0251 Poetry improvement movement

Because of what happened just now, the relationship between the three of them has become much closer, and the atmosphere has become more relaxed.

The three of them are all well-informed people, and they talk about all kinds of topics.

No matter what topic one person talks about, the other two people can keep up with the rhythm, and a sense of confidant arises for a while.

Of course, Chen Jingke spoke restrainedly, only showing an understanding that was in line with the level of the Tang Dynasty. At most, he introduced a little new ideas, for fear of frightening the other two people by saying too much.

But even so, both Li Chengqian and Li Chengqian were shocked.

And through chatting, he also judged that Li Chengqian and Du He were both people with great ambitions, and it was not an exaggeration to call them heroes of the times.

The more this happened, the more he regretted the encounter between the two of them in the previous life, and hoped that there would be a good outcome in this life.

The topic somehow shifted to literature. The two of them praised Chen Jingke's couplets, and the one with the highest praise was "Jia Sheng".

They intentionally skipped the content and only talked about the format and style of the poem.

Li Chengqian even praised highly: "This poem has the atmosphere of starting a family. I wonder if Jing Ke has any other good works?"

Chen Jingke thought to himself that his grandson Wugu's asthma was under control and he would probably have no problem living to be sixty or seventy years old.

As long as she is here, Li Chengqian's position as crown prince should be as secure as a mountain, so why not sell him one?

Thinking of this, he said: "Don't hide it from Da Lang, this is indeed a new poetry style, with mature metrical requirements."

Li Chengqian said in surprise: "Oh? I wonder if I can see him for advice."

Du He was also very curious.

Chen Jingke did not directly talk about the poetry, but first talked about history: "Since the Yongjia Rebellion, China has been plunged into war, and the Han family is no longer as strong as it was in the past..."

"This situation is reflected in literature, that is, its works are thin and narrow, excessively pursue the gorgeousness of words, but lack the inherent sustenance of poetry, and the literary world is filled with flashy and extravagant writing styles..."

"We, the Tang Dynasty, overcame all obstacles and reestablished the state of the country, so that the Han Dynasty could be revived... The new dynasty and the new atmosphere should also eliminate this decadent sound in literature..."

"Advocating elegance and prosperity, reviving the style of the Han and Wei dynasties... The poems of the Tang Dynasty are full of variety, powerful and broad, creating a new world of their own..."

"Only in this way can we be worthy of the prosperous age of the Tang Dynasty."

Li Chengqian was very excited when he heard it. However, he was not carried away by a few words, but said rationally:

"It's easier said than done. Qi and Liang poetic styles have been passed down for hundreds of years and have far-reaching influence. How can we say that innovation can change it?"

Du He also echoed: "Yes, if there are no works that can convince everyone, readers will not respond."

Chen Jingke said confidently: "Why not? If there is one song "Jia Sheng", there will be a second, third and tenth song..."

"We not only want to change the overwhelming sound of Qi and Liang poetry, but also develop more poetic styles based on it..."

"In terms of poetic style, we must not only inherit the five characters and seven words of our predecessors, but also develop our own quatrains and rhymed verses on this basis..."

"In terms of poetic style, we should have a landscape pastoral poem like 'There are no people in the empty mountain, but you can hear people's voices. Return to the deep forest and shine on the moss again.'"

"There must be frontier poems like 'The bright moon of the Qin Dynasty passed the Han Dynasty, and the people who marched thousands of miles have not yet returned. But the flying generals of Dragon City are here, and Hu Ma is not taught to cross the Yin Mountains'."

"There must be romantic poems like 'The sun is shining on the incense burner and the purple smoke is rising, and the waterfall hanging in front of the river can be seen in the distance. The water is flying down three thousand feet, and it is suspected that the Milky Way is falling in the sky.'"

"There will also be "The wind is strong and the sky is high, the apes are howling in mourning, the white birds are flying back from the clear sand in Zhugistan. The boundless falling trees are rustling, and the endless Yangtze River is rolling in."

"Thousands of miles away, I am always a guest in the sad autumn, and I am alone on the stage after being sick for a hundred years. I hate the frost on my temples due to hardship, and my wine glass is stained when it is new." This is a realistic poem.

"..."

Li Chengqian and Du He were stunned when they heard this, as if they had seen a ghost. Chen Jingke not only pointed out the way, but also gave a living example by opening his mouth.

Four poems, four poems in total, each one is so classic.

Chen Jingke was very satisfied with the attitude of the two people. He picked up the tea cup and moistened his throat, and said proudly: "How is it? Is it enough to start a poetry improvement activity?"

Li Chengqian said excitedly: "That's enough, that's enough. Jing Ke is really the most talented poet I have ever seen, and he writes masterpieces that have been handed down from generation to generation..."

Du He was also very excited.

Chen Jingke smiled and shook his head: "Which of these poems do you think I can write?"

"Including the previous poem by Jia Sheng, it was actually written by the elders in the family. I just used it to bluff people."

Li Chengqian was not surprised, nor did he look down on Chen Jingke because of it, but praised: "Jing Ke is really trustworthy."

"The elders in your family are thought to be dead. If you don't tell me, who in the world will know that these poems were not written by you? But you didn't. This kind of mind is admirable."

It was the first time that Du He heard the information about Chen Jingke's life experience, but he was very sensible and did not ask any more questions. Instead, he said with admiration:

"Yes, in the face of such a masterpiece, I dare not say that I will be able to resist the temptation. Jing Ke's noble character is impressive."

Receiving such sincere praise, Chen Jingke's joy far exceeded the sense of accomplishment brought by copying poems. He said modestly: "You two are over-praising me, but you just did your duty."

He then revealed his real plan: "Improvement of poetry requires a person with status to preside over it. I wonder if Dalang is interested?"

Li Chengqian said in surprise: "Me? This..."

Chen Jingke smiled and said: "Yes, Dalang is the prince of the Tang Dynasty and has great literary talent. It is most suitable for him to preside over this matter."

Du He immediately said: "Your Highness, I think what Jing Ke said is true."

Naturally, Li Chengqian wanted to take on this job very much. It was a fitting title. After completing this task, his position as prince would be more stable, and it would also attract many scholars to apply.

But there was only a slight struggle in his expression, and he shook his head and said: "I understand Jing Ke's kindness, but this matter is important and I need to ask for permission before I can make a decision."

"Your Highness..." Du He wanted to persuade him again.

Li Chengqian waved his hand to stop him and said: "Qingquan doesn't need to say anything, I have my own sense of discretion in this matter."

"Hey." Du He could only sigh helplessly and said nothing more.

Chen Jingke admired Li Chengqian's decision very much, which showed that his mind was still clear. He knew what should be done and what could only be done with the emperor's permission.

"Da Lang, go and ask for instructions. I think His Majesty will not object. Regarding the new poetry style, I have written some experience before. You can just ask someone to go to Zixiao Temple to pick it up."

"Should Dalang know about "Wang Yue Tan", right? I will publicize this matter for Dalang above then."

Li Chengqian said gratefully: "Then I will thank Jing Ke first. If this matter comes to pass, I will not forget your help today."

What Chen Jingke wanted was this effect, and he said humbly: "Da Lang's words are serious. I do this because I hope that the knowledge of the elders in the family can be promoted in the world."

Even so, everyone knew that his move was to give Li Chengqian credit for his goodwill.

So Li Chengqian became even more enthusiastic, and the three of them talked about it until Chen Jingke resigned in the afternoon.

When waiting to go out, Du He also hinted in a subtle way that he should not forget the agreement between the two of them.
