0089 marriage

After Chen Jingke left, Li Shimin asked Chengyang to take Jinyang out to play, and they were the only couple left in the room.

He then said seriously: "Are you joking just now or do you really mean it?"

Changsun Wugou knew what he was talking about, so he nodded and said, "That's what I thought."

Li Shimin said angrily: "He is just a brat with unknown origins. Why?"

"Because of his medical skills and because the royal family needs him." Changsun Wugao said seriously:

"He is a descendant of Chen Yanggong who lived in Jiyang County for generations after Emperor Shun. His ancestors lived in seclusion with their families to avoid the war. How can it be said that his origins are unknown."

"And he has shown extraordinary knowledge. He will become a great master in the future and has the qualifications of a princess."

Li Shimin was speechless for a moment, and then he said after a while: "Then there's no need for Xiao Sizi."

The eldest grandson Wugou said: "It is related to the safety of the royal family. Except for my own daughter, I will not rest assured if any princess is promised to him."

Li Shimin could understand her thoughts. Of course, using his biological daughter for marriage would make people feel at ease.

"Of my four daughters, Li Zhi is already married, Ying'er was promised to Du He by you, Yin'er is only one year old, and only little Sizi is the most suitable." Changsun Wugao continued:

"She also inherited the disease from both of us, which is even more dangerous. It will be much better with Jing Ke taking care of her, so I don't have to worry so much."

Li Shimin had been persuaded, but he still said unwillingly: "Xiao Sizi is only four years old after the Chinese New Year, and he will have at least six years to get married. He is already eleven years old, can he wait for so many years?"

"That's not up to him." Changsun Wugou understood what he was thinking, but he just couldn't let go of his daughter, so he said a little funny:

"His parents are no longer here, so my aunt will naturally take the decision on marriage matters. I won't say anything to see who dares to marry him."

Li Shimin said: "Where is Zhenren Sun?"

The eldest grandson Wugou said: "He is the head of two sects. Sun Zhenren can make the decision on the Sun family, but I must make the decision on the Chen family."

Li Shimin said a little irritably: "Okay, okay, you have a point, let it go as you go, I don't care."

After saying that, he got up and left the room angrily, walked to the door and said to Princess Jinyang who was playing in the courtyard: "Little Sizi, come give Ye Ye a hug."

Changsun Wuguo shook his head and laughed.

The marriage is just a plan at the moment and there is no rush. We will wait and see Chen Jingke's performance in a few years. Xiao Sizi is her daughter, how could she decide her life-long event so hastily?

After Chen Jingke returned to Zixiao Temple, he immediately found Sun Simiao and told him what happened in the palace and Li Shimin's suggestions.

Sun Simiao nodded and said: "Your Majesty is indeed wise. I will write a letter to invite three fellow Taoists to come to Zixiao to observe and talk about it."

Chen Jingke said: "The end of the year is coming soon. Master Xihua and Master Tian are both in Beijing, so it is convenient to travel there. It's just that Master Pan is said to be practicing Taoism in Shuangquan Ridge of Songyang, so it may not be convenient for him to come here."

Sun Simiao said: "How can people from outside the country do so many worldly things? He will come when he receives the letter. If you are not at ease, just send the Taishang's induction chapter together. If you don't believe it, he will not come."

"Tai Shang Ying Pian" first appeared in the Song Dynasty. There is no previous record. It can be considered that it was written during the Song Dynasty, and the author is unknown.

The content is that the Supreme Being urges people to do good deeds: this will move others' feelings, and they will respond to this. If good and evil move heaven and earth, there will be retribution.

To put it in layman's terms, there are gods at the top of your head. Good deeds will be rewarded with good deeds and evil deeds will be punished with evil deeds. It's not that the time has not yet come for you to repay.

The whole book has only 1,500 words, but its influence is far-reaching. It is called the best book in ancient and modern times and is one of the Taoist classics.

Chen Jingke read it many times in his previous life. Although he could not recite it completely, he still remembered the general content.

After learning Taoist knowledge from Sun Simiao for so long, and also learning to write classical Chinese, there is no problem in rewriting "Tai Shang Ying Pian" in my own language.

The reason why he wrote "Tai Shang Inspiration Chapter" was also for Journey to the West. In this book, Lao Tzu gave his first public sermon on this content.

If Master Pan saw this Taoist scripture, he would probably want to fly over with wings.

After delivering the letter, Chen Jingke came to the outer courtyard.

The children who originally roamed around the courtyard have disappeared. They were not sent to work in workshops, but to schools. The two sisters Yilian and Yihe, who were educated and literate, became the children's nannies and teachers.

I first went to the classroom to take a look, and heard the familiar sound of reading in the distance. He didn't disturb everyone, just took a look from a distance and left.

When he came to the printing shop, he found Tian Dachun and others and asked, "How is the research on movable type printing going?"

Tian Dachun quickly replied: "To tell you the truth, we have tried clay movable type, wooden movable type, lead movable type and copper movable type, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages."

"Mud movable type has the lowest cost, but it is fragile and easy to wear. Wooden movable type is not high in cost and is strong, but it is easily deformed when exposed to water. Copper type has the best quality, but is too expensive."

"Lead movable type is affordable, strong, wear-resistant, does not deform, and can be reused many times. It is the most suitable material for type blocks. The disadvantage is that it is not easy to ink."

In fact, Chen Jingke already knew these answers, and they were recorded in the history books of his previous life.

The reason why I didn't tell the craftsmen directly was mainly to mobilize their enthusiasm. Sometimes only by seeing and studying in person can I have a deeper understanding.

As for the fact that movable lead type is not easy to ink, he had already had an idea and said: "Where is the ink I asked you to study, have you produced it?"

Tian Dachun said with shame: "It is our inability that has let the real person down. We have tried many greases and failed to produce a suitable ink."

Chen Jingke said: "You can try boiling sesame oil, add a small amount of other oils, and then add carbon black and give it a try."

In fact, he didn't know the formula for making ink, but he knew that linseed oil was the main raw material for making ink until the 21st century.

Flax was called flax in ancient times and was one of the crops obtained by the Han Dynasty from conquering the Xiongnu.

Once you know the main material, the rest will be easy, it just requires a few more tries.

This is indeed the case. After several experiments, Tian Dachun and others successfully produced ink that met the requirements using flax oil and rosin oil.

So far, all the technical problems of lead movable type printing have been solved.

Tian Dachun and others were proficient in woodblock printing and after completing the previous task, Chen Jingke assigned them a new task: to study movable type printing.

As one of the four great inventions, there is no doubt that movable type printing was a technological breakthrough. However, its real role in history is completely unworthy of its reputation.

It can even be said that it is useless, tasteless and a pity to throw away. It has been completely marginalized in actual printing work, and everyone mainly uses woodblock printing.

The reasons are various, mainly limited by technology and materials.

It was not until the mid-to-late Qing Dynasty that movable lead type was introduced from the West. It was briefly popular for a period of time, but was soon replaced by more advanced modern printing technology.

Since Chen Jingke traveled through time, he naturally would not let movable type printing waste another few hundred years. He took out lead movable type and ink and put it into practical use.

The emergence of movable type printing also means that the printing industry has officially entered the take-off stage.

After solving the technical problem, he assigned a new task to the craftsmen, and worked hard to produce a font library to prepare for the subsequent printing of "Journey to the West".
