Chapter 529: Buddhist practice, meeting master and apprentice

It is not that there are no monks in the six human kingdoms.

But with a monk with such a special temperament, people will have an intuitive feeling at the first sight.

He comes from the Western Buddhist Kingdom!

After close contact, Wang Tiangang also noticed that this person was unusual.

It seems to be only the fifth level, but it gives people an unfathomable feeling.

The surface is as plain as a lake, but there seems to be a powerful force surging inside.

Could it be related to changes in luck in the human world?

And Li Changan was even more interested in this person.

Golden cicada?

Will his name be changed to Xuanzang in his future reincarnation?

Such a sense of fate made him feel as if he was witnessing the origin of the mythical thread with his own eyes.

"Master Jin Chan, are you from the Buddhist Kingdom of the West?" Li Changan clasped his hands and returned the gift of the human scribe.

"The young monk is indeed from the Buddhist country in the west and wants to go to the east to obtain the true scriptures."

Jin Chan looked about the same age as Li Changan, and replied with a gentle smile.

"Going to the East to obtain the true scriptures?" Li Changan raised his eyebrows, "If you cultivate Buddhism in the West, what kind of Buddha would you be without the true scriptures?"

Jin Chan always maintained a faint smile on his face, "There is a true scripture in the world, and the path followed by the young monk is also a true scripture."

"That's why I'm so pretentious." Li Changan cupped his hands.

Jin Chan smiled and nodded.

At this time, Wang Tiangang's expression suddenly changed.

As soon as I mentioned luck, I thought of summoning the Wenlu to take a look.

Unexpectedly, the list of literary saints on the urn has undergone earth-shaking changes.

Today's Literary Saint List is the Literary Saint List of the Six Kingdoms, covering the fortunes of the Six Kingdoms!

What happened? The fate of the six countries merged?

He ignored Li Changan's conversation with the monk and sent a message to Li Changan, "The destinies of the six human nations are now intertwined. It would be best for you and me to rush to the capital as soon as possible."

Li Changan's brows moved and his heart skipped a beat.

Jin Chan nodded apologetically, and then communicated with Wang Tiangang, "Disciple thinks that since it is such a big event, even if Master is anxious, he cannot change the overall situation."

"It will be safer to think about the situation clearly first and then make plans."

"What do you mean...?" Wang Tiangang frowned slightly.

"Master, you might as well go and meet with Master first," Li Changan said.

"What about you?" Wang Tiangang understood the meaning of Li Changan's words.

"Disciple is walking slowly towards the capital from behind. By the way, we can take a look at the changes in the Jin Dynasty in the past few years, so that we can have some countermeasures."

Li Changan smiled.

Wang Tiangang glanced at Jin Chan.

The fortunes of the Six Human Nations and the Western Buddhist Kingdom are different, and wars break out between them from time to time, but these are only minor frictions, unlike the bloody feud between the Human Race and the Monster Clan.

So it can only be said that the relationship is neither far nor close.

But as his disciple, he has obviously become interested in this monk from the Buddhist Kingdom in the West.

"Forget it, this monk's cultivation level is comparable to yours. If he really wants to take action, you can suppress him." Wang Tiangang nodded.

"Since he dares to come to the human world, he must not dare to take action easily."

"You also have the inherited skills of the Great Sage Niu Mo. Remember to understand them, as they can confirm each other with the innate thunder spirit."

"Master, don't worry, my disciple knows it well." Li Changan said respectfully.

Wang Tiangang didn't say anything more. His disciple had cultivated the Dharma of the Great Sun Tathagata, and he might be able to benefit from the monks from the Buddhist country in the West.

Immediately, he patted Li Changan on the shoulder, leaving three marks, then jumped into the air and flew towards Dongyue County City.

Watching Master Jin Chan go away, Li Changan smiled at Jin Chan and clasped his fists in salute, "I wonder if Master Jin Chan can ride on the next journey?"

Jin Chan returned the gift, "Donor, no need to be more polite, please share the carriage with the young monk."

Li Changan was not polite. He walked onto the carriage with a smile, raised the curtain and got in.

Jin Chan also got on the carriage, and without whipping her whip, the sound of horse hooves sounded again.

Li Changan was the first to start the conversation, "I have always heard that the practice in the Buddhist kingdom in the West is different from that in the human world in the East. When I met the Master today, it was indeed extraordinary."

Jin Chan smiled slightly and kept his hands clasped together.

"There are thousands of Dharma schools in the world, all leading to the same goal through different paths, all for the purpose of attaining the state of enlightenment."

"The state of enlightenment?" Li Changan couldn't help but think of Ksitigarbha who he met on the bank of the sea of blood. "That's true. Buddhism cultivates enlightenment, and humans cultivate the holy path."

"I dare to ask Master, are the Buddha's enlightenment and the human saintly path the same?"

Jin Chan pondered for a moment and then replied, "It's the same but different."

"Both of them are the fruition status of transcending the other shore, but the flowers of the other shore are also different."

Li Changan sat back on the carriage, feeling the familiar aura of heaven and earth, with a comfortable expression on his face, "But in my opinion, there is no difference."

"Please give me some advice." Jin Chan nodded slightly.

"The "Tao Jing" says that Tao gives birth to one, which gives birth to two, two gives birth to three, and three gives birth to all things." Li Changan said,

"The beginning of all things is called Tao."

"Since we are transcendent, we must go to the Tao. If we are in the Tao, what is the difference between enlightenment and the holy way? It's just a difference in title."

Jin Chan always had a smile on his face, "The donor's words have the charm of the unity of all things."

"But the Master doesn't agree?" Li Changan turned his eyes to Jin Chan.

Jin Chan said, "No one knows what the scene is beyond the other shore; naturally no one knows whether the enlightenment and the holy path are the same."

Li Changan smiled, this monk is interesting.

He turned around and said that he was talking nonsense.

He didn't take it seriously, and then changed the subject, "I have always admired the Buddhist practice. Could you ask the Master to clarify my confusion?"

Jin Chan nodded, "The donor has the heart to worship the Buddha, so the young monk is naturally willing to give all his money to him."

"Buddhist practice, first and foremost, is taking refuge, which corresponds to the nine realms of the human world."

"What can be said about this realm?" Li Changan asked.

"Taking refuge means taking refuge in Buddhism. Anyone who has gained enlightenment by reciting Buddhist scriptures is called taking refuge." Jin Chan told the truth without any cover-up.

"There is no supernatural power in this realm. It is just about chanting sutras and understanding the Dharma."

"Then there is the eighth grade Huixin, and the one who cultivates is the tenth grade."

Li Changan's eyes moved slightly. Is this Shi Xin's statement the same as the Shi Xin he knew?

Jin Chan explained, "The Ten Faiths are also called the Ten Confidences. They are faith, mindfulness, diligence, wisdom, concentration, non-retreat, dedication, Dharma-protecting, vigilance, and willingness."

"Those who have perfected the ten faiths are those who have attained faith in the Dharma and will not retreat."

The look in Li Changan's eyes quietly changed.

Sure enough.

This method of ten faiths is exactly the same as the fifty-two levels of Bodhisattva mentioned in the Avatamsaka Sutra.

He thought for a while and then asked, "Buddhism is a faith that never retreats. In other words, does it mean that there is a possibility of Buddhist fads retreating?"

Jin Chan nodded, "People who are not satisfied with the ten levels of faith will often have troubles if they hear profound Buddhist teachings."

"I think that when a person with serious attachments hears the righteous Dharma taught by a good teacher and is different from the Dharma taught by the master he believes in, he will even commit great evil deeds of slandering the true Dharma and slandering the good teacher."

Li Changan said, "According to what Master said, these ten beliefs are quite difficult to learn."

"It's just the eighth level, but it's so obscure. Won't it become more and more difficult in the future?"

Jin Chan shook his head and smiled, "The Dharma of Buddhism is vast and diverse. The more tribulations there are, the more precious the attained status will be. This is the result of one drink and one peck."

"It takes one kalpa for monks and nuns to reach this level, but it also takes ten thousand kalpas to reach it."

"Buddhism has scriptures that can help with practice. It can usually be completed in two or three years."

Li Changan nodded, "I'm pretty ignorant."

Jin Chan smiled, and he was naturally happy to have the opportunity to teach Buddhism, so he continued, "The seventh level is called Zen Tibetan Buddhism. In this state, cultivating the ten abodes is like illusory contemplation."

"The next six levels are called Wukong. In this realm, you can practice the Yangyan View of the Ten Lines."

"All dharmas are like sun flames, like the sun shining on hot sand in the distance. The heat is reflected up, and the air sways like water flowing. However, the wise know that the water is unreal."

"Then the fifth level is called the Dream Arhat. After cultivating the Ten Chapters, it is confirmed that life is like a dream. Nothing is gained or lost, and the dream-like view is achieved. My nature, the ordinary nature, is eliminated and I enter the 'sexual barrier (greed, anger, stupidity, pride).

Doubt) will always remain in the state of being like an Arhat."

"The fourth-level realm is called Ksitigarbha. Cultivating ten levels. In this realm, one can reach heaven in one step. If one realizes seven levels, he can become a Bodhisattva. If he cultivates eight levels, he can become a great Bodhisattva."

"The third level is the beginning of transcendence and transcendence, and is called Bodhisattva."

"After reaching the second level, one can be called a great Bodhisattva."

"The first level of realm is the Pure Land Buddha."

Jin Chan only briefly explained the ninth level of Buddhism. Li Changan compared it and found that it was almost the same as what was said in the Huayan Sutra.

But the further back I go, the more I feel something is wrong.

What is the realm of this Pure Land Buddha?

He couldn't help but think of Ksitigarbha who he met by the sea of blood.

The last eight words Ksitigarbha said impressed him deeply.

Buddha cultivates the great road, and all sentient beings cultivate Buddha!

Li Changan's brows moved slightly. There must be some difference between the Buddhist teachings mentioned by Ksitigarbha and Jin Chan.

He put aside the doubts in his heart and looked at Jin Chan, "I wonder what state the Master is currently in?"

Jin Chan answered all questions, "The young monk is still in the realm of the fifth-grade Dream Arhat."

Li Changan clasped his fists towards Jin Chan and sighed, "I didn't expect that the master could have such cultivation at such an age. It's really amazing."

Jin Chan smiled and said, "The donor's cultivation is still higher than that of the young monk. The young monk cannot bear such praise from the donor."

"Thanks to the Master's false praise, I have such a predestined relationship with the Master. How about you and I take this opportunity to discuss Taoism?"

"This is how it should be..."

Just when Li Changan was walking with Jin Chan in the name of Jin Chan.

Within Dongyue County,

Gu Weidao was immersed in his desk, processing the documents from the Ministry of Finance and the Secret Service sent back from various places.

Disciple Li Changan has been missing for three years, but Dahan's development has not stopped. Instead, it has continued to develop rapidly under his control.

Time passed little by little, and the documents from various places handled by Gu Weidao were piled up like a mountain.

It wasn't until the light outside gradually dimmed that Gu Weidao suddenly raised his head and put down his pen.

After getting up and stretching his muscles, looking out the window at the bloody setting sun, the wrinkles on Gu Weidao's face deepened a little deeper.

Nowadays, the fate of the world has changed, and the world is in turmoil, but there has been no news from his closed disciple for three years.

News came from the academy that he was practicing in the Holy Land and would not be able to leave until he reached the fifth level.

But it has been three years, and there is not even a letter. How can he not be worried?

The disciple's family members also waited for three years and came every month to ask about Li Changan's whereabouts.

Three years later, hope has gradually been extinguished, and all that is left is perseverance.

Although they had plenty of food and clothing, they could not hide the gloomy look in their eyes.

Gu Weidao rubbed his eyes, sighed, turned back to the desk, and opened the next volume of documents.

Light the oil lamp and the light fills the study.

The study room was not big, and there were boxes one after another. In these boxes were the important documents of the man.

Until late at night, the lights suddenly shook violently.

Gu Weidao was shocked to realize that the doors and windows had been closed for a long time. Where did the wind come from?

When he raised his head, his eyes suddenly widened and his breathing stagnated. Then he blinked in disbelief. After confirming the person in front of him, he stood up immediately and said, "Master!"

Wang Tiangang looked at his disciple who seemed to be older than himself and said with emotion, "You are so thin and old, I'm afraid you will die of old age before me in the future..."

Gu Weidao's eyes were slightly red, and there seemed to be tears surging, but he quickly suppressed them, and the burden that had been weighing on him suddenly became lighter.

He looked at Wang Tiangang up and down, but his first sentence was a complaint, "It's all because of your incompetent master that made me, a disciple, grow old before his time."

Wang Tiangang blinked his eyes and his face twitched. As expected, like every disciple, there is also a master.

Gu Weidao continued, "Do you know that it was because of your recklessness in Fengchuan that your disciple was left helpless when he came back?"

"Fortunately, he lived up to his expectations and made great achievements, but because there was no one to protect him, something went wrong when he went to the capital to show off his talents."

The more Gu Weidao talked, the angrier he became, "Three years, three whole years, your disciple's life and death are still uncertain!"

"The Academy said that he was practicing in seclusion in the Holy Land, but he couldn't even send back a letter in three years?"

"He set up such a business, but he wants me, the master, to keep it going."

"In the final analysis, it is you who are out of tune and unreliable as a master, which has led to the bitter consequences today."

If Wang Tiangang was not his master, he would have wanted to point his finger at Wang Tiangang and scold him, "Tell me, at such an old age, you can't think carefully about your disciples and grandchildren?"

Wang Tiangang was so talked about that he couldn't hold his head up at all.

There was no other reason, it was just because everything he said made sense and he couldn't refute it with a single word.

His fists were clenched loosely, then clenched again.

You brat, just wait. When I find the opportunity, I will beat you up.

The disciple accuses the master, what if he rebels against heaven?

Wang Tiangang looked at Gu Weidao, who had gray beard and hair, but he still couldn't bear to take action.

Otherwise, with one slap, the person would probably be dead.

"That's pretty much it. After all these years, you still have a lot to say."

"I accept all the problems you mentioned, but that boy Li Changan is still alive. I brought him back from the Demon Kingdom."

Gu Weidao's mouth was still preparing to say something, and then suddenly stopped, and then he grabbed Wang Tiangang's arm and said,

"Master, what did you say? Chang'an...is still alive!?"

Gu Weidao's voice was trembling, for fear that Wang Tiangang was joking.

Wang Tiangang said solemnly,

"Don't worry, that brat from Chang'an is not only alive and well, but his cultivation has also improved greatly. He has now reached the fifth level and is invincible among his peers!"

"That's good, that's good..." After receiving Wang Tiangang's serious answer, Gu Weidao looked a little dazed, and the big stone in his heart was completely relieved.

After a long while, Gu Weidao finally calmed down. He seemed to have remembered something and asked quickly, "Chang'an was brought back from the Demon Kingdom?"

"So, the academy has been lying to me all this time?"

Wang Tiangang picked up a chair and sat down. "On his way to the capital, Chang'an encountered a serial teleportation array and teleported him directly to the Xilie Demon Kingdom."

"Then he narrowly escaped death and came to the Northern Spirit Demon Country, and that's when I met him."

"As for cultivating in secret in the Holy Land of the Academy, it is completely nonsense. It should be just what those in the Academy say to stabilize people's hearts."

Gu Weidao asked again, "What about Chang'an? Where are they?"

"I'm in the north, I'm with a monk, and I'm going to the capital slowly." Wang Tiangang picked up a piece of shortbread on the table and threw it into his mouth.

"Why don't you bring him here? Why don't you let him rush to the capital slowly?" Gu Weidao was confused by his concern, and immediately became anxious again, "It's finally come back, what if something goes wrong again?"

"You said you can't do something practical? Can you be more reliable?"

Wang Tiangang's desire to give Gu Weidao a beating became even stronger, "Don't blame me."

"Can I know what you're talking about?"

"Based on his current cultivation level, he is no match for ordinary fifth-level enemies. If he encounters a difficult enemy again, I will leave three marks on him and nothing will happen."

"Three marks?" Gu Weidao's anxious beard was trembling, "Who do you think you are? What use can the three marks be?"

"What should I do if I meet a third-grade scholar?"

"A third-grade scholar?" Wang Tiangang smiled, "If the mark is really activated, ordinary third-grade scholars will also be killed."

He pointed at himself and said to Gu Weidao, "Your master, I am the first third-grade martial artist in the Jin Dynasty, and the one with the strongest foundation besides your precious apprentice!"??
