Chapter 1028 The Polar Secret Cave

They are now in a huge valley. The tops of the mountains on both sides are covered with snow that never melts all year round. The dark rock walls are vertically down the top of the mountain, and the depth is not bottom-out.

In front, two-thirds of the rock wall is embedded with a small apron, and a rather simple guide device is ready to guide any aircraft to land.

Going down the apron, you can see a row of short chest walls covering a metal door. Rozim guessed that there is probably no place for the entire Pai Shangxing Star to be more than here.

“I can’t believe it.”

Hank Evans also made a marvelous voice.

After following a cult patrol for three days, they touched the place, but unexpectedly it turned out to be a hidden stronghold.

“Where is this?”

Rozim touched his chin and asked a confused question. Kren, who was beside him, couldn't say anything, but Sinrata still kept holding his hands in his chest because he couldn't tell his expression even with sunglasses.

"Observatory--"

"Stop farting with me here. Obviously not. Why do you need thousands of people to live here? What exactly needs to be guarded here? We are now in the center of a damn mountain."

"Uh...Arsenal?"

"When the head gets water, put the arsenal here. Are you going to transport it out with birds?"

"Then boss, what should we do?"

Rozim stared at the metal door and glanced around.

"I really want to know what's inside, so I must go in and take a look, but there's only one at the entrance-"

"uncertain."

Suddenly, Sinrata spoke.

He raised his hand and pointed to the area about a kilometer ahead.

"There is a cave there, I guess it might be connected to it."

Rozim looked over but saw nothing.

"Really? Why didn't I see anything?"

"I saw it."

"Are you sure?"

"Sure."

Rozim frowned and thought for a while, and finally decided to believe this person once. Although this guy always gives people a mysterious feeling, he can basically not make any mistakes when he speaks.

"Okay, let's go and have a look."

After nearly half an hour of hard trek, they finally arrived at the area referred to by Sinrata. Rozim was surprised to find that behind a rock, there was indeed a cave half a meter high.

Standing at the entrance of the cave, you can feel a little breeze and a slightly warm breath, and it is obvious that it is open inside.

"I'm going, it's awesome, are you pretending to be mechanical prosthetic eyes?"

Sinrata did not reply, but bent down and went in alone.

Afterwards, the other three also got in.

After entering, they found that the space inside was much larger than that outside, and there were still some artificial traces left, which were obviously not a completely natural cave.

Going inward along the cave, they soon discovered a passage similar to a mine tunnel, but the artificial traces inside were almost erased by time, and it was obviously a long time.

After that, they passed through gradually narrowing tunnels, becoming more and more slanted, as if they were about to be swallowed up in the bedrock deep underground.

At first, in order to prevent being discovered, they just used lighting sticks, but as the terrain became more and more rugged, this lighting was not enough, and Rozim fell twice.

"Damn... turn on the light."

So Cron and Evans activated the lighting devices on their heads and chests, and the entire team accelerated because they didn't have to worry about being tripped.

As the rock wall patterns and the feeling of the soles of the feet changed, a cave entrance appeared in front of them.

This is a huge cave that can accommodate the next dozen people, and it is here that they encounter enemies again.

It was a rebel in a unified uniform, not a local inhabitant of Pai Shangxing, but a rebellious astral army brought from outside the void by the Black Legion.

There were twenty people in total, and it seemed to be their camp. Some were sleeping in tents, some were eating, and some were chatting. There was a passage not far away, which shone out with light.

“How to say it?”

Hank Evans looked at Rozim, and the team chef counted the people on the field with his fingers.

“There are six in total that are active, the only lighting is the bonfire on the ground, but it’s very dark and full of shadows.”

Hank Evans blinked and realized what Rozim meant.

"Boss, you won't-"

"Of course we have to do it, why don't we do it? These cults are protected so closely, so there must be something amazing in it."

After saying that, he looked at Kron and Sinrata.

"One person, I'll have one more, Sinrata, you have one more, no problem?"

Both of them nodded in response.

Soon, they tiptoed out of the hidden place, moved quickly in the shadows, and approached their respective targets.

The first signal is a slight crisp sound of the broken bone.

Kron directly twisted a guy's neck from behind and dragged it into the shadow.

"Um?"

One of them seemed to have noticed something, but before he fell, his other companion died.

Rozim's huge body rushed out of the shadow. While covering the other person's mouth and nose, the dagger kept stabbing into the other person's chest.

Evans put a cloth bag on a person's head, then pressed the heavy burden on the other party's head until the other party was silent.

Sinrata's movements were even more shockingly fast. He appeared like a ghost and directly pierced a soldier in deep red armor with a dagger.

When he was dismembered from his hip to his collarbone, the splashed blood spilled on the rocks, he could not make any noise because his throat was cut.

Then five seconds later, the second unlucky guy was cut off his head. He even lit a cigarette and held it in his mouth.

"What should I do if the rest, boss?"

"What do you think of? Do you want to kill first?"

"Well--"

Rozim had quietly lifted the curtain of the tent and threw in a plasma grenade that he had gotten from somewhere.

Evans had just time to close his eyes, but the strong light directly passed through his eyelids. The pungent ozone smell replaced the smell of blood, and the unique ionizing air sound echoed in the space.

When he opened his eyes again, Rozim was nodding with satisfaction.

"Poor guy."

Through the curtain, he saw that there were only twisted and charred corpses in the tent, and those guys were killed in an instant, which was quite relaxing in a sense.

After solving the enemy, they plundered the battlefield, took away useful things, and even made some food with the remaining bonfires, although they were bloody corpses more than ten meters away.

Afterwards, the expedition team continued to set out and penetrated into the glowing passage.

It was not until after entering that Rozim realized that the passage with an unusually smooth cutting surface was so narrow that it was barely allowed to pass by one person. The wall was embedded with a illumination ball.

In desperation, they could only move forward quietly like pipe mice. Rozim was used to it, but Evans had no similar experience. In this small space, every sound of footsteps, coughs, curses, and cracks caused by collisions between equipment would be magnified unlimitedly.

But for Rozim, the different echo modes in the cave can guide the right direction as well as the illuminators on the soldier's gun.

Because of this, he was the first person in the entire team to see a blurry shadow in the darkness ahead. That thing was not much clearer than the dark spots in the night.

So he raised his hand to signal.

"etc."

Rozim whispered an order.

"There may be enemies."
