90. The Familiars of the Stars

The tentacle summoned from the book in Bluebeard's hand struck hard on Gil de Rey's sword.

After a crisp sound like the collision of gold and iron, the long sword spun in the air and then fell to the ground.

No longer able to grasp the straight sword in his hand, Gilles de Rey was defeated in the end.

"hateful--"

Cursing lightly, Gil de Rey, who lost his weapon, quickly leaned over and tried to pick up the sword not far from his feet.

However, the tentacles of deep-sea creatures followed closely behind.

The sticky epidermal tissue on the front of the tentacle is covered with densely packed cylindrical protrusions like the sea anemone in which the clownfish lives. Each protrusion can move independently while the tentacle itself moves.

The ones on the back of the tentacles are squirming like snails and slugs turned over.

Such an appearance makes it difficult not to associate it with the word "ocean".

Several such thick tentacles wrapped around Gil de Rey's iron shoes, and then bound his calves.

The French marshal, who was maintaining a low posture, stopped for a moment in his forward posture, and then lost his balance.

"Don't get in the way!"

After supporting the ground with one hand and regaining his balance, Gil de Rey relied on the strong physical fitness of the Yayingling to pull away all the tentacles entangled under his feet.

His sword was just a step away.

But the subsequent collapse of the soil ended Gilles de Rey's hopes of regaining his weapons.

The marshal's straight sword collapsed together with the soil, and then entered the huge mouth like a sandworm.

Gil de Rey finally sees clearly the true nature of the "tentacles" he has been fighting against.:

Like a small fortress buried deep underground, monsters from the deep sea are now exposed.

There are no less than a thousand tentacles extending around the main body of the monster, wandering like jellyfish floating in the water.

The ends of the tentacles also branched out into more tiny tentacles like a jellyfish.

The tentacles that attacked him before were only part of multiple tentacles branched off from the end of one of the monster's tentacles.

Except for the soft tentacles, the monster's torso looks like a huge tree stump made of some kind of organism. Only the top of the torso has a huge mouth comparable to that of a sixrey eel.

Gil de Rey's body also began to fall into the giant mouth of the deep sea monster along with the soil beneath him.

"no----!!"

Just when Gil de Rey thought he was about to explain what he was doing, Bluebeard suddenly spoke up, and the tentacles of the deep sea monster grabbed Gil's falling body.

Gil de Rey watched helplessly as his sword was swallowed by a large amount of soil as it was squirming and swallowed by the huge mouth beneath him.

He suddenly discovered that the lower half of the deep-sea monster, which was still buried deep under the soil, seemed to be moving.

That's... an octopus?

The current deep sea monster seems to be like an octopus buried upside down in the soil, opening its huge mouth to the surface and waving its tentacles.

If Animusfia were here, I'm afraid she would recognize the monster's true form.

It does not come from the deep sea, but from the Star Familia in the universe.

The human skin book held in Bluebeard's hand is none other than his precious phantom [Ti's spellbook].

The prototype of the Luotan City Textbook is the Raleye Text, which was originally written in a language that was incomprehensible to humans. It was later recorded in ancient Chinese by the Xia Dynasty, and was finally brought back to Europe from the Central Plains and translated by Marco Polo.

A book that records information about the Star Familia who serve Cthulhu, the Deep Ones, the Deep Ones' father god Dagon, the mother god Hydra, the son of Cthulhu, Zoth Ormog, and another son of Cthulhu.

Books about Ghatanothoa and the Great Cthulhu himself.

The book later fell into the hands of Marco Polo's fellow countryman, the Italian alchemist Francois Prati.

Francois Platy was Gilles de Rey's alchemy enlightenment mentor, and the Luoyan City Textbook eventually fell into the hands of Gilles de Rey, creating Bluebeard, who has been infamous for thousands of years.

It is said that the book was held by the legendary French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte for a period of time after Bluebeard's death, but no one knows the details.

Supported by the intertwined tentacles of the Star Familia, Caster Bluebeard came to Gil de Rey who was hanging upside down in the air.

Although the appearance of the Star Familia makes them look like sea creatures and they can survive in the sea, the Star Familia are actually land creatures.

Rather than calling it a creature of the deep sea, it is better to call it a creature in the universe. Before the Phantasmal Species and humans appeared, they came to the earth together with Cthulhu, the ruler of the old days.

Caster's protruding eyes almost touched Gilles de Rey's face.

He stared closely at his "other self", as if he wanted to discover something in Gilles de Rey's eyes.

"I will not show mercy to my enemies."

Gill de Rey, who was suspended in mid-air, narrowed his eyes and stared at the familiar face opposite him, but now he wanted to tear it apart all the time.

"Of course! I will not show mercy to the enemy. Except if the target is 'me'."

Bluebeard still stared at Gil de Rey.

"Oh, 'I' am not the kind of person who can easily forgive myself. At least if it were me, I would never forgive you, even if you were me."

"Don't you understand yet?"

There was a hint of impatience in Bluebeard's tone.

"How could I let you go! But, that saint wants to take revenge on 'me' with her own hands! 'I' must die in her hands!"

When talking about Joan of Arc, Caster started to dance.

"....'Saint'? How long will you continue to lie to yourself? The saint is obviously on my side, and the one on your side is just a fake."

"What did you say!!"

Bluebeard angrily pulled down the hair of Gil de Rey, who was hanging upside down.

"You actually dare to say... You actually dare to say that my saint is fake! Are you going to deny her like everyone else?! Like those British guys?"

"Unforgivable! Unforgivable! Unforgivable!"

The angry Caster repeatedly hit Gil de Rey's face with his forehead.

"Unforgivable!"

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

But Gilles de Rey could not stop laughing.

"Ahem, hahahahahahaha!"

"Stop laughing!"

The headbutt severely broke the bridge of Gil de Rey's nose, and Bluebeard's own face became a bloody mess.

"Ha...ha...you can't fool yourself, you can't fool me."

Gilles de Rey continued to speak with his mouth open and panting.

"The 'Dragon Witch' is just the Joan of Arc in your imagination and in my imagination... The real Joan of Arc, stand with me!"

"you--------!"

The loud noise caused by the fall of a huge white dragon not far away interrupted Bluebeard's words.

Both of them couldn't help but turn their heads to look.

In addition to the body of the white dragon falling to the ground, there was also the saint who unsheathed her sword towards the 'Dragon Witch'.
