Chapter Thirty-Three: Avalokitesvara's Sao Operation

That night, Guanyin stayed at Jinshan Temple.

I discussed the Dharma with the old abbot and Xuanzang until late at night before going to bed separately.

But when Guanyin returned to the room, she thought about it and still felt that it was not safe enough.

After all, the participants in this Water and Land Dharma Assembly were almost all abbots or eminent monks from well-known temples in the Tang Dynasty.

Xuanzang is just a young man now, with no name and no status. Who will listen to his sermons when he appears at the Water and Land Dharma Assembly?

No one listened to Xuanzang’s lectures, so what prompted him to go to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures?

After much deliberation, Guanyin felt that Xuanzang should be given a suitable identity.

So she waved her hand gently, and her entire figure disappeared into the void.

Then he walked directly through the wall and left the room.

Not long after, Guanyin came outside the abbot's room. With a wave of his hand, an insect invisible to the naked eye flew directly into the room.

The old abbot in the room suddenly snored heavily. A smile appeared on Guanyin's lips and he murmured:

"Xuan Zang, this poor monk has helped you so much, don't let me down!"

When the words fell, a flame flew out from the tip of her finger.

The flames fell directly into the host's room, and the originally large flames suddenly turned into huge flames that swept through the entire house.

Seeing the flames crackling and engulfing the entire house, Guanyin's smile grew wider and wider.

Then he dodged and returned directly to his room.

Guanyin, who had just returned to bed and pretended to lie down, heard a monk shouting loudly outside.

"It's leaked! Get up quickly, the host's room is leaked."

Then I heard the sound of someone carrying a bucket and starting to put out the fire, and someone else wanted to rush in to rescue the old abbot.

Just when a mocking smile appeared on Guanyin's lips, the door was suddenly knocked open from the outside.

Then he saw Xuanzang's fair face full of fireworks and said anxiously:

"Master Puji, get out quickly, you're in trouble!"

Guanyin, who originally wanted to get angry, suddenly swallowed it back when he saw the concerned expression on Xuanzang's face.

He got up and followed Xuanzang out of the room, while pretending to help put out the fire.

Three hours later.

All the monks in Jinshan Temple knelt despondently at the door of the old abbot's room, and a sad atmosphere filled the entire Jinshan Temple.

It is strange to say that the fire that they could not put out no matter how hard they tried, only burned down the old abbot's house and then stopped.

However, the other houses connected to the old abbot were not affected at all. It was just that all the monks at the Jinshan Temple were in grief and did not notice anything unusual.

Xuanzang, as the only disciple of the old abbot, knelt at the front and kept moving the rosary beads in his hands, chanting scriptures in his mouth, and tears fell silently from the corners of his eyes.

The face that was darkened by smoke had criss-cross marks eroded by tears.

"Master Xuanzang, people are gone like lights going out, don't be too sad.

Although the old abbot is gone, the hundreds of monks in Jinshan Temple still have to survive. From now on, you have to manage Jinshan Temple on behalf of the abbot."

These words seemed to be comforting Xuanzang, but in fact Guanyin was confirming Xuanzang's position as the new abbot of Jinshan Temple.

She spent so much effort just to give Xuanzang a legitimate identity so that he could have the right to speak at the land and water conference. Of course, it was impossible for others to pluck the peaches.

Now the entire Jinshan Temple monks are still in grief over the recent death of the abbot. At this time, they should not have the mind to care about other things.

Sure enough, just as she finished speaking, the older monk from Jinshan Temple spoke:

"Yes! Xuanzang, as the abbot's only disciple, Jinshan Temple will rely on you from now on."

"Amitabha!" Xuanzang ignored these and just kept reciting the scriptures.

He was adopted by the old abbot since he was a child, who taught him the principles of life and various Buddhist principles. He really had feelings for the abbot in his heart.

But when Guanyin saw this situation, a victorious smile appeared on her lips unconsciously.

the next day.

Guanyin, a foreign traveling monk, presided over the farewell ceremony for the old abbot, and held the abbot's coronation ceremony for Xuanzang before saying goodbye and leaving.

After leaving Jinshan Temple, Guanyin still wanted to know who the quasi-sage Dzogchen was known to in Chang'an City yesterday.

So she took up the flying light and flew directly to a barren mountain outside Chang'an City. This time she transformed into a young Taoist priest and entered Chang'an.

However, after sensing it in Chang'an City, I could no longer sense the aura from yesterday.

However, her trip was not in vain, and she still heard many things worthy of her attention.

First of all, Emperor Li Shimin of the Tang Dynasty announced his retreat, and all government affairs were handed over to Li Chengqian and Li Tai for discussion.

Secondly, all the civil and military officials of the Tang Dynasty became practitioners overnight.

Those with the highest level of cultivation are Xiao Yu, Yan Liben, Changsun Wuji, Fang Xuanling, Du Ruhui, Li Xiaogong, Li Ji, Li Jing and others.

Their cultivation base has basically reached the level of Golden Immortal.

The worst of the rest of the civil and military officials also entered the realm of refining energy and becoming gods, which made Guanyin feel as if his billions of years of worldview had collapsed.

With an attitude of disbelief, she stayed in Chang'an City for another three days, and even personally observed outside the residences of important civil and military officials.

The final result turned out to be true. Not only was it true, but the rumors seemed to be somewhat untrue.

Under Guanyin's investigation, Li Jing's cultivation reached the peak of the Golden Immortal, and he was only a little short of breaking through to the Taiyi Golden Immortal realm.

The key thing is that these civil and military officials have extremely strong foundations, as if they have practiced for thousands of years. As long as they are given more time, they will definitely be able to quickly reach a higher level.

Guanyin was so shocked that her outlook was shattered, and she also realized that something was wrong.

No longer caring about covering up his figure, he directly drove back towards the Western Lingshan Mountain in the Escape.

She was not sure whether Lingshan had received any news about such a big matter, but she had to go back and discuss this matter with the Buddhist people now.

The current Tang Dynasty has far exceeded everyone's expectations, and so many golden immortals appeared in just a few days after the establishment of the Yun Dynasty.

If they really want to go against Buddhism, then Journey to the West may not be as simple as causing trouble. It is very likely that Xuanzang, the protagonist of Journey to the West, will not even be able to get out of Chang'an City.

Just when Guanyin set up the escape light and left, Jiutian Sunu stood behind Li Tai and said coldly:

"Your Highness! Cihang has left Chang'an!"

"Yeah! I understand!" Li Tai nodded indifferently, peeling the walnuts and putting them in his mouth, while saying:

"I hope she can recognize faces, otherwise I wouldn't mind teaching them a lesson in Buddhism."
