooth and it is difficult to travel."

Akechi Mitsuhide seemed to be in a panic when he spoke, but in fact, he had a way out.

There was heavy snow in winter, so my master couldn't come back, but I didn't say he was coming back. If he doesn't come back after spring, it's none of my business, so I didn't say anything.

Ashikaga Yoshiki has played this kind of word game with the ministers for many years, and of course he is very clear about it. She glanced at the submissive Akechi Mitsuhide, but she couldn't see through this man's mind.

Call her disloyal, but under her representation, the Shiba family did help Ashikaga Yoshiteru in every possible way, allowing the shogun to rectify the shogunate and integrate the shogunate much more smoothly.

She was said to be loyal to the shogunate, but something seemed wrong. She was good at dancing in Kyoto, and had good relations with various families. She also hooked up with Matsunaga Hide, a member of the Miyoshi family who was active in Yamashiro Country.

This elegant gesture of wise Mitsuhide, no matter whether it is reward or punishment, praise or scolding, he always accepts it with a smile, which is difficult to understand.

Ashikaga Yoshiteru glanced at Mibuchi Haru, Hosokawa Fujitaka, and Hatakeyama Takamasa who were present.

She gradually intensified her scolding of the Shiba family, not for Mitsuhide Akechi, who had no money to eat, but for others to see.

The original local powerful faction of the shogunate was dispersed in recent battles, and the current powerful faction was rebuilt by Yoshigan Shiba.

The Sanyuan family was supported by Shiba Yiyin and occupied 100,000 koku in Beihanei.

The Izumi Hosokawa family was saved by Shiba Yoshigan, and Izumi's territory of more than 100,000 koku was maintained.

Hatakeyama Gaozheng's family fortune collapsed, and he had no choice but to seek refuge with the Bank of Japan. Only then did he get back the tens of thousands of pieces of the Hanoi Kingdom's broken collar.

These three families, together with Kokudawa and Iga's Konjisuba, commanded 200,000 koku, formed a new local powerful faction of the shogunate, with a mobilization force of more than 400,000 koku.

With the collapse of Ise Sadism, Ashikaga Yoshiteru completely grasped the control of the shogunate by controlling Nijo, Sakamoto, Fushimi and other cities.

She can now control the shogunate territories of Yamashiro Kingdom and surrounding countries. With Kyoto's business taxation and business profits, her mobilization force can reach five to six hundred thousand koku.

As long as local powerful factions support Ashikaga Yoshiteru, the Ashikaga family's military strength can return to its million-koku mobilization force. It will be enough to suppress the neighboring countries and put greater pressure on the Miyoshi family and the Rokkaku family.

Before Shiba Yoshigan went to Kanto, he ordered Mitsuhide Akechi to support the general in his work, and she did the same.

But this support is not reliable, and it is far less reliable than Ashikaga Yoshiki himself having the local powerful faction in his hands to give her peace of mind.

She continued to increase her intensity and denounced Mitsuhide Akechi.

On the one hand, it was hoped that Yoshihiro Shiba would return to Kyoto and become acquainted with her, complete the merger of the two Ashibiras, and completely merge the forces within the shogunate.

On the other hand, it is also to test the Mibuchi family, the Izumi-Hosokawa family, and the Kawachi Hatakeyama family to see if they can consistently follow the Shiba family's footsteps.

If we can divide some local powerful factions and let them join the prosperous Ashikaga family, we will be more confident of suppressing Yoshihiro Shiba.

Just as Ashikaga Yoshiteru said when Yoshigan Shiba left Kyoto, when he comes back, the two will play another game.

The proud and arrogant Ashikaga Yoshiteru vowed to become a powerful general and make Yoshigan Shiba willing to marry him.
