"Hey, little master, you're here." As soon as he saw Sun Fucai, he bowed and saluted.
"Hello, Eunuch Sun. I haven't seen you for a few days and you have become a lot more mellow. It seems that you are living a good life." Chen Jingke said politely.
"Master, please come this way." Sun Fucai said while leading the way: "Isn't it thanks to Master, that the empress is in good health, and we slaves will also enjoy the blessing."
Chen Jingke didn't object to this. He remembered that when he first came to Daxing Palace, the whole palace was full of depression, and even laughing became a sin.
Ever since Changsun Wujia's condition improved, the weather has cleared up after the rain. Most of the people I met were chatting and laughing, and some took turns playing in some remote corners.
As he walked, he realized something was wrong and frowned: "Do you always bow like this when receiving people?"
Sun Fucai raised his eyebrows and said proudly: "How is it possible? I am the eunuch in charge of your Majesty's side. If I bend my back to everyone, I will lose my Majesty's face."
He immediately said humbly: "My little master is different. You are my queen's savior... my nephew, you are the benefactor of all our slaves. We are deeply grateful to these two masters."
Chen Jingke felt quite emotional in his heart and said: "You are also people who know how to repay kindness. Your Majesty will definitely be very pleased to know this, but there is no need to bend down in front of me."
Sun Fucai said: "You don't have to worry about the little master. We are too weak to repay the two masters. We can only express our gratitude in this way."
Chen Jingke said bluntly: "I prefer people to straighten their backs and talk to me. What kind of words do good people like to talk with their backs hunched over every day?"
Sun Fucai was stunned for a moment, suddenly turned his head to the side, raised his sleeves to wipe his eyes and said: "Okay, why are you blinded by the wind? Little Master, let's go over quickly, don't keep the queen waiting."
The waist did not straighten up, but bent even lower.
Chen Jingke was helpless, sighing in his heart that people cannot stand upright under the pressure of class.
All the way to the garden, Changsun Wugu was sitting in the pavilion writing and drawing. Chengyang, Jinyang, Xincheng and a seven or eight-year-old girl were playing in the garden.
Princess Chengyang, who had the sharpest eyes, was the first to spot him. She immediately left her playmates and ran over, saying: "Brother, come on."
Before he could be happy, she added another sentence: "Are you here to tell me about Journey to the West?"
The smile on Chen Jingke's face suddenly froze, and at the same time he kept scolding himself in his heart. He deserves it, he deserves it, he deserves it, this is the first time, why do he still have expectations for this heartless guy.
Princess Jinyang also discovered him, ran over with her calves clicking, raised the pinpo fruit in her hand that was full of tooth marks, and said: "Brother, eat the fruit."
(Pinpoguo is the name given to apples in the Tang Dynasty. Later, the word "po" was removed and became Pinguo, and then it became apple. For the convenience of reading, we will refer to it as apples from now on.)
Chen Jingke was so relieved that he bent down to pick her up and hold her in his arms: "Our third wife is still the most sensible."
Princess Jinyang's eyes narrowed with joy, she raised the apple to his mouth and said, "Eat."
Chen Jingke opened his mouth violently, and the little girl's eyes suddenly widened. She looked at his bloody mouth and then at the apple in his hand, as if he was thinking about whether to regret it or not.
After a fierce struggle, the apple was finally brought to his mouth, but his eyes were fixed on him.
Chen Jingke felt funny in his heart. He took a small bite under the horrified look of the little girl, and kept smacking his lips: "Well, it's delicious."
The little girl let out a long breath, then giggled.
"Humph." Princess Chengyang was very dissatisfied, kicked him in the leg, turned around and ran to Changsun Wugou and said: "Mom, brother, he bullied me."
Changsun Wugou put down the pen in his hand. Naturally, she saw everything just now and said with a smile: "Really? Later, my mother will help you get revenge and let him tell you a day's journey to the west."
Princess Chengyang clapped her hands and said, "Okay, okay."
Changsun Wugao shook his head and laughed. She and Li Shimin were so smart, how could they have such a one-sided child?
At this time, Chen Jingke also walked in with Princess Jinyang in his arms and said, "Hello, aunt, I'd like to say hello to you." He didn't even raise his hand, showing no signs of saluting.
"Pfft!" But the seven or eight-year-old girl next to him burst out laughing.
Chen Jingke looked at her doubtfully, who is this girl? It should not be ordinary people who can play here.
The girl was quite courageous. Seeing that Chen Jingke noticed her, she took the initiative and said, "Are you the nephew that my bride recognized, the disciple of Master Sun?"
Chen Jingke first put down Jinyang who was struggling in his arms, and then said: "I am the one who takes the liberty to ask, who is your wife?"
Changsun Wugao interjected with a smile: "She is your Majesty's Princess Li Shu of Gaoyang. She has grown up under my knees since she was a child. I was seriously ill a few days ago and it was inconvenient to take care of her, so I sent her to Wei Zhaorong Palace for temporary stay. I just stayed there a few days ago.
Bring it back."
After speaking, he said to Princess Gaoyang: "I haven't seen your brother soon."
Princess Gao Yang curled her lips, felt slightly blessed and said, "I've met my brother."
That look of reluctance can be seen even by a blind person.
The eldest grandson Wugou said helplessly: "Sooner or later, you will suffer a big loss with your temper."
Princess Gaoyang raised her head and said: "As long as my mother is here, let me see who dares to bully me."
Chen Jingke suddenly realized that this was the famous Princess Gaoyang. It turned out that she was raised by her eldest grandson Wugou. No wonder Li Shimin doted on her so much in his previous life.
But he is indeed quite strong-tempered, no wonder he dares to rebel.
She is best known for her love story with the monk Bianji, and I believe most people know her because of this incident.
But the authenticity of this matter is doubtful, and there are big problems.
The first doubt is that there is no record of the affair between the two in any of the existing ancient books of the Tang Dynasty. How did Ouyang Xiu know about this matter hundreds of years later and write it down in the history books? Where did his historical data come from?
?
The second doubtful point is that Xu Jingzong mentioned Bianji in his preface to "Yogi Di Lun", which Li Shimin personally reviewed.
Xu Jingzong is a villain with no integrity at all. If there was really a case of an affair between the princess and Bianji, would he dare to write Bianji's name in the preface?
Will Li Shimin allow the name of Monk Hua, who had an affair with his daughter, to appear in the books he focuses on promoting?
Daoxuan, the founder of the Vinaya Sect, also recognized Bianji very much. If he were a monk who had an affair and broke the precepts, would Daoxuan still praise him so much?
The third doubt is that Fang Xuanling was seriously ill in his later years and it was inconvenient to travel. Only Princess Gaoyang in their family could freely enter and leave the palace, and Princess Gaoyang did become a sounding board.
Fang Xuanling would ask her to convey any thoughts to Li Shimin, and Li Shimin would ask Fang Xuanling through her if he had any questions.
If she really cheated on her, how shameless would Fang Xuanling and Li Shimin be, and how could they still pass the news through her?
Of course, the authenticity of this matter cannot be completely denied. After so many turmoils from the early Tang Dynasty to the present, it is not impossible that some information has been lost.
It can only be said that the fog of time has obscured the reality of history. Until there is more evidence, we can only believe in the records in the New Tang Book.
Questioning is not to deny official historical records, but to make reasonable speculations on some contradictions and restore the true history as much as possible.
But for Chen Jingke, the situation is different. Before time travel, he could read this record as gossip, but after time travel, he had to pay some attention to it.
