Chapter One Hundred and Ninety Nine: The Detective Contracting of the United States
The efficiency of the FBI was quite good and they successfully arrested and brought to justice the fugitive Mr. Mike who was trying to defraud his bail.
The motivation is exactly the same as what Shuji Tsushima said about the technique.
As a result, Tsushima Shuji became a special detective of the New York Police Department.
Well, the reason is also indispensable because of Haruhiko Oba.
but……
Shuji Tsushima: Is it mainly because I’m so good?
And here in the United States, there are really too few detectives.
Unlike Neon, where high school detectives are everywhere, private detectives are as numerous as dogs.
But even New York has simple folk customs.
The case incidence rate is not as high as Neon.
Perhaps it should be said that there are not as many cases where detectives are needed.
The murders here are extremely simple. They are killed in public and on the street. There is no need for detectives to dig through the crowd to find the murderer.
And Neon's murderer will go to great lengths to use all means to cover up his crimes.
Therefore, there are not many times when the United States needs Osamu Tsushima to solve crimes.
Shuji Tsushima: No wonder there aren’t many detectives in the United States.
Just the brain circuits of these murderers...
There's no need for a detective at all.
Then early this morning, he received a call from the director he met last time.
Of course, the other party called Haruhiko Oba, who then forwarded it to Shuji Tsushima.
"This is Director Jayden's phone number. I'm looking for you." Haruhiko Oba handed the phone to Shuji Tsushima.
"It seems that he quite recognizes Xiuzhi's detective ability." His tone was gratifying.
"I understand, please protect the crime scene." Shuji Tsushima said to the other end of the phone.
"Do you need me to send you there?" Oba Haruhiko asked.
"If you want to be on the news." Tsushima Shuji said nonchalantly.
“There’s nothing American paparazzi wouldn’t dare write about.”
I'm afraid that an hour after Haruhiko Oba appears at the scene of the crime, the killing of Aland's director will appear on the front page of the newspaper.
"Then you can only let them accompany you there." Oba Haruhiko said helplessly.
"Use your detective skills well, you are a beautiful young detective who can see through people's hearts." He encouraged.
Shuji Tsushima: I really want to know who got the nickname.
Be sure to thank that person properly.
…
The crime scene was in a remote suburb.
When Shuji Tsushima arrived, the crime scene had been cordoned off and surrounded by police collecting evidence.
As well as some surrounding residents watching the excitement from the outside.
The bodyguards set up a cordon, and Tsushima Shuji stepped into the crime scene.
"That's still a kid, right?"
"Why can he get in?"
"Are you really not going to cause trouble?" the onlookers questioned.
"That's a young detective." The police guarding the perimeter introduced them.
"Detective? The kind of Sherlock Holmes?" someone asked.
"Of course, a detective like Sherlock Holmes." The policeman nodded.
"Wow, this is really cool." Someone gave a thumbs up.
"I like Sherlock Holmes." Someone said.
"Me too." Several people looked at each other, filled with a like-minded atmosphere.
At this moment, Shuji Tsushima had already seen the specific scene of the crime scene.
The policemen searching for clues, and... the body lying behind the door.
"Noah, you're here." Director Jayden looked up and saw Shuji Tsushima and said hello.
People here in the United States are more accustomed to calling Tsushima Shuji by his English name.
"Did you find anything?" Shuji Tsushima squatted next to the corpse and asked.
The cause of death was two stab wounds to the neck.
Looks like he's trying to crawl out of the doorway.
He must have fallen to the ground after being slashed, and was about to crawl out to escape.
But halfway up, the murderer caught up and hacked him to death.
There were bloody footprints all over the room, spreading all the way to the bedroom.
There were also blood stains on the bedside and quilt.
There was a neat tear in the quilt, revealing the white cotton wool inside. A cell phone and wallet were randomly thrown on the quilt.
Shuji Tsushima stretched out his white-gloved hand and picked up his wallet.
"It's a robbery."
He looked at the neatly arranged cards and a wallet without any cash.
"The deceased was probably stabbed by the murderer while he was lying on the bed sleeping." He pointed to the neat cracks on the quilt.
"The first knife did not kill the victim. The victim struggled and tried to escape, but the murderer who caught up with him slashed him on the neck again, causing him to bleed to death."
He came to the body again and observed the distance to the door.
Then he reached out and touched the door lock.
"The lock is not broken." He touched it and said.
"So...?" Director Jayden asked doubtfully.
"The murderer didn't come in through the door." Tsushima Shuji said firmly.
"Check if there are any clues left on the window sill." He motioned to Chief Jayden to tell other police officers.
"Did you hear that?" Chief Jayden glanced at the policeman beside him.
"Yes!" The other party immediately ran to check the window sill.
"Chief, suspicious footprints were found in the yard." A police officer shouted.
Director Jayden rushed over immediately.
Shuji Tsushima followed slowly.
"That's it." said the policeman who found the footprints.
"The soles have skull footprints..." Director Jayden fell into thinking.
Shuji Tsushima looked at the yard and then at the door behind him.
He is truly a laid-back and unhurried murderer.
"Chief! Two fingerprints were found on the window sill." The policeman who had been sent to check the window sill ran over and said.
"And... there are still a few incomplete footprints." He said in a surprised tone.
"Are they footprints again? Are they the footprints with skulls on the soles?" Director Jayden asked in a deep voice.
"No, it's... the footprints are made of cloth, probably the other party wore shoe covers..." the policeman said hesitantly.
"Another kind of footprints? Could there be two murderers?" Director Jayden thought.
"No, there is only one murderer." Shuji Tsushima denied his speculation.
"Check the fence to see if there are any signs of anyone climbing on it." He ordered the policeman in a natural tone.
"Ah...Okay...Okay!" The policeman was stunned for a moment and nodded.
What do ordinary people do before killing someone?
Smoking a cigarette in the corner to calm down?
Shuji Tsushima came to the corner of the yard beyond the window sill.
He lowered his head and searched without saying a word.
Under a rock, he found his goal.
A cigarette butt.
He reached out to pick up the cigarette butts and put them into the evidence bag. He stood up and handed the evidence bag to Director Jayden who was standing beside him.
"What is this?" Director Jayden took the evidence bag and looked at the short cigarette butt inside.
"It was the cigarette smoked by the murderer." Shuji Tsushima said calmly.
"Chief, we did find traces of someone climbing on the wall." The policeman ran over excitedly.
"The murderer climbed over the wall into the yard, and climbed into the room through the window wearing shoe covers..." Shuji Tsushima began to explain in a calm tone.
"While the victim was trying to escape, he chased him and stabbed him again."
"Take the money, put on your shoes, and leave calmly." He nodded thoughtfully.
"But then the range of suspects is too broad."
"Comparing fingerprints one by one is too slow."
"The time of death was two days ago..."
"Did the victim have contact with anyone two days ago?" Shuji Tsushima asked.
Director Jayden subconsciously looked at the policeman.
"I'll go check it out right away!" the policeman said sensibly.
