Chapter 4 Discussions at the dinner table

Taking advantage of the break of eating, Fatty Xin briefly introduced to Zheng Qing the accident that happened at Linzhong Lake yesterday.

Although he tried his best to use a neutral point of view when describing it, Zheng Qing could still detect the anger in Fatty's heart from his choice of words.

"Even you have this attitude, what about the rest of the college?" Zheng Qing said uneasily while holding a piece of fried frog leg.

Because Fatty Xin has a part-time job as a reporter in the school newspaper, he always prides himself on being objective and fair. Whenever he encounters a conflict in the college, he will always analyze it in two using conflicting viewpoints.

But today, at the dinner table, from beginning to end, he used bad words about the actions of the students of Alpha Academy. He even used such terrible words as "Beelzebub's maggots" and "Mephisto's lackeys".

It greatly reduces one's appetite.

"Because of this incident, Lei Zhe had already had a fight with Augustus. Less than half an hour after Nicholas was sent to the hospital...the aftermath of the fight between the two destroyed half of the street in Beta Town." Xiao

Xiao Xiao stirred the yogurt in front of him with a small spoon, trying to stir the emerald green raisins and red wolfberries under the milk skin. After hearing Zheng Qing's question, Yun Danfeng answered lightly:

"In addition, from last night to this morning, the number of people entering the campus hospital from the two colleges has risen to eighteen...nine on each side. This does not include the many students who committed private crimes and were slightly injured but did not go to the hospital."

"How do you know such details? I haven't investigated yet! Haven't you been staying in the dormitory?" Fatty Xin was obviously shocked by the doctor's words and even forgot to put ketchup on his chicken drumsticks.

"Staying in the dormitory does not affect my ability to see the crystal ball." Dr. Xiao Da was still stirring his yogurt patiently. Obviously, he was far more interested in eating than chatting.

In addition to divination, the crystal ball can also monitor abnormal events within a certain range. Of course, if you want to do this at First University, you need to obtain special permission.

As for Dr. Xiao Da's way of obtaining permission, not surprisingly, it should be Teacher Sima Yangyun.

"I finally understand your sinister intentions." Fatty Xin took a sip of sour plum soup and said sourly: "Talk about love for utilitarian purposes... You are unfairly competing!"

As an excellent reporter, he was just unhappy that Xiao Xiao got the news faster than he did.

Xiao Xiao raised his head and looked at the fat man with his nostrils, his tone full of contempt:

"I don't even have a girlfriend... I have no right to comment on other people's relationships."

The fat man was furious.

"Speaking of which, what did you do yesterday? How come you don't even know about such a big thing?" Xiao Xiao changed the subject at the right time, directing the conflict to Zheng Qing.

The fat man was born in the year of the dog. After being thrown a bone, he looked over blankly, completely forgetting that a few seconds ago, others laughed at him for not having a girlfriend.

Zheng Qing was competing with a dumpling stuffed with frog meat. After hearing Xiao Xiao's words, he used his chopsticks hard and broke the dumpling. A stream of soup full of onion fragrance flowed along the thin dumpling wrapper.

It trickled out slowly.

"Yesterday?" He slowly raised his head and saw two pairs of curious eyes.

"You were not in the library yesterday." Xiao Xiao nodded affirmatively.

"It's not in the study room either," Fatty Xin interrupted, reminding: "We've also looked for you in Professor Monteria's laboratory, the D&K store, and even the Qingqiu Guild Hall... but we couldn't find you."

Upon hearing this, Zheng Qing's slightly opened mouth immediately closed tightly.

The excuse he had prepared before was that he would go to Su Shijun's laboratory to help, but since several companions had already gone to Qingqiu Guild Hall to find him, there was a high possibility that there would be something wrong with this excuse.

My mind raced crazily for a few seconds.

He finally chose to ‘tell the truth’.

"I'm in the Silent Forest." The young public-funded student grabbed a roasted frog, viciously tore off its hind legs, dipped it in some sauce, stuffed it into his mouth, and replied vaguely: "...Help Cole

Senior Sister Ma, do some research. As you know, she has a small magic club in the North District... she often has various small tasks. Well, the fried frog legs in the cafeteria today are very tender..."

During the winter vacation, Xiao Xiao took Zheng Qing and Fatty Xin to reveal the tasks issued by the Gini Hut through the school's bulletin board system. So this explanation sounds very reasonable.

"Silent forest?" Xiao Xiao nodded thoughtfully: "So, you blew up the forest this time?"

Zheng Qing coughed violently.

"Nonsense!" The young public-funded student opened his eyes wide and looked a little panicked: "You have to pay attention to evidence...how can you accuse someone of innocence out of thin air!"

"Innocent?" Xiao Xiao sneered: "All the teachers and students in the school saw the light of the explosion deep in the forest... Didn't you notice that the leaves of the oak tree downstairs were a little sparse? It was because too many leaves were knocked off yesterday!

"

"So... what does this have to do with me..." Zheng Qing protested weakly, firmly refusing to admit that he was related to the incident in the Silent Forest: "My rune gun has been taken away by the school!"

"But you went to the Silent Forest." The doctor replied quietly.

Zheng Qing held up the half-eaten frog leg and was speechless.

Fatty Xin finished chewing the chicken drumstick in his hand, wiped his hands casually on his robe, then bent down under the disdainful eyes of his two companions, struggled to pull out a stack of thick newspapers from his bag, and shook it

shake.

"Let me read it to you," he glanced at Zheng Qing, cleared his throat, turned to the very back page of the newspaper, and started reading:

"Beta Town Post, May 2, Correspondence (Reporter Wen Ningiao) The relevant departments of First University conducted a small-scale special magic experiment somewhere in the Silent Forest. This experiment did not target any organization or individual, and the experimental results were fully verified.

The relevant departments’ inferences on relevant magic theories have been followed, and all actions are in compliance with the Wizards Alliance’s regulations on relevant magic experiments.”

After reading, the fat man clapped the newspaper in his hand.

"That's all?" Zheng Qing raised his eyebrows, barely able to write the words 'happy to hear and see' on his face.

"That's all." Fatty replied gruffly: "If you are willing to give me some more valuable information, I can get you a generous information fee from the editorial department...I will never expose the informant.

This is the integrity of our journalists!"

"I don't know any more than you do," Zheng Qing spread his hands and showed a helpless expression. Seeing that the fat man was a little frustrated, he pushed the plate of fried frogs in front of him to the fat man in a comforting manner: "...let's have some fried frogs.

The legs, they were fried very tender today and taste good..."

"When did you start loving frogs?" The fat man pulled off a fried golden frog leg, glanced at the food in front of Zheng Qing, and said in a suspicious tone: "...Did you go to be transformed by fish-man blood yesterday?
