Chapter 958 The Tenth Company is in action

Hao Mo checked the communication frequency, but he only heard static signals. All signals were blocked between the ionization effect of the atmosphere and the thick shell of the assault module. He was unable to communicate with the company commander Armin before landing.

The turbulence during re-entry rose to a hair-raising climax and continued for three and a half minutes until a warning icon appeared on the display - thrusters activated.

Technical sergeants have programmed the drop pods in case there is a major air defense threat over the drop zone.

"The shock was like being kicked in the back by a giant."

This is how someone described their current situation.

When the thrusters ran at full speed for a full three seconds, until the point of impact, a deafening roar sounded from beneath their feet.

Hao Mo felt another much smaller vibration, and heard a faint tearing impact, followed by a series of small and sharp impact sounds that echoed on the shell of the drop cabin, and finally it stopped.

The monitor went blank at first, flashing urgent red.

"unlock!"

Hao Mo shouted into the team channel, and then hit the quick release device of the drop pod with his fist.

The hydraulics let out a hiss and a blast of hot air as the hatch unfolded in front of him, then stopped at about a 60-degree angle.

The hydraulic system whined constantly, almost changing the volume of the drop bay before a safety interlock activated and halted the process.

Hao Mo felt that the deck under his feet was tilting a little. He roared angrily, took a step forward, and stepped on the hatch panel with one foot.

He heard the crackle of masonry, the hatch bounced slightly, and then dropped another 0.5 degrees.

Acrid smoke and heat began to seep into the interior of the reentry module, and Haumo heard curses on the channel as other team members tried to squeeze out of the drop module.

So he grabbed the door frame with one hand and the edge of the ramp with the other, climbed down from the drop pod, and immediately saw what was happening.

The airborne capsule landed on a multi-story building, penetrated at least four or five floors like a bullet, and finally stopped in the dilapidated basement of the building.

The weak sunlight that filtered through the gaping hole in the building was almost obscured by the thickening smoke - the propellers ignited the upper floors of the building.

The other two drop pods have been fully opened, but the Haomo one is unfortunately blocked by piles of debris. The Oscar brothers have already got out and are trying to drag the heavy explosive bomb out of the cabin.

At this time, Robin came to Hao Mo's drop cabin. When he carefully stepped on the rubble, his powerful arms stretched above his shoulders and made a weak whine.

"Step aside!"

He yelled and opened his strong arms.

Then, with the sound of masonry grates and the groan of metal, the airborne cabin slowly stood upright from a slight tilt, and the hatch was finally able to open.

"Good job, brother,"

Hao Mo came out and patted the champion swordsman on the shoulder as he spoke.

"We have to find a way out."

Haumor gave his orders to his squad, and the Astartes took action.

Within seconds, the Tenth Company had climbed up a fallen ceiling to the first floor of the building. Burning debris fell like a meteor shower onto the armor between the Astartes, small pieces falling in a clatter,

Didn't hurt them.

Although the recruits have not yet put on power armor, the scout armor they wear is different from the norm. It uses some of the technology Soshyan obtained from Armageddon. It is somewhat similar to the large Stormtrooper armor, which also adopts the full

Closed design.

Returning to the ground, Haoma pulled out a divination device from his belt.

"Where are we?"

Oscar stretched his head and took a look

"We are less than 500 meters away from the enemy's stronghold. It is estimated that the enemy has discovered it."

"Then what are you waiting for? Let's go quickly."

Homo glanced at the glowing reading again and nodded. The Astartes didn't bother to fumble for the doorway - when they encountered a wall, they punched quickly through the flimsy partition.

After a while, the team saw a large hazy light ahead.

They had entered the outskirts of the fortress and came to the streets outside. The ground was covered with raindrops of glass shards and dirty gray smoke.

The 10th Company walked on a narrow street that ran roughly east-west. As far as they could see, the road was littered with piles of rubble and charred corpses.

Most of the buildings facing the street were reduced to rubble by artillery shells, their facades blackened by small arms flames and riddled with craters. A damaged six-wheeled transport truck fell dozens of meters to the right of the group, its tires still burning.

The air echoed with the crackle of weapons and the clang of firing pins, and the ominous whistle of shells whizzing overhead.

Suddenly, the roar of the engine echoed on a narrow cross street only 20 meters to the left of the team. Haomo immediately recognized the sound: a civilian truck driving very fast, it sounded like there were four of them.

"Prepare for an ambush!"

Hao Mo waved to the other side of the street, and Oscar immediately led the team into the houses on both sides. Robin knelt behind a pile of charred rubble. His team members were close to the left side of the ruins, and began to place heavy explosive bombs on

On the rubble.

Haoma also drew his pistol.

The truck reached the corner in seconds, rumbled quickly across the road, and headed to the front lines a few kilometers north.

They were modified personnel carriers equipped with crude automatic cannons. There were blasphemous symbols and bodies tied up with chains everywhere on the vehicles. Thick black exhaust gas was constantly spewing out from the rear of the vehicles.

Just as the first troop carrier passed by, one of the recruits pointed his melta gun at the truck and pulled the trigger.

The next second, the muzzle of the gun released a burst of high-intensity microwaves, converting the metal shell of the vehicle into superheated plasma. The fuel tank of the personnel carrier exploded with an earth-shattering thud, and the entire vehicle was blown to pieces in an instant.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! A second later, the heavy bomber fired, shooting the last truck with a violent blast.

The bullets ripped out the vehicle's casing, gouged its solid tires, and penetrated the personnel carrier's fragile armor plating, causing bloody destruction to those huddled inside.

Soon, the car staggered to a stop, with thick smoke billowing from the small hole in the side.

The two middle vehicles turned to the left, trying to avoid the burning wreckage of the lead vehicle and escape the ambush circle. The vehicle's automatic cannon tilted to the right, firing a series of high-explosive shells, blasting more holes in the burned-out buildings.

The heavy bolter round changed its target, but this time the shot was fired at a higher angle, hitting the vehicle's small turret, tearing it apart.

The automatic cannon shells exploded in the heat, emitting an angry red light and causing the entire vehicle to suddenly lose speed.

The third truck was traveling too fast, unable to stop, and rear-ended the damaged vehicle, spinning it 90 degrees to the right and nearly flipping it over.

"Leave no one alive."

As the panicked squad of cultists tried to escape the crashed car, the recruits shot them down with bolter fire.

Hao Mo calmly observed the massacre and the reaction of each recruit.

Most people seemed slightly excited.

At this time, the company communication channel suddenly sounded.

"All units report their positions and conditions."

This is Armin's voice.

Hauma pulled up a map of the landing zone on his tactical display and checked his coordinates.

"Company Commander, we are in good condition. All three teams landed successfully, although... it was a bit unexpected."

"Very good, now stay where you are and wait for orders."

"yes."

Haoma replied while sending their coordinates.
