Chapter six hundred and fiftieth IX thunder and rain

The next day, the sky was getting brighter.

After lighting fires and making meals in the Dalong military camp, Dalong soldiers and horses, amidst the rumbling war drums and following the horn of charge, began to attack Muzhou City again.

As expected by Wan Liang and Yun Chong, when the sun was in the middle of the day, three hundred thousand troops broke through the city gate at the same time, scaled the city wall, and began to encircle and suppress the Yunshan Guards of Muzhou City.

Shortly afterwards, Dalong's soldiers and horses, who failed to persuade them to surrender again, could only use their weapons to start purging Muzhou City.

Ji Muhu, like the Songzhou garrison Hu Luda, led the remaining soldiers under his command and fought fiercely with Dalong's soldiers and horses.

Finally, surrounded by dragon sword and shield soldiers, he was struck with several knives and died of exhaustion.

The remaining Yunshan Guards refused to surrender and became dead souls under the purge of Dalong's soldiers and horses.

Like the Songzhou garrison, all the tens of thousands of Muzhou garrison were killed on the city wall, and no one survived.

Wan Mingliang and the two men, who sighed and ordered the three armies to bury the Jin defenders, were like Yunyang. While writing the battle report, they clicked on the next result and started to attack the next city, Liaozhou.

The 25th and 26th of the second year of Dalong Yongping were two days in succession.

Two of the twelve cities on the frontier of the Kingdom of Jin, Songzhou and Muzhou, fell to Dalong's iron cavalry one after another.

Dalong's two armies spent a day repairing in the two cities, and then began their majestic crusade to march north.

The borderland between Xingzhou of the Jin Kingdom and the Dala tribe of the Turks.

Hu Yanyu, the Rongwei King of the Turks, led a hundred thousand Turkic cavalry and was rushing non-stop towards Xingzhou of the Kingdom of Jin.

“Report to your lord, I have scouted all the way to the outside of Xingzhou City and found no enemy. Xingzhou City of the Jin Kingdom has not been attacked by Dalong soldiers and horses.”

“Calling, order the three armies to repair on the spot!”

"The prince has an order, and the three armies are ordered to repair on the spot."

Hu Yanyu allowed the soldiers and horses behind him to circle around to both sides and slowly slow down. He took out a map from the saddle on the horse's back and started to read it.

After a long time, Hu Yanyu looked at the scouts with a thoughtful look in his eyes.

“Have you investigated the fifty-mile radius of Xingzhou City? Is there any trace of an enemy ambush?”

“Back to your lord, General Luerta has led a hundred scouts to conduct a carpet reconnaissance of the dangerous places around Xingzhou. I can’t say whether there are ambushes at this time.

As far as I’m concerned, no ambush has been discovered yet!”

“Continue the investigation and don’t let go of any clues. According to the habits of Dalong soldiers and horses, the quieter the place, the more murderous intent is hidden.

They could obviously go directly to Shizhou, and then send their troops north to capture the capital of the Jin Kingdom. However, they took a detour to Songzhou, Muzhou, and Xingzhou, which are adjacent to our Turks, and began to attack the city. They must have a plan.

Tell the scout brothers ahead that you must not take it lightly and be ambushed by the dragon's troops."

“I have the order! I resign from my humble position!”

The eagle-shooting scout carried a long bow on his back and rode away again. Hu Yanyu put away the map in his hand and looked at the general wearing a wild goose feather on his head.

 “General Zhebieshu.”

“The general is here, please give orders from your Majesty.”

“Based on my understanding of General Dalong, there must be monsters when things go awry. Xingzhou may seem calm, but there is a high probability that there is boundless murderous intent hidden there.

Maybe the dragon's troops are waiting for us to take the bait.

Just in case, you led 70,000 troops on a long journey to Jinzhou and stationed themselves in the Kingdom of Jin. You divided your troops into two groups again on the first line of the sky, and rushed all the way to Jizhou and all the way to Liaozhou.

Once you encounter the dragon's soldiers and horses, remember not to fight forcefully, but fight in a roundabout way to contain the dragon's soldiers and horses from attacking the Jin Kingdom's city.

Remember, under no circumstances are you allowed to garrison the city and join forces with Jin's friendly forces to defend the city. Otherwise, the advantage of our Turkic cavalry will be lost.

Dalong soldiers and horses are mighty, with millions of troops, and you can't play much role in the defense of entering the city.

Zhebieshu did not follow Hu Yanyu’s order, but looked at Hu Yanyu worriedly.

"Your Majesty, the general will take away 70,000 tribesmen at the end. You only have 30,000 tribesmen here. If there is an ambush by Dalong's troops in Xingzhou, how can you be their opponent with only 30,000 cavalry?"

"Please forgive me for being rude and not daring to obey my orders."

“General Zhebieshu, I know your good intentions, but this war is related to the safety and prosperity of our Turks, so we must not act on impulse.

The king asked you to use troops like this after careful consideration.

This king is not a fool. Once he encounters a dragon ambush, he will definitely not confront them head-on.

They are not as familiar with the boundary of Xingzhou as we are. I can take advantage of the geographical advantage to tie up part of their troops and delay the siege process of Dalong's troops.

Buy time for the counterattack from Jin Guo's two commanders, Wanyan Chiezha and his younger sister, Khan.

You don’t need to say any more, just do what you’re told!”

“My lord, are you sure you are safe?”

“Do I look like the kind of person who would die in vain?”

"This will be your order at the end, and your Majesty will take it seriously."

The 100,000-strong army led by Hu Yanyu divided into two groups and stationed in the Kingdom of Jin under his command.

Hu Yanyu took out the map in his arms again, took a look at it, and sighed silently.

“Little sister, little sister, you have to hurry up, big brother won’t be able to resist you for a long time,”

Hu Yanyu breathed a sigh of relief, put away the map and galloped to attack: "The remaining troops obeyed the order and rushed to Xingzhou in batches of a thousand people. They were not allowed to gather together to avoid encountering an ambush and being surrounded by the army."

 “We have the order!”

 A half-day trek.

The three thousand-man cavalry troops on the left under Hu Yanyu had an unfortunate encounter with the 300,000 troops ambushed by Nangong Ye and Lu Chengjie in Xingzhou.

Two of the cavalry teams of 1,000 people were chased and intercepted by the dragon cavalry. After more than half of them were killed or wounded, they escaped from the encirclement by running all the way.

Hu Yanyu learned about this incident, and although he suffered heavy losses, he couldn't help but feel happy.

Fortunately, I was careful enough to disperse my troops, otherwise I am afraid that I and the 30,000 cavalry would all be killed in Xingzhou.

The encounter between Huyanyu and Xingzhou Dalong's ambushed soldiers and horses caused the Northern Expedition to break out. War broke out throughout the Kingdom of Jin. The soldiers and horses of the Three Kingdoms began a protracted war in the Kingdom of Jin.

For one and a half months, dozens of large and small state capitals south of Hezhou in the Kingdom of Jin have been filled with the spirit of war and iron horses.

A battle report also flew towards Yingzhou Bingjian Palace like snowflakes.

Yingzhou Palace, Liu Mingzhi's study was lit with more than ten candles, illuminating the study as brightly as day.

Ren Qingrui huddled in the silk quilt and glanced at the Liu Mingzhi brothers who showed no intention of resting at the desk. She huddled in the bed with a helpless face and controlled herself to fall into a dream.

“Report, Jizhou battle report.”

Song Qing directly took the battle report from Liu Mingzhi's personal soldiers and placed it in front of Liu Mingzhi. Ren Qingrui, who had just fallen asleep, opened her eyes again because of the shouts of her personal guards.

He sat up with a sad expression, put on his embroidered shoes and walked towards the screen.

This day in and day out does not allow anyone to have a rest.

It’s fine to be placed under house arrest, but you’re not even allowed to sleep and have a good rest?

There were dozens of battle reports in front of Liu Mingzhi. After receiving the new battle report from Song Qing, Liu Mingzhi opened it and read it for a long time under the light.

Looking at the contents of the battle report, Liu Mingzhi frowned slightly and handed it to Song Qing with no trace of sadness or joy.

“Jizhou can be completely conquered in three days!”

Song Qing took the battle report, read its contents, and let out a sigh of relief.

"Forty-seven days have passed, and good news has come one after another. It seems that this time my dragon will dominate the world, and it will be just around the corner."

Liu Mingzhi looked at Song Qing with a look of joy on his eyebrows. He stood up and walked to the window and stopped. He looked at the moonlight outside the window and was silent for a long time.

 “That’s not right!”

Song Qing subconsciously looked at Liu Dashao: "Huh? What's wrong?"

“Despite the good news, the number of enemies the Northern Expeditionary Army destroyed was only small groups of enemies.

It can be seen that there are not many real elites in the two countries yet.

No matter how you look at it, it sounds a bit like loud thunder and small raindrops.

For about a month and a half, the army was restrained south of Hezhou by the troops of the two countries.

It seems that we have underestimated the number of troops and horses in the two countries.

Forget it, let’s sort out this half-month battle report and submit it to the court!”

“Okay, I’ll sort it out right now!”

Song Qing was hurriedly sorting out the dozens of battle reports on his desk. Liu Mingzhi lowered his head and took out a purple jade ring from his arms and held it tightly in his hand.

Yue'er, oh Yue'er, don't forget what dad told you.

“Little Liu Song wants to see the young master!”

Liu Mingzhi carefully put away the ring in his hand and turned to look at the door: "Come in!"

“Young Master, a message has been sent from the capital, Your Majesty has summoned you to come to the capital immediately!”

Liu Mingzhi frowned, took the bamboo tube handed over by Liu Song, and looked through it in front of the candlelight.

After a while, Liu Mingzhi put away the note and walked thoughtfully in the room.

Song Qing, who was sorting out the battle report, also stopped and followed Young Master Liu closely with his eyes.

Liu Mingzhi stopped and looked at Song Qing.

“Your Majesty urgently summoned me to the capital. Could it be that something else happened in the capital?”

Song Qing shook his head in confusion: "You are stationed in Northern Xinjiang, which is an important hub for sorting out battle reports. Is there anything more important at this juncture than the Northern Expedition?"

Liu Mingzhi closed his eyes and thought for a long time, then slowly opened his eyes.

“No matter what the reason is, I’ll hurry up and go to Beijing first, and I’ll leave the battle report to you!”
