210. Soldier's risky move

Major Jin Guang received a report that Chinese troops were spotted on the west bank of the Nu River, more than 30 kilometers north of the Burma Highway, and attacked the patrol team. The imperial army lost two soldiers and one military dog.

After receiving the news, Major Jin Guang stood in the main command room on the second floor of the bunker. He looked at a large map on the wall and followed the locations where traces of the Chinese army were found from yesterday to today. Major Jin Guang was very sure that this should be the defeat.

Major Yoshida, Major Takizawa's Chinese reconnaissance team led by Luo Yuesong.

The first active exposure, fire reconnaissance of a small highland, was to determine the approximate boundaries of Songshan Fortress.

The second feigned attack on the second peak of the fortress, which was to reconnoiter the firepower configuration of the main fortress.

Judging from the previous two reports, the Chinese reconnaissance team deliberately disguised themselves as guerrillas, but their tactical literacy and weapons equipment were clearly not guerrillas.

Judging from the third report, although the patrol team did not see the enemy, their marksmanship was accurate and their retreat was orderly, which is beyond the capabilities of ordinary guerrillas. Their presence on the west bank of the Nujiang River indeed shows that they are still fighting for China.

The army crossed the river for preliminary reconnaissance.

Major Jin Guang's little eyes were fixed on the Burma Road next to Songshan Fortress. No attack or pursuit did not mean that an ambush was not allowed. It was just that the Chinese reconnaissance team had to cross the dozens of kilometers of Burma Road on the edge of Songshan Fortress, and would pass through it.

At which point do we cross?

Jin Guang took off his military cap and put it on the table. He picked up the tea cup and took a sip. As he walked, he looked along the Burma Highway, guessing where the Chinese reconnaissance team might cross.

After changing their marching route from the bank of the Nu River, the team walked forward for more than ten miles before stopping again.

Yuesong came over, and Captain Zhu took the initiative to greet him.

"Captain Luo, now we either have to go back the way we came and make a long circle to get back to Longwangmiao Village in the safest way, or we have to sneak in between the Japanese Nujiang River Defense Force and the Songshan Fortress Guard Force, and use this long and narrow road to get back to Longwangmiao Village.

We passed through the gap quietly, and then crossed the Burma Highway to get back closer. However, this road is extremely dangerous, and if we shoot, we are very likely to be attacked by the Japanese troops on both sides." Captain Zhu slowly got to know Luo Yuesong.

, are also worried that Luo Yuesong will still take dangerous measures.

"We just encountered a Japanese patrol on the edge of the Nu River and fired a few shots. However, the news will definitely be reported to Keijiro Kaneko soon. Don't worry, the commanders of the Jiang Defense Forces and Songshan Fortress will exchange information at any time.

, In this way, Jin Guang's probability of judging whether we will pass between their two armies is 50 to 50. Going back is meaningless, and there is no chance to spy on the heavily defended Jiang Defense Force of the Japanese army, so we just

Go through the middle." Yuesong took out a cigarette and held it in his mouth, but did not light it.

Captain Zhu guessed what Captain Luo was thinking, but his worries were not relieved, so he asked Yuesong: "This is very risky. Maybe none of us in this group will be able to go back."

"Well, it is possible. From now on, Captain Zhu, please stop leading the way. Go call Renxian and Dong Yazi over." Yuesong put the cigarette in front of his nose and smelled it.

After resting for a while, Renxian and Dong Yazi came over.

"Captain, what's next?" Ren Xian asked as soon as he came over.

"Dong Yazi stays, you take Captain Zhu away to ensure his safety." Yuesong said.

"okay."

"Yazi, after we rest for a while, you and the grassroots will be the vanguard. Take out your bows and arrows. If you spot the Japanese, don't do it if you can. Use your bows and arrows if you have to. Never shoot unless you have to." Yuesong.

Give the order very seriously.

"Yes." Dong Yazi and Cao Gen'er stood at attention and replied. Yazi couldn't wait to start trimming his bow and arrows.

"Ren Xian, go and send an order to all the brothers to save the dry food in their hands. They can only eat one piece of bread a day. When they encounter a stream, everyone should fill their water bottles."

"Captain, you are planning to lurk. We are a reconnaissance team, not just one or two snipers." Renxian said.

"Grandma, in my team, everyone must have the patience and willpower of a sniper, otherwise don't hang out in my team."

"Yes, I promise to complete the mission." Renxian stood at attention, saluted, and left with Captain Zhu.

"Captain, didn't you see that Captain Zhu's face turned red and white? Shouldn't you save some face for Captain Zhu?" Cao Gen'er said.

"It's okay. Our party team is a family no matter where they are. Once this battle is over, he will naturally understand." Yuesong leaned the rifle against the tree, "Before we enter a place where there are many Japs,

Let’s all take a rest.”

"okay."

At this time, Major Jin Guang found a point on the map. Jin Guang smiled proudly, picked up the phone and dialed Highland No. 2. Captain Manabe answered the phone. Jin Guang explained something to Manabe, and Manabe's face immediately turned red.

Captain Manabe was overjoyed when he received the order to attack. He was like a wolf dog that had been locked up for half a year and finally opened its cage and could go out to bite people.
