Chapter 27 Castle

At night, Ke Wen was woken up by Penelo because he fell asleep unknowingly on the train. After all, it was his first time to ride on this old-fashioned train. The swaying feeling was too easy to make people sleepy.

Got it.

"Um...are we there?" Ke Wen looked up at the dark night outside the window, stood up and stretched his body and asked.

"We have arrived at Hogsmeade Station." Penello said while adjusting the folds on her magic robe: "We are still a long way from Hogwarts. Let's get off the train quickly."

"How do you know?" Ke Wen was puzzled. At the same time, he took out his wand and pointed at Penello: "Clean it up."

In an instant, Penello's robe became as neat as new.

"Thank you, hurry up and put on your robe." Penello urged: "Hurry up, we have to go down to gather. The conductor came to inform you when you were sleeping."

"Okay." Coven put away his wand, opened the suitcase and took out the wizard's robe.

He quickly put his robe on his body and closed the suitcases. Then he picked up two large suitcases with one hand in each hand.

"Oh, I forgot to mention it." Seeing this, Penello quickly slapped his forehead: "There is no need to take the salute. The conductor said just put it on the car and someone will help us deliver the salute to the college."

"Oh, okay." Ke Wen let go, put the suitcase down again, looked at the two owl cages and asked, "Don't you need owls too?"

"No, let's get out of the car quickly." Penello said, reaching out, taking Coven's hand, and walked out of the compartment.

Following the flow of people, Coven and Penello got off the train, when a loud voice came from the distance.

"Freshmen come to me!"

Ke Wen instantly turned around and saw that on the other side of the locomotive, a short and fat witch was holding a wand to his throat, using the 'loud voice' magic to repeat: "Freshmen all come to my side!"

"Wow, that person's voice is really loud." Penello whispered in surprise.

"The magic effect, that's Professor Pomona Sprout." Coven knew the other person, so he explained in Penello's ear: "He is the professor of Herbology and the dean of Hufflepuff College.

.”

"Do you know him?" Penello asked.

"Basically, I know all the professors at Hogwarts." Coven nodded, and then he led Penello forward and said, "During the holidays, the professors often take the freshmen to the wand shop, okay?

Levander introduced us to him."

While they were talking, the two of them had already arrived in front of Professor Pomona Sprout. Because more than a dozen freshmen had gathered around them, Ke Wen and the two did not push through the crowd to go to the front.

But even so, Professor Pomona Sprout saw Ke Wen and couldn't help but nodded to Ke Wen with a smile in her eyes.

Ke Wen also wore a polite smile and nodded to Professor Sputraw as a greeting.

"Okay, okay. Let me count." After a while, Professor Sputraw stopped calling, looked at the pile of little wizards in front of him, and started counting.

The count was quickly completed, and Professor Sputraw nodded with a smile: "Very good, the number is correct, all the freshmen are here, follow me closely, children, do you understand?"

Voices of different responses rang out one after another, and Professor Sputraw didn't pay attention. He raised his hand to support the old patched wizard's hat on his head, turned around and led the way.

After leaving the station, there was a huge inland lake in the distance. Along the uneven dirt road, a group of people were led by Professor Sputraw to the lakeside.

"Okay, kids, we're here." Professor Sputraw pointed to the lake: "Now line up and get in the wooden boat. Each boat can take up to five people."

The freshmen obediently lined up to board the boat. Since Covin and Penello walked last, when it was their turn to board the boat, they were the only two people on the small wooden boat.

As Professor Sputraw got into a small canoe alone, all the canoes started slowly, led by Professor Sputraw's canoe, and headed towards the interior of the lake.

There is a wooden pole on each wooden boat, and an oil lamp hangs on the top of the wooden pole. The light can only illuminate a one-meter area around the wooden boat, and people need to hold the wooden pole with their hands.

Coven took over the job without using any magic spells such as the Levitation Spell, because there were so many new beings nearby and he didn't want to show off his magical abilities.

The canoe drove slowly, and more than ten minutes passed. After passing through a low stone bridge hole, the surroundings were no longer pitch black, and a faint light came from the distance ahead.

Because there was mist on the lake, everyone could not clearly see the scene where the light came from. It was not until the canoe drove for another ten minutes that everyone could completely see the source of the light.

It was an extremely huge castle, built on a cliff. Orange lights shone from the large and small windows of the castle, reflecting the lake in front of it in a dim color.

"Wow..." Penello stared straight at the castle in front of him and couldn't help but exclaimed.

At the same time, various exclamations sounded from the surrounding small wooden boats. Immediately, the originally quiet environment was completely broken, and the freshmen on each boat couldn't help but start discussions about the castle.

Ke Wen didn't care that much about the castle. It was just a castle, and it didn't deserve his surprise. But he couldn't bear the excitement of Penello next to him, so he could only echo a few perfunctory words.

After a while, the discussion gradually subsided, and the canoe drove for more than ten minutes and finally reached the shore.

Ashore, the freshmen were led by Professor Sputraw, left the pier, walked along the road, and finally arrived under the castle.

After entering the main entrance, the front was not the castle hall, but went up two more flights of stairs, and then stopped in front of a huge carved wooden door.

"Thank you for your hard work, Pomona." In front of the door, Professor McGonagall had a prim and serious look on her face and nodded gently to Professor Sputrow.

"Yes, then I will go in first." Professor Sputraw responded: "Then I will hand over the children to you."

"Well, come on in." After Professor McGonagall said, his eyes quickly scanned the faces of the sixty-two freshmen, and his eyes also stayed on Ke Wen's face for a moment.

"Welcome to Hogwarts..." Professor McGonagall delivered a speech, and then explained the sorting matters that the new students will face next, and briefly talked about the rules of the house.

After Professor McGonagall finished speaking, Penello whispered in Kewen's ear: "I am really looking forward to my future college life more and more. By the way, Kewen, do you know how to sort into different schools?"

"I don't know. I asked many people, but they didn't tell me." Ke Wen shook his head and answered in a low voice...
