Chapter 33

Chapter 33 Everyone gets what he needs

Along the Tula River, there are rows of low houses, and a group of Mongolian men are constantly busy in the north.

Don't look at the small villages and towns, but there are many people in them. Mongolians are selling furs by the houses, and Han caravans are driving camels to pick up goods.

Everything in this trading town is still in its infancy, but the prosperous trade heralds the vibrant vitality here.

In the north of the town, craftsmen are building a two-story building. However, most of the craftsmen busy here are Han people, while the Mongolian men are responsible for transporting wood and bricks.

Tarona was a very ambitious man. After more than ten years, he chose the banks of the Tula River as his holy place.

Years ago, Taranatha wanted to build the first palace here, and the Chang family took over the job.

To the north of the town, at the southern end of Kent Mountain, there is a dense group of yurts, and Taranatha lives in the yurt in the middle.

In the early morning, the golden sunshine shines on the Mongolian plateau, and groups of white sheep move slowly, like patches of white ocean waves. The sound of bartering in the town is endless, and it is a lively scene.

Two handsome-looking teenagers walked quickly through the town, followed by a burly man. At this time, the burly man was bent over and carrying a large stone on his back.

"Can you hurry up? There's a rush at the construction site!"

"You can stand and talk without back pain, but why don't you try carrying hundreds of kilograms of rocks on your back?"

Tie Mo gave him a sharp look and spat out angrily.

Chang Minyue must have done it on purpose, saying that carrying stones on his back was more like a coolie. But along the way, he didn't see anyone else carrying stones to the construction site.

Still wanting to complain, Tie Mo quickly bowed his head and shut up when he saw a few Mongolian soldiers approaching.

There are generally two forces in the town by the Tula River. One force is the tribal soldiers of Abadai Khan of the Khalkha region, who are nominally here to protect the Living Buddha. The other force is a believer in the Yellow Sect, organized spontaneously, and obeys orders.

Mongol soldiers of Taranatha.

The soldiers in front of me belong to the Khalkha tribe.

The Khalkha soldiers strictly checked the passers-by, as if they were looking for someone. As they passed by, several soldiers glanced at Tie Mo and the others, and then turned their attention to the people behind them.

The Khalkha soldiers obviously had little interest in the coolies delivering materials to the construction site.

After being some distance away from several soldiers, Chang Minyue held on to her loose hat and breathed a sigh of relief, "Finally we have broken through. Further ahead is the territory of the Living Buddha. The people of the Khalkha tribe are not here."

Dare to make trouble there."

"Oh, can this big stone be removed from my body?"

Chang Minyue raised her eyebrows and said softly: "Just in case, I have to hold on for a while!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he heard a thump. Tie Mo stared, threw the big stone on the side of the road, and walked forward with a dark face.

Aqige quickly stood in the middle and looked behind him with a vigilant expression, "Can you two stop arguing and do business first?"

Chang Minyue and Tie Mo groaned at the same time and turned their heads elsewhere.

.......

There was a yurt, with a large purple flag standing outside the door, and a swastika pattern fluttering in the wind.

Bursts of Sanskrit sounds came from the yurt, and dozens of Mongolian men and women knelt on the ground, listening devoutly to the people inside reciting scriptures.

Tie Mo couldn't understand the Mongols. They had always believed in the Immortal Heaven and the Prairie Wolf, but why did they accept Tibetan Buddhism so quickly?

When the chanting was over, a bearded Mongolian man said something, and the Mongolian men and women knelt down and dispersed. After the men and women were cleared, the Mongolian man invited the three Aqiges into the yurt.

When passing by the bearded man, Chang Minyue put her right hand on her chest and gave a gentle salute, "Hasler, please excuse me."

"Well, Miss Chang, the Living Buddha is waiting for you inside!"

When Chang Minyue and the others entered the tent, Hassler consciously stayed outside.

The light transmission inside the yurt is very poor, and it is still dim even during the day. Two shelves each support a brazier, and the charcoal fire makes a gentle crackling sound.

Under the dim light of the fire, a monk in red robes and a yellow felt hat sat upright on the mattress. He was thin and wrinkled, and he looked like an old man in his fifties.

Under the old face, a pair of eyes revealed bursts of light.

Is this the living Buddha Dora Natha of Jebtsundamba?

If we hadn't met him here, we would have thought that he was just a dying old monk.

After entering the account, Tie Mo imitated the movements of Chang Minyue and Aqige, put his hands together, and then sat on a straw mat.

Chang Minyue was only responsible for the introduction, and it was actually Aqige who actually talked to Doronatha.

Tie Mo sat on the mat, listening to the conversation between the two parties, but could only stare. What the two said were all in Mongolian, and Tie Mo could not understand a word.

The two talked for a long time. Aqige was sometimes anxious and sometimes happy. On the other hand, Duoluo Nata remained calm from beginning to end, without any fluctuations.

After a long time, Aqige took out a long wooden box from his arms and gently placed it on the low table.

There was no change in the expression on Tarona's face, but his fingers twirling the beads paused for a moment. Although the pause was short, Tie Mo still saw that the veins in his withered hands were swollen.

After opening the wooden box and confirming that it was the Meng Dzi Bead, Doronatha closed his eyes and recited the Buddha's name, and said something to Aqige calmly.

Aqige clasped his hands together, returned the salute, and raised his hand to point at Tie Mo next to him.

Dorona's seemingly cloudy eyes were full of vicissitudes of life and wisdom. He looked at Tie Mo again and said, "If the holy object can return to the Holy Land, I have to thank the donor for his help along the way."

Tie Mo had a look of astonishment on his face, because what Duo Luo Na was actually speaking was in Chinese, and he spoke it very clearly.

"Don't worry about the living Buddha, it's just the right time. Tie doesn't ask for anything else, he just wants to be able to barter safely in the holy land."

"The donor is joking, the Holy Land welcomes all friends to barter here!"

...

After walking out of the yurt, Aqige clenched her pink fist and waved it in the air, her face filled with excitement and happiness.

"It seems that what Father Khan said is right. Living Buddha also needs other people to check and balance Abadai Khan!"

Tie Mo couldn't understand Mongolian at all, and naturally he didn't know what they had talked about before. Seeing that Aqige was so happy, he could only ask in a low voice.

"Princess, what is it that makes you so happy?"

Aqige raised her beautiful eyes, took off her hat, and shook her black and shiny hair.

"The Living Buddha promised that he would publicize the name of his father Khan to his people, and from then on, the Naiman tribe had the right to station troops to protect the holy land."

"Well! It's indeed something worth being happy about!"

The Naiman tribe stationed troops in the holy place, which meant that Living Buddha Taranatha began to cooperate with Kachin Khan. With the help of Living Buddha, Kachin Khan's power will definitely become stronger and stronger.

Kachin Khan received a big boost, and Living Buddha Taranatha also introduced a force to check and balance Abadai Khan. Both sides got what they needed.

Tie Mo was not too concerned about this. What he was really happy about was that Naiman's troops were stationed in the Holy Land, and his Tie Mo's camel team would be safe in the future.

"Princess, from now on Tie's camel team will have to be looked after by you."

"This is all a trivial matter. This princess said that you are my friend, and friends should help each other."

Aqige was obviously very happy. In his joy, he waved his pink fist and beat Tie Mo on the chest.
