Chapter 10 The Civil War Resurrected?

The riot, the burning of the Yankee garrison, was considered a riot by the Yankee government.

A riot dissatisfied with the Yankee garrison.

As Tom expected, before the Yankee government could figure out how to deal with the riot through complex congressional discussions, conflicts of varying sizes began to break out between the Yankee garrison and local residents in the Dixie area.

The number of Yankee troops stationed in various important areas in the Dixie region is around a few thousand. The Dixie region does not have urban facilities that can accommodate so many people. Most of the troops stationed in tents in the suburban fields.

Under Tom's instructions, Rocky set the fires in the fields near the Yankee garrison, and then the fire swept through the garrison's tent camp unstoppably.

This not only gave the garrison enough time to escape, but also made the fire spectacular.

Under the dual guidance of chemical flammable agents and heat retardants prepared in advance, the flames caused a huge fire, but not many people were burned to death.

Instead, several forest fires caused by accidents caused disaster to several nearby Indian tribes.

The fires that swept through the entire Dixie region killed more Indians than the Yankee garrison.

The Yangtze garrison is basically a hooligan from the Yangtze area. After losing their homes, how can these gangsters keep calm and wait for the Yangtze government to transport new supplies?

The Yang garrison armed with guns began to rob houses everywhere.

When robbing people's houses, it is quite reasonable to occupy the beds of several wives and children and rob the family's belongings, right?

The farmer himself was dissatisfied with the Yankee garrison because of the kidnapping of Negro, the casualties of family members during the Civil War, and so on. Now the conflict has erupted in full force.

Angry, the local farmer took out more muskets at home than the mafia dens in the Yangji area, and many head-on conflicts broke out with the Yangji garrison.

Just as the situation was intensifying, there was even momentum for a second Civil War.

At this time, something unexpected happened to Tom.

The founder of the Ku Klux Klan, Nathan Bedford Forrest, publicly claimed that the fires were set because the Klan was dissatisfied with the behavior of the Yankee garrison in the area.

The gay Yang government finally found an entry point and began to frantically condemn Nathan through public opinion.

Who is Nathan?

Nathan was the founder of the Ku Klux Klan. Historically, after his death, white farmers were buried in a park named after him.

Can Nathan care about Yankee's public opinion offensive?

Of course, this racist didn't care. Instead, he was proud of it and quickly raised his banner in the Dixie area. The Ku Klux Klan also took advantage of the situation and quickly grew in size.

Judging from its momentum, the Ku Klux Klan is also on track to replace the Democratic Party and become the largest conservative party in the United States.

Historically, the Ku Klux Klan has always lacked the support of powerful and wealthy people. After selling his assets, Tom had millions of dollars in cash. This "little act" of setting fire could be done with only a thousand dollars, and it would not affect Tom's financial strength at all.

.

This kind of thing is just a "small move" for Tom, but for the Ku Klux Klan, which has never had the support of wealthy people before, it is difficult to "reach the sky".

Nathan seized the opportunity, borrowed flowers to offer to the Buddha, and turned what Tom had done into the "accomplishments" of his own Ku Klux Klan.

Let the people in the Dexy area see that the Ku Klux Klan is not a bastard party that only dares to "petty theft" and shoot a few black slaves.

Nor is the Democratic Party a weak party that only knows how to negotiate in parliament and appeal to the people to be patient.

Rather, he is a "hard-working party" who dares to show off with gay Yang with real swords and guns.

A large number of Dexy rednecks began to gather, marched in support of the Ku Klux Klan, and clashed head-on with the Yankee garrison.

There were more parades, and there were more confrontations between Dixie rednecks and Yankee garrisons, but an old problem was once again placed before the top brass of the Ku Klux Klan, headed by Nathan.

No money.

Most of those who supported the Ku Klux Klan were small farmers who had only one or two slaves before the abolition of slavery. Their slaves had all been "liberated" by the Yankees, and they themselves had no strength to fight against the Yankees.

During this riot, this group of rabble gathered together, using the Ku Klux Klan as their spiritual idol and delusional to restore slavery.

But this group of people are all small farmers who barely make a living every year and have no extra funds to support the Ku Klux Klan.

Large farmers and slave owners with strong capital all have their own strong local armed forces. When the Yankees conquered the Dexy area, they would choose to take a detour. Now there are countless people on those farms.

"Illegal" African-American employees will not waste money supporting the Ku Klux Klan, which does not have any legal seats in the U.S. House of Representatives or the Senate.

So, Nathan took people from his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, to Houston.

What to do in Houston?

Here comes Tom Smith.

May 6, 1866

Sugar Land is a small town southwest of Houston.

On the outskirts of the town, a river called the Brazos River flows.

Tom put a small horse trap, sat by the river, and became a fisherman.

This is the place where Tom and Nathan met.

Except for the two high-level Ku Klux Klan fanatics brought by Nathan and wearing white FFF uniforms, who came to Tom's side.

"Hello, Mr. Smith, my name is Nathan Bedford Forrest, the current leader of the Ku Klux Klan."

Nathan arrogantly greeted Tom proactively, and from his tone, Tom could tell that Nathan was proud of himself and the Ku Klux Klan.

Nathan took the initiative to extend his right hand and wanted to shake hands with Tom.

Tom ignored Nathan immediately, but continued to look at the plain surface of the Brazos River.

"Ku Klux Klan? Why are you here to see me?"

About half a minute later, Tom stuck the fishing rod on the mast and looked back at Nathan.

"I heard your speech and I very much agree with your ideas."

"When passing by the Houston City Hall, I saw the bones of dozens of traitors who were hanged. I think they deserved it!"

"Having an affair with a gay guy is having an affair with a nigger, Nig."

"The black slave Nig should go to hell. He stays in the world just to serve us believers of the supreme God, and they only deserve to be slaves."

"The gay Yang government is trying to change God's will and try to make Negro, the black slave, sit on an equal footing with the believers of our God. This is simply blasphemy against God."

"So, I sincerely hope that a great person like you will join our Ku Klux Klan."

"We are not the softies of the Democratic Party. The Ku Klux Klan must be the best place for you to belong."

"Come on, Mr. Tom Smith, let us restore the glory of the white man together!"

What is the greatest characteristic of a racist?

Confidence, arrogance, and high self-esteem.

Nathan's face just said "white man is the best in the world". In his mind, as long as he said these words, all the Dixie people would be infected by his charm and join the Ku Klux Klan.

Along the way, Nathan relied on these words to win over many rednecks to join the Ku Klux Klan.

This time, Nathan also has to rely on his "personality charm" to attract Tom to join the Ku Klux Klan.
