Chapter 13 The Terminator

The tremors of the world engine were intensifying. Soshyan had no way of knowing what this meant, but he had a very bad feeling.

And the worst part is, his feelings often don't stray too far from reality.

Along the way, Soshyang noticed the blood stains on the ground. It was obvious that a battle had occurred in this passage not long ago, but what was very strange was that there were no corpses or wreckage on the ground, whether they were aliens or battle brothers.

After leaving the passage, Soshyang led the team to follow the traces of blood drops to the left, passed several majestic gates, and went to the upper level through a spiral staircase.

At this time, a slight moan was keenly captured by Sosh Yang. He could tell that it was a human voice and it was full of pain.

Driven by a terrible premonition, Soshyang suddenly sped up and ran.

"There's a situation!"

As he rushed through another corridor, this time he rushed to a terrace, and below was a vast space with several passages intersecting together. Explosions one after another were destroying those neat spaces.

At the far end of the terrace is an archway, with a naked figure lying on the ground, and next to him is a mechanical undead with clawed hands peeling off his skin.

The anger in his heart was instantly ignited, and Soshiyang rushed forward to attack, hoping to hit the target first before he realized the danger.

But some kind of sixth sense alerted the corrupted alien. It turned sharply, and its giant blood-stained claws just happened to lock with Sosh Yang's weapon, firing out several sparks and a hissing sound from metal friction.

This time the block forced Sosh Yang to take a step back, but he pounced again and swung the whirling chain sword towards his opponent's abdomen.

The ferocious and swift attack penetrated directly through the opponent's body. It wasn't until he raised the weapon again to strike again that he could see his opponent's face clearly.

It was a piece of bloody dough.

"dross!"

The furious Soshi Yang directly twisted the opponent's head off, and then trampled it to pieces. The other four members of the team quickly surrounded him, trying to save the battle brothers on the ground.

But when Axey shook his head slightly, the opponent's lifeline was declared broken. Soshyang could tell through the opponent's broken epaulettes that he was a veteran of the Second Company.

This also shows that they are getting closer to the chapter leader.

And just as they were mourning a moment of silence for the veterans who died in the battle, a large number of enemies appeared at the arch. Soshyan looked around and found that the only way ahead was feasible.

Then, there is only one tactic left.

"Fire!"

With a roar, the nearest undead fell down and exploded into pieces under the hail of explosive bombs.

Four warriors were spread out on both sides of Sosh Yang to ensure the maximum width of firepower. Although they were few in number, because the passage was not wide, there were not many enemies to face.

However, ammunition soon became their new problem.

Before they knew it, they had been fighting for several hours, and the ammunition they had prepared had long been exhausted. Soon they could only use melee weapons.

"Save ammo and move forward!"

In order to be able to cope with the coming battle, Soshyang planned to use assault tactics, and his voice immediately rang on the team channel.

According to his observations, the leader of the forward Necron team was nearby. If identified by size, he was about a hundred meters ahead. A mechanical leader with a humanoid upper body and a spider-like lower body.

As Soshyan was reloading, he was interrupted by some kind of cold whisper, and the alien leader was leading the charge towards the Space Marines.

Although these mechanical undead are supposed to be soulless and blasphemous creations, Sosh Yang seems to be able to feel something close to emotion from the alien leader. These high-level mechanical undead seem to be able to maintain their biological attributes.

side.

There's at least one thing it can't resist - a challenge to authority.

"Maintain the front."

Sosh Yang's voice rang across the channel, and then the battle between him and the undead leader was filled with bullets again.

In an instant, the air was filled with dry, dusty, sizzling metal. All three soldiers in the squad had been slightly wounded in the crossfire. There was no way they could hold their small front for more than a few seconds while completely exposed.

minute.

Sosh Yang judged that they must move in time.

During this process, the alien leader came to Sosh Yang in front of a hail of bullets, brandished a huge metal sickle to challenge, and swung it straight towards his throat.

"Back off."

Sosh Yang made a calm judgment and made room for the enemy leader.

He kept shooting, beating the undead soldiers following the leader into rubbish, switching from one target to the next with skill and ease.

The remaining warriors held the line, pouring ammunition into the growing swarm of machines like an unquenchable frenzy.

Only Soshyan retreated.

Only the alien leader followed into the team's encirclement.

"Gather the fire!".

The alien leader focused all his attention on him, and his huge scythe drew ravines on the black ground, as if he would not stop until he was killed.

The other four people pointed their guns at it at the same time and started shooting wildly.

The plan was good, but Soshyan ignored the opponent's determination and tenacity and overestimated their firepower.

Axel's gun was the first to go off, and with an ominous clicking sound, his angry voice sounded on the channel.

"Out of ammunition!"

Soshiyang had no time to deal with this problem at this moment, because he almost retreated to the edge of the platform under the fierce pursuit of the opponent, with nowhere to go.

Then a thunderbolt struck and saved his life.

It came from a strong discharge energy collision, and then hit the terrace, causing the ground to tremble violently.

Thanks to Soshyan's automatic stabilizers he remained upright.

A behemoth fell to the ground and raised a cloud of dust and dry dust. The alien leader disappeared into the dust and turned into scattered metal fragments under the attack of the Empire's weapons.

When the dust finally stopped, the leader of the Terminator team, Forro, stood in front of Soshyan, and a Thunderhawk roared past in the sky, shooting at the undead below.

Forlo jumped directly from the Thunder Eagle.

As he lowered his head and began to examine Soshyan, the servos of his Terminator armor whirred and rubbed. The Tactical Dreadnought, also known as the Terminator Armor, was the Empire's most valuable individual armor, capable of killing a single soldier.

Space Marines transform into indestructible siege beasts on the battlefield.

Terminator armor was once mass-produced during the Great Crusade, but due to the loss of knowledge after the Horus Heresy, only a handful of Forge Worlds were able to produce this powerful armor.

For most Chapters, any piece of Terminator armor is a precious asset. Usually only the veterans with the longest service are qualified to wield Terminator armor, and they only obey the direct orders of the Chapter Master.

Forlo raised his giant metal foot and stepped on the alien leader's deformed head, causing a burst of sparks to fly. His fists were surrounded by electricity. The terrifying blow just now came from these fists.

"brothers."

Although Forlo spoke on the communication channel, he still looked at Soshyan.

"Now it is your turn, in the name of the Emperor, to attack."

There was a scream, and an assault team appeared from a nearby height. Their jump packs were swaying with flames, and their bolt pistols fired wildly downwards, tearing the slow mechanical undead into pieces.

And that Thunderhawk - Soshyan was very lucky that it was able to escape the destruction of the Storm, and quickly turned back, spraying deadly metal at the undead queue.

Soshyan glanced at Forlo, then reloaded his ammunition and returned to his team's formation.

The situation has changed.

The Terminator's precise strikes shattered the Necron command structure, and suddenly the Necron soldiers were caught in a dilemma, torn between their desire to continue attacking their previous enemies or turning back to face new threats.

Forlo obviously had no intention of giving them time to make a decision.

He raised his right fist, and even though the sound weakened, it could easily cover the sound of the massacre.

The roar of the chainsword signals that Soshyan's squad is ready to join the fight.

"Space Marines, attack!"
