Chapter 447 An unexpected traveler

"The ship has regained the strength of its psychic shields and restrictions on psykers have been re-established."

Hearing the words of the judge, Velez nodded slowly.

The Red Corsairs were defeated, and only one battleship escaped. Although it could not completely wipe out the enemy, most of the Chaos Space Marines were left behind on the black ships.

"I'm sorry for the sisters you lost. They fought with confidence and honor. You should be proud."

"I'm still sad."

Velez said this and then looked down at the body of Emiliana Anatole. She was lying in a row with the other sisters who died in the battle with a calm expression, as if they were all asleep.

"But your prey is still there, even though she almost became the property of the tyrant."

Velez shook his head.

"She belongs to the emperor. To me, she is just fuel."

On the bridge, in addition to the remaining nuns and stormtroopers, there were three giants, respectively wearing silver-gray, bright yellow and blue-white armor.

Three Chapter Masters gathered together, which would be a big scene anywhere.

And what they are about to do is even more shocking.

After briefly mourning the fallen nuns, Inquisitor Quant turned his attention to the three Chapter Masters.

The appearance of the two battle groups surprised him, especially the appearance of Malakin. This battle group was originally saved by him, and he was the one who decided to carry out the Atonement Expedition. He did not expect that they would be the ones who saved him in the end.

Perhaps this is the emperor's secret arrangement.

He immediately asked Malakin why he appeared here and the status of their atonement expedition, but what the other party said surprised him.

The Lamenters have formed an alliance with the Astral Knights and are launching a raid on New Badab, Huron's lair!

This shocked Quant. He also knew about the Astral Knights. The entire battle group was almost wiped out in the World Engine battle. Although he didn't know how many Astral Knights were left in the end, he estimated that there would never be more than two people.

Hundred.

Just two war groups are going to attack Huron's lair, and the ranger warriors are also going to follow. That's three war groups!

"Captain Soshyan, are you sure this plan is correct?"

As the Inquisitor of the Empire, Quant could not sit back and watch the three Chapters perish, even though he knew that Huron was heading towards the home planet of the Astral Knights.

But if he was given a choice, he would rather destroy a planet than see even one company of Astartes die in battle.

He has data that many people cannot see. After years of war, the number of active war groups in the empire has dropped to a historical freezing point, and so has the number of Astartes.

In a sense, the Astartes are a species that is slowly becoming extinct.

"Judge, I am certain of the correctness of this action and understand the necessity of all this. This is our only chance to defeat Huron."

Soshyan paused for a moment, and he noticed that while he was speaking, Velez kept looking at him.

He didn't know if the nun saw any traces of heresy in him (guilty conscience). He just hoped that the other party would not always focus on him.

"Our current situation is indeed difficult, but we must face those traitors who cannot be forgiven. If we launch this war in traditional ways, we will never reach New Badab."

He did not say anything more, but everyone else understood that the people on the bridge were high-ranking members of the empire, and they also knew that the will of an Astartes Chapter Master was not easily shaken.

Quandt didn't want to immediately use his authority as a judge to force the other party, because the results of doing so were often very bad, and what should he do if the other party disobeyed?

Once things come to a standstill, not only will his personal reputation be lost, but the authority of the tribunal will also be shaken.

He thought calmly for a while and then asked:

"Do you have any idea what the total loss of three Chapters would mean to the Imperium?"

"Of course I know, but as I said, if we run away from the enemy because we are weak, then the value of our own existence will no longer exist... We are warriors, not warlords. Preserving our strength may be temporary.

It is an example, but it must not be used as a guideline for our actions.

If the Emperor allows our souls to return to the throne, we will be happy to do so."

Soshyan's words made Velez's eyes light up.

"Yes, that's how it should be. No matter how powerful a beast is, it's still a beast. The warriors of the empire have the ability to set its nest on fire!"

The nun's words made Quant roll his eyes.

Is this little girl really ignorant?

"There is not much point in arguing. We are already on the verge of launching an attack. We have no time to delay. The fleet will set off in twenty minutes. You should leave this place quickly and return to a safe starting point."

Quant felt a new weight upon him, something akin to loneliness, only stronger and deeper.

"Captain Soshyan, why do you think your current strength can defeat Huron's fortress?"

The Inquisitor is the smallest among the people on the bridge, even shorter than the nuns, but his voice can still reflect strong authority and intimidation.

Malakin stood up and answered him.

"Our determination, our will, and the Emperor's blessing."

"Yes! The fortress of heresy is vulnerable!"

Velez shook his fist vigorously.

Quant suddenly had a headache. He really wanted to tell this crazy woman to shut up, but he also knew that the consequence would probably be to get some kind of look as a coward.

Soshyan raised one hand, clenched it into a fist, and struck his chest hard.

"If we cannot destroy the enemy like a hammer, we will eat away at the enemy like a cancer. We are in their territory. They think they are safe here, but they are wrong! We are here to strike them and bleed them.

, even if they are lucky enough to destroy one of us, Huron will find that he needs more power than imagined to destroy the rest. We have the power, and we must admit it."

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! Afterwards, they talked for a few more minutes, but Quant still could not convince Soshyan to change his plan.

He had also considered whether to go with Soshyan, but Quant felt that he might not be able to help, and he might also get himself into trouble - it was not that he had no confidence in Soshyan, it was just that he believed in 'staying'

As the saying goes, "Only when you have a useful body can you do useful things." He rarely takes risks personally.

On the other hand, Velez actually wanted the Holy Word to join the joint strike fleet to attack Huron's lair, which frightened the captain.

After much talking, the nun gave up her plan. Now he just wanted to return to Terra as soon as possible.

Just when Soshyan and others were about to leave, Quant suddenly came up with an idea.

"Captain Soshyan, I can't help you with anything. You have seen Sister Velez's bravery in fighting. I can use her and the remaining seven sisters as support for you."

If it were anyone else, they would definitely think that the judge was trying to kill someone with a borrowed knife.

But Velez was so excited that his breathing quickened.

She could not wait to participate in this great and glorious crusade, fight side by side with the heroic Astartes, and destroy those hateful heretics.

Soshyan was in trouble.

There was no doubt that the nun was a destabilizing factor, and he didn't want to cause any further problems.

"The black ship's defense..."

"A few nuns can't do much. The stormtroopers are enough. We shouldn't encounter any more enemies when we return now. Huron knows you are coming and will definitely mobilize his forces to return to defense at all costs. They have no intention of harassing us."

"This... this battle is very dangerous."

"Captain Soshyan!"

Before he finished speaking, Velez took a step forward and stared at him.

"Do not underestimate our determination to serve the Emperor!"

"I did not mean that....."

"Then let's go, don't waste time."

With that said, Velez opened his long legs and led the sisters towards the flight deck.

Soshyan looked at Malakin, who shrugged and said that there was nothing he could do. The Battle Sisters were famous for their fanaticism, and their stubbornness was no less than that of the Space Marines.

"Looking on the bright side, we have a little more help, don't we?"

Malakin patted him on the shoulder, and Soshyan could only let out a sigh.

After telling Velez some things, Quant watched them leave the Holy Word in the Thunderhawk of the Space Marines, and in the void, the huge fleet also began to move slowly——
