Chapter 52 People are in the rivers and lakes

At the intersection of Liaodong, Andong, Zhenxing, Chun 1st Road and Jinshan Street, Jinxiu Huacheng is considered to be the first batch of high-end boutique commercial communities in this beautiful border town in China.

Xu Mo'er, a ballet girl who is about to enter her senior year of high school, is currently nestled in the mint green floral air-conditioned quilt in her princess room. She happily ordered the first episode of "Talent Co., Ltd." as soon as possible.

She has been in a particularly happy mood recently:

First, I received a private message reply from my idol Professor Weng Huaijing's personal whisper account, although it was just five words: "Welcome to Diwu!"

Later, she also received a notification of acceptance of her submission from the program team of "Talent Co., Ltd.", saying that Professor Weng selected her submission at a glance.

And after going through the not too complicated follow-up process, the program team actually paid her a royalties of up to 300,000 Chinese yuan.

This amount of money, even for an art student like Xu Moer, who comes from a good family and grew up wealthy, can be regarded as the first pot of gold earned in life.

But what makes her happiest is not because of these.

The program team specifically stated in the letter that in order to encourage student Xu Moer to continue chasing the light, Professor Weng and Teacher Yan Qing jointly composed a song.

"Professor Weng is waiting for me at the Imperial Dance Academy, and Teacher Yan Qing wants to lend me the program team's practice room to prepare for the exam."

Xu Mo'er adjusted her sleeping position to lying on the velvet pillow. While watching the program, she kicked her legs and cheered: "Oh my god, the Yin family is so happy."

She looked at the screen of her mobile phone that was leaning on the bed in a daze. Outside the screen, Yan Qing was extracting the core concept of light chaser from her own story in a lazy voice, but Professor Weng didn't seem to agree with it.

The next scene was completely beyond Xu Mo'er's expectations. She happily complained: "I only watched the highlight version, and I thought they were going to fight over the phone. The Imperial Capital has such a lot of tricks, and Mo'er wants to go back to the village."

After finishing her rant, Xu Moer smiled again and said to herself: "The special effect of "The provocative general chanting is completed" added to Professor Weng later is too cute!"

She stared at the screen infatuatedly, where Weng Huaijing was playing the electric piano to accompany a short refrain from Yan Qing's phone through the radio waves.

"I can follow you/like a shadow dreamwalking after the light/I can wait at this intersection/no matter whether you will pass by/every time I raise my head for you/even tears feel free"

"The demo is very nice. It was written by me. No, I should say...dedicated to all the children who have been working hard to chase their dreams since childhood."

Tears welled up in Xu Moer's red eyes. She reached out to download the song from Whispering Music, but hesitated to let go of Weng Huaijing, who was sitting on the sofa reading a manuscript.

Seeing the beautiful Professor Weng Huaijing sharing her empathetic experience with the camera after reading her story, Xu Moer choked with tears and whispered:

"I didn't expect that Professor Weng, who had won so many professional honors while studying in New York and was so perfect and proud, would also have moments of vulnerability."

The next scene is: Weng Huaijing, wearing training uniform, holding on to the dance bar that he is familiar with, leading twenty or thirty students to practice basic skills seriously.

Hidden behind the scenes, Shao Qing's long-sleeved dance skills and pulling the strings led the program team to capture many beautiful scenes at the Imperial Dance Academy:

Professor Weng was carrying a medium-sized Lu family pop in court handbag and hurriedly passed by a large rain flower stone "Dancer's Cradle" and entered the cultural teaching building.

In the packed ladder-shaped classroom of Imperial Dance Academy, Weng Huaijing held a lesson plan and stood upright in front of the podium. Her teaching style was a bit precious, but every word was pure and sincere teaching.

In the ballet training room of the Imperial City Dance Academy, Weng Huaijing transformed into a noble and cool white swan and danced gracefully to the accompaniment of the "Four Little Swans Waltz" that Xu Mo'er specially mentioned.

He was doing a very difficult "whip-whip turn" in circles.

Under the starry night, in an empty piano room, Weng Huaijing sat in front of the piano, playing and singing by herself, practicing repeatedly to polish her interpretation of the song.

In the practice room of "Talent Co., Ltd.", accompanied by Schubert's heart-wrenching "Serenade", excerpts from "La Bayadere" were performed in dressage, just like a girl's rebirth.

These shots were perfectly mixed and edited in post-production to create the instant sense of a fashion blockbuster.

The next step finally came to the practice clip where the musicians argued about each other in the edited version.

Without the deliberate editing out of context, the chatter between the bassist and the guitarist is more like a relaxing moment between playmates.

Although Yan Qing and Weng Huaijing communicated very little, they cooperated with each other quite well.

The program has never released the full version of "Light Chaser". It has always been a small section, a small section squeezed out, but each lyric is closely linked to the core of Xu Moer's submission, telling the story of a small light chaser.

Tao Lai.

Suddenly, the lights on the stage on the screen were all dim, and a beam of light slowly lit up, chasing Weng Huaijing and slowly standing in the center of the stage.

She was wearing a pure white, mid-length classical ballet costume embellished with lace and sequins like stars. She stood on the stage holding a microphone, waiting for the performance to begin.

The narration added later made Xu Moer’s eyes red again:

A deep bass said contemptuously: "Why do you have such a distant dream?"

Weng Huaijing's cold and firm narration: "Because it has always been shining in front of my eyes!"

"Xu Mo'er, this is the admission notice from the High School Affiliated to Huadu Dance Academy. I can finally swim out of the Andong creek to see the outside world. See you again in the world. Oh, I forgot that the judges and teachers said you have average talent.

,hehe."

"Three minutes on the stage and ten years in the practice room. I never thought that your ordinary dance class, Anton, could actually produce a dancer like Xu Mo'er who has failed repeatedly. I think I can earn a lot of money from training fees."

"Xu Mo'er, she's a nice girl and has a clear position. She didn't choose the two pearls of dance halls in Shanghai and Huadu as her choice. She just took the exam at the declining Imperial Capital Dance Hall. She has no conflict with you, so why target her?

?”

"A ballet girl with mediocre talent will have a hard time chasing the spotlight. Obviously only people with the same experience can empathize with this. Why would Professor Weng understand?"

Thinking of the many cynicisms she heard when she failed repeatedly, a sentence suddenly struck her heart. Xu Moer, who pursed her lips, finally couldn't suppress her emotions and burst into tears.

…………

Coincidentally, Shi Yufan, a well-known professional music critic in the rap music circle who has been hanging out in Star City in southern Hunan for many years, also received a notification of acceptance from the program team and a paid royalties of 300,000 yuan.

Of course, Shi Yufan's mentality is fundamentally different from Xu Moer's - first of all, Yan Qing did not reply to the private message.

Secondly, this money can only be regarded as a decent amount of unexpected blessings to him.

What Shi Fanyu is even more curious about is that this few words he wrote down while drunk was chosen by Yan Qing as the source of creativity for his first issue, and what kind of rap work he will eventually output in the show.

"I don't quite understand what Yan Qing is trying to express in that verse. Maybe he just wants to have fun? Isn't it great to be paid to be able to make a name for yourself with his vicious tongue?"

Out of this consideration, he also chose to watch the program on demand as soon as possible.

As the progress bar progressed ruthlessly, after Weng Huaijing's plot reached the performance stage, the screen turned and returned to the manuscript reading and sharing meeting.

When it was Yan Qing's turn to read the manuscript, his voice contained a lot of emotions, and even his clear eyes occasionally showed a few hints of regret.

"You are really a good actor. I drank a few kilograms of horse urine and wrote the manuscript. Is it really so sad and regretful? I am not tired of eating, drinking, having fun and exploring."

Shi Yufan rolled his eyes at the screen and gestured with his middle finger.

But when the scene switched to the music workstation behind the stage on the first floor, it was completely beyond his expectation. Yan Qing showed off her excellent rap skills.

Sitting behind the music workstation, Yan Qing explained his understanding of rap and his beat production ideas to the camera in detail, while skillfully playing the midi keyboard and inputting various musical instruments and harmony tracks.

"I sample myself? And with such a cool operation, I am indeed Hong Soo-hyun, I really belong to you!"

Shi Yufan rubbed his eyes and looked at the screen in disbelief:

Yan Qing called for a little girl from outside the camera to temporarily record two Cantonese vocals for him, and mixed them with the harmonies provided by the virtual instruments into two short sampling tracks.

He used other materials and these two short sections to create a beat with a distinctive style from scratch.

Yan Qing did not use the commonly used timpani/snare drum as the "boom-bap" sound in the beat, but cleverly mixed it with distorted trumpet sounds, electronic bass drum sounds, and hithat (cymbal scratches).

It's a beat that has a strong BGM style from the martial arts TV series Showdown in the old days.

"It's really a saucy operation one after another. You are carrying Pinru's wardrobe. You can only see how the verse and flow are. If you are a slut in the world, how can you not get stabbed?"

Shi Yufan is knowledgeable. After listening to this beat, he was full of curiosity about Yan Qing, who was writing like flying in the show.

"What kind of lyrics can he fill in? Hurry up! Qiuli Gao! The knives are all sharpened!"

Director Liu Mingren's editing ideas coincided with his. The demo and joint training scenes in the later part of "Li Sao" were much shorter than those in "Light Chaser", and they almost passed by in a flash.

Soon Yan Qing stood on the stage wearing a hood and holding a microphone.

The performance begins:

Accompanied by the loud and clear trumpet lead in the beat, a strong BGM style of the martial arts TV series Showdown from the old era hits us head on, mixed with a waxy girl's voice: "one world one yim".

Shi Yufan gradually got used to Yan Qing's endless sexy moves, curled his lips and muttered: "The beat producer has watermarked his voice, and his posture is quite that of a rapper."

On the stage, Yan Qing, who was wearing a hood and with his head lowered, leaned over and stared at the camera. He held the microphone upside down with his right hand to catch the first hitat sound of the beat. He waved the classic rapper gesture with his left hand and roared in a deep voice:

"They criticize you

They say you are extreme

They blame the origin of this music

They say you are corrupt

Even if no one is rehabilitated

you are still my other half

babe

go for you

Go through three levels for you

Accompany you

Accompany you through the sword mountain"

Yan Qing's rhythmic flow is full of anger, and the lyrics and beat perfectly fit the characteristics of underground rap that Shi Yufan misses in his manuscript.

Suddenly Shi Yufan remembered what he had been deeply addicted to when he first came into contact with rap, what he could only hear from whiteboard cassettes, those passionate things - underground rap! Rivers and lakes flow!

For a moment, Shi Yufan couldn't help but want to raise his right hand like Jiang Tang on the screen, and follow the flow of Yan Qing's flow and start to move up and down together.

"As this person is getting older, he is prone to auditory hallucinations. I really need to be more reserved. After all, you can gain popularity only by being a black fan!"

Shi Yufan resisted the urge and forcibly retracted his half-raised hand. He nodded with a rather reserved expression and tapped the beat gently.

A heavily distorted Cantonese female voice hooked into the accompaniment:

"The wind is blowing strong/people are in the rivers and lakes/seeing all kinds of things"
