Chapter 12 The Witch in Pajamas

After class on Thursday afternoon, Zheng Qing did not go to the library.

He went to a coffee shop on the pedestrian street, ordered a cup of black coffee, ate the walnut crisps, arabic bars, and chocolate beans on the dessert plate, and watched with relish the two muscular candy men wrestling on the plate.

He bought the candy man from the candy man shop diagonally opposite the milk tea shop before coming to the coffee shop.

At the beginning of school, he had witnessed a wonderful but brief duel between two cavalry units in the window of the candy shop, which left a very deep impression on him.

He happened to be free today, so he went to the store and bought two sugar-man wrestlers.

There is still one for sucrose and one for maltose.

As a new customer visiting for the first time, the owner of the Candy Man Shop very thoughtfully presented a fructose dragonfly as a referee to the pair of wrestlers.

"Two out of three games! The one who loses will be eaten!" The dragonfly elf waved his cane and flew back and forth in the figure-eight dance three inches high in the air, while shouting: "Been beaten by your audience.

Chew it to pieces and swallow it into your stomach!"

Zheng Qing listened to the referee's warning with a dark look on his face, and was very worried that this intimidation would affect the performance of the two wrestlers.

Facts have proved that he was worried too much.

Maybe it's based on the noble professional ethics of these "professional wrestlers", or maybe it's just that their intelligence is too simple and they can't understand the referee's too complicated grammar.

The two contestants on the plate were not affected by the Dragonfly referee's words. They still held their heads, tied their legs, hooked their feet, and picked peaches in a stern manner. The sprinkles they threw were scattered and the porcelain plates jingled.

Zheng Qing watched with relish. From time to time, he used a small spoon to scrape up the sprinkles on the plate, put them into his mouth and sucked them.

There were two Dharma books stacked beside him.

One white one is his own Dharma book; the other is an old Dharma book that he received from Professor Yao's box in Monday's Charms class.

Each of the two books has copied a complete binding spell - this is the homework for Lao Yao's magic class, and it is also the reason why Zheng Qing is staying in the coffee shop now.

According to the professor's request, he also needs the Dharma book of another classmate - priority is given to girls - to copy and use the binding spell, write a report describing the different feelings when using different Dharma books to cast the same spell, and record it.

of nuances.

Originally, he wanted to invite Elena to complete the assignment.

However, after the last spells class, the whereabouts of the gypsy witch became a little unpredictable again. She often came only after the bell rang and left early in the middle of class.

For some reason, the professors did not express dissatisfaction with Elena's behavior.

Helpless, Zheng Qing tried to send an invitation to Jiang Yu.

Fortunately, Squad Leader Jiang readily agreed to his request, but there was one condition - he needed to find a suitable collaborator for Li Meng.

This condition is too easy.

Both Fatty Xin and Zhang Jixin are eager for this spot.

"If you don't plan to eat them, they can fall in front of you all night." A pleasant voice rang in his ears, interrupting Zheng Qing's enjoyment of watching the game.

He raised his head and saw that Jiang Yu had arrived at the store at some point. She was carrying a handbag, bending over, with her head very close, watching the candy man wrestling on the table.

Really close.

When Zheng Qing turned around, he almost touched her cheek.

He could even see the tiny down hairs on her face clearly, smell the refreshing fragrance, and feel the itching when her floating hair touched her face.

"Huh?" The young public-sponsored student's face turned red visibly, and he stammered: "What...what? What a night..."

Jiang Yu seemed to be aware of something wrong with him. His long eyelashes trembled, his nose twitched rapidly, he stood up straight and stammered, "I... I mean, you plan to... plan to see

Sugarman wrestling all night?”

Zheng Qing's brain's reaction speed finally caught up with the development of the situation.

He shook his head vigorously, as if this way he could get rid of the charm in his heart and the heat on his face.

"Just a little curious," he admitted honestly: "You know I haven't seen anything interesting like this before... I just looked at it for a little while before you came."

Jiang Yu seemed to have gotten rid of the panic a few seconds ago and returned to his usual calm and generous manner.

"Then let's hurry up." She brushed her long hair around her ears, took out a few heavy books from her handbag, put them on the table, then raised her right hand and raised her index finger.

A waiter elf in a maid outfit flapped its wings and gracefully landed on her fingertips, performing a dignified greeting ceremony.

"Have a glass of black rose, with a little ice." Jiang Yu tilted her head slightly, holding a golden bean in her left hand and stuffing it into the pocket on the back of the waiter's elf's skirt: "Make snacks as you like, don't make them too sweet."

"Merlin bless you, miss." The elf flapped its wings happily and thanked her softly.

Zheng Qing smacked his lips and couldn't help but sigh as he watched the shiny golden bean fall into the elf's pocket.

Then his eyes fell on Jiang Yu's clothes, and his eyebrows couldn't help but raise higher.

She was wearing shorts, a T-shirt, and a red-on-black-checked cotton gown.

Her snow-white long legs and beautiful figure are looming under the long and loose clothes, making people always unable to help but take a second look.

"Are you wearing pajamas?" Zheng Qing looked at what Squad Leader Jiang was wearing with a confused look on his face, and asked in a very sure tone: "You are wearing pajamas outside, right?"

"Yes." Jiang Yu tied up her hair as if nothing had happened, revealing a section of her fair neck.

"This is too... casual." The young public-funded student racked his brains to come up with an appropriate word.

"What do you know? This is this year's popular outfit...and it's very comfortable to wear." Jiang Yu raised the corner of her mouth slightly, pulled out her Dharma book, handed it to Zheng Qing, and urged: "Hurry up and start."

"It always looks like you just got up." Zheng Qing muttered softly.

"What?" Jiang Yu sat opposite him and was taking out notebooks, talismans and other testing supplies, but did not hear what the wizard said clearly.

"Ahem, I mean, don't you have any classes in the afternoon?" Zheng Qing coughed dryly and immediately changed his question: "I remember you should wear academic robes during class."

"My elective course in the afternoon is classical magic philosophy. The teacher asked for leave today, so the course was canceled in the afternoon." Jiang Yu puffed his lips and looked dissatisfied: "Actually, I stayed in the library this afternoon."

"Why are you going to the library? Doing homework?"

"Check the files." Jiang Yu's expression suddenly dimmed: "You know, that kitten... Shushan Pavilion has the most detailed case search and storage room in the wizarding world. Maybe I can find some traces of the murderer in it."

"Are you still investigating?" Zheng Qing couldn't help but said in surprise: "I thought this matter had been closed... Didn't the school working committee announce the results of the investigation... Didn't it say it was because of the resurgence of silence?"

"I don't believe it!" Jiang Yu raised her head, her eyes full of stubbornness.

Zheng Qing opened his mouth but did not continue to dissuade him.

It was not because he gave up his dissuasion after seeing Jiang Yu's persistence.

But he suddenly remembered the dream of the 'witness' that he had in Lao Yao's office last night, and thought of the bone-chilling chill he had felt, and of that white figure.

So he suddenly wasn't so confident in the school working committee's closing report.

"If you need any help, just ask." He finally nodded and expressed his support for the witch's persistence: "Compared to those gray robes, I believe in you more."

Jiang Yu pursed her lips, lowered her eyelids, and hummed in a low voice.
