Chapter 38 The Way

When Roman found the "Brave Bar" on Tiemen Street in the Bridge District based on his memory, it was afternoon and the bar had just started to open.

Looking at the heavy black wooden door in front of him, Roman greeted the sturdy bodyguard at the door, then opened the door and walked in.

The strong man looked at Roman and didn't stop him. He just saw Roman who was taller than him and muttered something.

There were not many customers at the bar in the afternoon.

Roman came to the bar under the gaze of others.

"A glass of Southwell beer." Roman said first.

There was no Zarha in Backlund, so Roman chose another Southwell beer that he liked better.

"5 pence." The bartender glanced at Roman and replied skillfully.

Roman took out a 5 pence coin from his pocket and handed it to the bartender.

I got a large wooden cup filled with golden wine and smelled the strong aroma of beer.

Roman picked up the wine glass and took a big sip. The cool and refreshing taste in his mouth relieved the thirst he had been feeling along the way.

He picked up the wooden cup again, took a sip, looked at the bartender, and said, "I want to find Kaspars Canlinen."

The bartender looked at Roman with a slightly scrutinizing gaze for a while and said, "I will convey it to you. As for whether he is willing to see you, I don't know."

Know."

Roman took out two 5 Sule notes from his pocket and handed them to the bartender, "Thank you."

The bartender glanced at Roman: "You are more generous than you look. Just wait here."

After saying that, he turned around and walked towards a small room behind him.

After a while, the bartender opened the door of the small room, followed by an old man of about half a century wearing a linen shirt.

He has a conspicuous big nose. Of course, what is more conspicuous is that he has a huge scar on his face, from the corner of his right eye.

It stretches all the way to the right side of the mouth.

Kaspars Camlinen limped out with the bartender and came to Roman.

He rubbed his reddish rosacea, looked at Roman, and asked, "Are you looking for me?"

"Yes, Mr. Canlinen, I heard that you have a way to purchase some special and uncommon items." Roman said.

After hearing this, Kaspars glanced at Roman with some scrutiny and asked: "Although I don't know where you got the news from, I have never seen you before, so, what do you want?"

"Three powerful special revolvers, two hundred rounds of ammunition." Roman put forward his demand.

This is also the result of discussions between Roman and others last night.

At sea, Roman and others are accustomed to using extraordinary power to solve problems with their fists and giant swords.

But in Backlund, sometimes it is just to prevent trouble, and the deterrence provided by a revolver seems to be much greater than a few bodyguards.

After all, this is a problem that Backlund, as a wild Beyonder, can solve with the use of a revolver to intimidate him, and try not to use his extraordinary abilities.

Kaspars thought for a moment after hearing this, "12 pounds." He made a quotation, "This is definitely more expensive than a regular weapons store, and this includes the risk I take."

"Deal." Roman didn't counter-offer, and the price of 12 pounds was relatively reasonable.

Roman took out a 10-pound note from his pocket and said, "After inspecting the goods, I will pay you the remaining 2 pounds."

Kaspars checked the authenticity of the banknotes and nodded, "No problem, follow me."

After drinking the beer in the wooden cup, Roman followed Kaspers to an empty chess and card room.

After waiting for a while, Kaspars pushed the door open and handed Roman a large paper bag.

Roman opened the brown paper bag in his hand and saw three revolvers and two large boxes of yellow bullets inside.

The pistol in the paper bag looks quite new. The handle is made of brown walnut wood, and the silver-white barrel with metallic luster looks very high-quality.

Roman picked up three revolvers and inspected them one after another. Without counting the bullets in the box, Roman put the paper bag away, took out two 1-pound bills from his pocket, and handed them to Caspars.

Seeing Caspars put away the banknotes, Roman said after careful consideration: "As you can see, I am a fairly experienced bounty hunter. I just came to Backlund with my partner. If I want

Are you going to take on any mission here, or join an organization composed of bounty hunters, or a gathering of other, more special, more powerful guys? Do you have any connections?"

When Caspars heard this, his eyes suddenly turned cold.

He rubbed his rosacea and looked at Roman carefully with scrutinizing eyes. He didn't speak for two minutes, using his silent attitude to create a terrifying sense of oppression.

After a long time, Kaspars said in a deep voice: "I know many bounty hunters. If you want to take on the mission, you can go to the chess and card room No. 9. There is a bulletin board with various bounties posted inside."

Bounty hunters are adventurers who rely on various bounties as their main source of income. They accept various bounty missions, including but not limited to completing official wanted orders, as well as intelligence gathering, bodyguarding, escorting, searching for people, and even assassination missions.

There are many adventurers in the East District, the Bridge District, and even throughout Backlund.

Kaspars then spoke: "But if you want to attend certain gatherings, in addition to showing your sincerity, I also have to ask them questions. I can't give you an answer right away."

Roman nodded and asked, "Sincerity?"

Kaspars showed an ugly smile and pointed to the paper bag in Roman's hand: "Your purchasing power has initially proved your sincerity."

Roman understood. He took out a 5-pound note from his pocket and handed it to Caspars.

Caspars took the banknotes and put them in his arms. He looked at Roman and said, "Tomorrow night, you come here and wait for the news. Now you can go to the chess and card room No. 9. If you want to take on any tasks, go to

Find me in the chess and card room No. 2."

When Roman nodded, Kaspars limped out of the door.

Roman's own purpose is just to participate in Backlund's extraordinary gathering. If he encounters suitable items, required materials, or formulas that his teammates need, he will spend money to buy them.

If you have something that is inconvenient to sell at sea, this is another way to sell the items.

I don’t really want to be a bounty hunter who takes missions in Backlund.

After all, this short stay in Backlund won't be too long, only a month at most.

However, in order to maintain his character and look like a bounty hunter, Roman still took his things and went to the card room No. 9 with the bounty notice board.

After pushing the door open and entering, Roman discovered that this room was said to be a chess and card room, but it was much larger than the room Roman was just in. There were several large bulletin boards in the room.

Roman was not the only bounty hunter in the room. Before Roman entered the room, there were already several people inside, scattered in front of several bulletin boards, looking at the bounty tasks on them.

Hearing someone pushing the door open, several people in the room subconsciously looked towards Roman.
