Chapter 27 Impossible Mission

Looking past the neatly arranged filing cabinets, a crowded little world appears before everyone's eyes.

In the corner of one side of the room, there is a black marble floor clock. The silver-white dial is engraved with elegant floral runes. The charcoal-black pendulum swings slowly, making a 'click'

Clicking sound.

In front of the grandfather clock is a huge spherical instrument. The surface of the sphere is covered with star patterns. On the solid brass base, four dragon-shaped beasts with red light are extending their claws, pushing the central sphere to rotate slowly.

On the wall on the other side of the room, a wooden casement window is tightly closed; silver-gray curtains are tightly tied on both sides of the window sash. Through the dim sky outside the window, you can see the dark undulating canopy of the silent forest in the distance.

.

There are several pots of short-leaf clivia and narcissus placed on the windowsill. Perhaps due to neglect, the broad green leaves of these potted plants are covered with a layer of dust, making them look gray.

Next to the low wall under the window sill, there is a row of cardboard boxes piled up, filled with sundries. There are several eye-catching red "no touching" warning signs placed on top of the sundries.

In the center of the room is a huge desk. It takes up most of the world's space. There are stacks of paperwork on the tabletop, with colorful labels sandwiched among them, making it look dizzying.

At the front of the table, a bamboo-yellow pen holder was lying on the table, with several brushes hanging loose, lazily spitting out black saliva. A tall bronze buffalo swung its tail, lowered its head, and licked the black ink stains.

clean.

There is a simple bird rack on the edge of the desk.

Two parrots squatted on the birdstand.

One was a large tiger-skinned parrot that led the way for Zheng Qing and others.

The other is a red-bellied macaw with two heads.

At this moment, the red-bellied macaw was grabbing a list and shouting:

“Alpha College Application for Annual Hunting Ground Use Schedule!”

"Petition from a Wesleyan monk in Atlas to be separated from the Baptist class!"

"Patrol Division's duty schedule for next week!"

Every time he shouted, a blue elf dug out the corresponding document from the surrounding piles of documents and stacked them in the center of the table.

When the newlyweds squeezed through the hill-like pile of documents and came to the desk, the big budgerigar parrot was biting a straw and drinking juice. The other head of the red-bellied macaw was also biting a straw, and the tiger parrot was biting a straw.

Parrots compete for water.

"We should really add an administrative office on the first floor!" The budgerigar flapped its wings and hummed vaguely: "The 'Murloc Reservation Office' room that was removed a few days ago is still vacant. Please make a report quickly.

Application for establishment of new office.”

"It's not that simple." The red-bellied macaw dropped the straw and complained: "The vacant office has been reserved, and it is said that the 'Third Administrative Office' will be renamed the 'Service Coordination Office' - God knows this kind of mess

How many files will be added to the changes!"

"That's right! That's right!" The head of the macaw reading the list tilted its head in agreement.

"Don't stop! Do you want to get off work tonight?" An annoyed voice interrupted the resonance of the two birds.

The owner of the voice buried his head in the pile of documents, and Zheng Qing could only see his messy black hair.

Seeing the freshmen approaching, the red-bellied macaw coughed twice.

Behind the desk, a tired face looked up from the pile of documents.

"You are?"

"Those freshmen who started fighting before they even entered school!" the big budgerigar roared anxiously to explain.

"This is the person on duty this week in the First Administrative Office, a junior student at Starry Sky Academy, Heinz Liman." The red-bellied macaw introduced the newcomers slowly.

"Oh! I'm here to receive the voluntary labor task." Heinz showed a stunned expression, pulled out a stack of documents from the drawer, stood up, and walked to the newcomers: "It has been prepared for you a long time ago."

He is tall and muscular, with a blue robe tightly stretched around his body. He looks like a bodybuilding coach.

"Your current freshmen are really amazing." The senior looked through the portfolio in his hand and sighed: "When we first entered the school, we were as good as a bunch of quails, and we didn't dare to let our farts go around. How are we like you?

There’s a big fight before the student ID cards are even popular! Sure enough, there is a generation gap!”

The newlyweds greeted each other obediently and with smiles.

"Have you brought your ID card and penalty notice?"

"I'll take it, I'll take it." Several freshmen agreed hastily.

Zhang Jixin took out the crumpled notice and ID card from his trouser pocket.

Heinz held the corner of the notice and gave him a meaningful look.

Zhang Jixin made a false hey.

Zheng Qing took out his notice from the gray cloth bag and smoothed out the wrinkles on it.

"Are you Lin Guo?" an exaggerated voice sounded in the office.

Zheng Qing raised his head. Heinz was holding an ID card and looking at Lin Guo carefully.

Lin Guo hugged his small schoolbag and nodded nervously.

On the schoolbag, the bad-tempered mouse showed a flattering smile.

"I've only heard of his name, but never seen him. Today I finally met the legendary super genius who was in the same class as me!" The old student on duty patted Lin Guo on the shoulder with emotion: "I don't usually come to Starry Sky Academy.

Many of us over there are thinking of saying hello to you."

"No one will let me go to Starry Sky Academy." Lin Guo's face turned a little green.

Zheng Qingshen thought so.

With the body of a little boy, he probably wouldn't be able to withstand a round of greetings from Starry Sky Academy.

"To be honest, you are actually their senior!" The old student on duty looked at the other newcomers in the office with a smile.

"Senior!" Zheng Qing glanced at the thin figure and held back the tears that were about to fill his eyes.

Why are the differences between people so big?

He was also twelve years old. At that time, he seemed to be so scared that he wet his pants because of seeing a ghost. Lin Guo had already been auditing college courses at First University for two years.

"You don't need to call me senior," Lin Guo waved his hands in panic, but the gray mouse on the schoolbag in his arms looked proud: "The first two years are not actually formal admissions. I am on the same level as you."

Zheng Qing was dejected and stopped talking. This explanation stabbed him in the chest again.

Heinz opened the document bag and pulled out notices:

"Lan Que, you go into the No. 114 Alchemy Laboratory and find Assistant Professor Jin after entering." Because they belong to the same college, the senior gave him enthusiastic instructions: "Assistant Professor Jin is very kind. He specializes in weapon enchantment.

, the students from Starry Sky Academy are probably looking for blacksmiths."

Zheng Qing imagined the incongruity of the cold-faced Lan Que wielding a hammer, and couldn't help but grin.

"Zhang Jixin, go find Uncle Stendhal in Baicao Garden. He will arrange things for you." The senior shook his head, patted the red-faced boy on the shoulder, and comforted: "Be careful when doing things in the garden, be careful, and then

Be careful. Don’t cause trouble to the family.”

Zhang Jixin cried and received his punishment notice.

Zheng Qing maliciously speculated whether the school specifically selected people with the ability to pay to go to Baicao Garden.

"Xiao Xiao, go to the library to find Researcher Lin."

The watermelon-headed boy nodded quietly and put the punishment notice in his notebook.

The senior in the office looked at the last two punishment notices, rubbed his eyes, and read them again carefully.

"Impossible!" He muttered, grabbed two pieces of paper and ran back to his desk, flipping through the backup detailed records to check the contents.

There was an unusual silence in the office.

Zheng Qing looked at Lin Guo and then at the other companions.

Xiao Xiao squinted his eyes, wondering what he was thinking; Zhang Jixin scratched his head, also looking puzzled; Lan Que patted Lin Guo's head comfortingly.

"So, the last two classmates." Heinz stood behind the desk and shook the two slips in his hands affirmatively: "I thought the transcription was wrong when issuing it, but I didn't expect it to be like this!"

"It's a bit hard for you."

He raised his eyelids and looked at the two awkward newcomers with careful eyes.

"Zheng Qing, you and Lin Guo go to the patrol team. Well, we have arranged a place for you. You will join the Linzhong Lake Night Patrol Team and be responsible for the night patrol mission from one to four in the morning. The time is not fixed, but you will

Zhou needs to spare a day to participate in the patrol mission."
