184. Darkness Chencang 5

Scott, the commander of the First Division of the British-Burmese Army, heard gunshots coming from the Japanese military camp outside.

When the first shot rang out, Scott judged it to be a 38 rifle, and wondered whether the Japanese soldier had misfired.

When the second gunshot was fired, it was still a 38 rifle. Scott stood at a high place and observed with a telescope. He found that the Japanese army was commotion, but the distance was too far and the light was not good, so he could not clearly see it.

When the shot was fired for the third time, Scott heard the sound of the familiar Czech light machine gun, and suddenly a glimmer of hope floated in his heart. Could it be that the Chinese army really came to relieve the siege?

When he saw the Japanese troops firing wildly at the perimeter of the military camp, and then the second searchlight was knocked out, Scott went crazy and shouted loudly: "Reinforcements are coming, Chinese reinforcements are coming."

"Yeah-oh-oh-" The British and Burmese officers and soldiers, who were short of water and even more lacking of hope, cheered excitedly when they heard the division commander's call.

"Send my order and all units should prepare for a breakout." Scott ordered to the staff around him.

"Commander, where is the breakout direction?"

"Direction? You ask me who should I ask? Be prepared first. The direction cannot be determined until where the reinforcements break through."

"yes."

Scott returned to the temporary command post set up in the tent. The orderly brought a cup of black coffee. Scott took it, took a sip and said, "Add sugar, add milk."

The orderly added a small piece of sugar and two spoons of milk powder to Scott, stirred it up, and extended his hand to signal to the division commander to taste it.

Scott took a small bite and said happily: "Well, good, good."

When Luo Yuesong walked towards the 105mm heavy artillery, a Japanese guard suddenly appeared. Regardless of whether he was an officer or not, he directly asked: "The password."

Yuesong thought to himself, grandma is so stupid, but she still wants to scare me, Master Luo, with just this little trick. Yuesong immediately replied: "Caviar."

"Rice field fish." The guard replied the command and stood at attention to salute Luo Yuesong.

Luo Yuesong walked over and opened the oilcloth first. Sure enough, it was a 105mm heavy artillery. Yuesong's eyes almost burst out with fire, but he only had two fragmentation grenades in his hand, which could not blow up the Japanese heavy artillery. Even if they were thrown into the barrel, they would not be able to blow up.

Will not cause irreparable damage.

"Well, Yoxi, keep a good watch." Luo Yuesong finished reading, turned around and walked away. After walking a few steps, he stopped again, turned around and asked, "Why are there no shells near the heavy artillery?"

"Sir, the shells are separated from the cannon for safety reasons," the guard replied.

"Nonsense, this is too far. What if there is an emergency military situation and immediate artillery support is needed?" Yuesong deliberately looked for trouble.

While they were talking, a Japanese sergeant came out of the tent nearby. He saw the commander checking the post and hurriedly stepped forward to stand at attention and salute.

Luo Yuesong turned to look at the sergeant and shouted in a low voice: "How can a veteran not carry a rifle with him?"

"Hey, sir, that's a lesson." After the sergeant answered, he was about to go back to the tent to get his gun.

"Come back, are you the gunner of this cannon?" Luo Yuesong asked.

"Hi." Sergeant lowered his head and bowed.

"After receiving the order, there may be an operation tonight. In order to ensure that the heavy artillery fires in time to support, we immediately organized manpower to bring four types of artillery shells and cover them with gun jackets." Luo Yuesong ordered.

"Sir, that is unsafe," the sergeant said firmly.

"Bah, bang, bang." Yuesong stepped forward and slapped the sergeant several times in succession, "If you dare to disobey the order, I will kill you."

"Sir, calm down." The sergeant bowed quickly, "I will take people to move the cannonballs."

"Yeah." Luo Yuesong grunted and stood there, his eyes constantly observing the squadron leader's tent thirty meters away. That kid had better be asleep. If the squadron leader comes out, he won't be able to continue acting.

Already.
