Chapter 448: On the Iron Throne

Cersei was slightly stunned because she couldn't understand High Valyrian, but before she could react, two Unsullied soldiers stepped forward and took off the crown from her head.

The Unsullied soldiers held spears in their hands with cold eyes. This time, they not only scared Myrcella to tears, but also scared Prince Joffrey to tears.

The blond boy couldn't understand what they were saying, and thought that these foreign soldiers with cold faces were going to kill him, and he almost wet his pants in fear.

But I didn't expect that they just stepped forward and took off the crown from the mother's head.

Cersei exclaimed. The crown was taken off and she stood there with disheveled hair. The last remaining dignity in her body was gone, and she was completely lost to everyone.

The Targaryen army has taken over the entire city of King's Landing. Members of the Royal Council and nobles qualified to attend the throne room are arriving one after another. Naturally, the fat Archbishop of St. Baelor's Cathedral is also present.

Cersei's crown was roughly stripped away by the Unsullied soldiers, and she held it in the palm of her hand and came to the side of the eldest princess. Rhaenys, wearing bright armor, sat on the Iron Throne without hesitation, looking down with fear.

On the fat, richly dressed archbishop in the crowd.

The Archbishop immediately understood and walked out of the crowd shivering, walked up the steps to the Iron Throne, and took the Queen's crown from the hands of the Unsullied soldiers.

Then, with Black Worm warning against any rash actions, the obese Archbishop tremblingly placed the crown belonging to the queen on Rhaenys.

Seeing Rhaenys wearing the crown, there was sparse applause from below.

These vassals who belonged to the Baratheon family one second were cheering for the Targaryen princess the next. Only Cersei, who was stripped of her crown and stood there in embarrassment, had a trace of resentment in her eyes.

And Rhaenys looked around at everyone standing below, including the royal ministers, the royal nobles, the family members of the captured castle, Mrs. Stark and her children, whether they were cheering or resenting,

She didn't even care.

Then the girl with a crown on her head and sitting on the Iron Throne spoke.

"Mrs. Florent."

"You are going to make your home here temporarily."

Mrs. Celis Florent, who is holding her daughter Shireen below, naturally has no complaints.

During this time spent with Rhaenys, she could also feel that this girl was not as cold and heartless as she seemed, but the fact that dragons often accompanied her made her seem a little difficult to get in touch with.

"Thank you, Your Highness."

"Thank you, Your Highness."

Immediately, Mrs. Florent and the family members of Chaotou Island bowed slightly and saluted, and then followed the soldiers to retreat. They would temporarily settle down in the Red Castle and wait for their fate.

Mrs. Florent and others left, but the blond queen and her two children were still standing alone on the steps, and the little princess Myrcella was still crying.

Rhaenys frowned slightly, feeling a little unbearable, because she was probably Myrcella's age when she escaped from King's Landing. She glanced at Cersei and then spoke.

"Usurper's Wife, Cersei Lannister, I know the conditions you propose."

"But I can't promise you for the time being."

The conditions Cersei proposed were to spare the lives of Joffrey, Myrcella and Jaime, and to keep the Lannister family.

Rhaenys could not promise her these things on behalf of Viserys. More importantly, the Lannister did not surrender and was said to be still besieged in Riverrun.

We have to wait until Viserys returns before making a decision on whether to kill him, keep him alive, or deal with it in other ways.

But for now, Rhaenys can still let Cersei and her two children live in Maegor's Tower temporarily. After all, the other party handed over King's Landing intact, so she can still enjoy this treatment.

Cersei had her crown taken off and her hair was disheveled. She was holding the crying girl and her son who was so scared that she almost peed her pants. Standing in the throne room was like being stabbed by needles. It was natural that Rhaenys allowed her to go down first.

"Thank you, Your Highness."

Cersei gritted her teeth slightly, looked at Rhaenys deeply, and resisted her red eyes from tears, then bowed slightly and spoke in a hoarse voice.

Then he left the throne room under the escort of the Unsullied soldiers and returned to Maegor's Tower at the back.

After the group of women and children left, Rhaenys withdrew her gaze, then turned her head to look at the insignificant little devil standing on the steps of the throne room.

"Tyrion Lannister."

Tyrion has been standing on the steps. He does not belong to the kneeling nobles, and he does not seem to belong to the Targaryen family. He is just a worker, so his standing position is awkward.

"Your Highness."

But fortunately, Rhaenys did not forget him. Tyrion heard the girl's voice and stood up quickly, bowing slightly and saluting.

"You fulfilled your promise to me and captured King's Landing without spending a single soldier. Naturally, I will not break your promise."

The brown-haired girl looked at Tyrion and blinked. When she first captured this little man, she never thought that he could really capture King's Landing without spending a single soldier.

Rhaenys sent Tyrion out just to give it a try, but she didn't expect to get a surprise.

"Starting today you are free and will not be held responsible for any further crimes."

After hearing Rhaenys's words, Tyrion let out a sigh of relief.

In his opinion, the Targaryen family's seizure of the Seven Kingdoms is the inevitable trend, and he is a member of the Lannister family, one of the most unforgivable people, and the future is bleak.

But now that he had these words from the eldest princess, Tyrion felt relieved.

Although he has never met Viserys, through this period of understanding, he knows that Viserys loves Rhaenys very much and will listen to her opinions on many things.

Having Rhaenys's guarantee is basically a gold medal to avoid death, and Viserys will not execute him easily.

But even though he became a free man and could go wherever he wanted, Tyrion didn't want to leave.

Because he had no other place to go after leaving King's Landing, his father wanted to kill him, and he would not be recognized by the family even if he returned.

It would be better to just stay in King's Landing, with someone who appreciates his talents, and a bright future for House Targaryen...

Tyrion was moved.

"Your Highness."

Then Tyrion spoke and expressed his thoughts. He wanted to stay in King's Landing.

The nobles in the throne room suddenly sneered, and even Caitlin shook her head. Some people thought that Tyrion was overestimating his abilities. How could the eldest princess leave a dwarf in the court?

However, what people didn't expect was that Rhaenys was not surprised when she heard Tyrion's words, but showed an expression of joy.

She does recognize Tyrion's talents and tells Tyrion that if he wants to stay, she is willing to recommend him to Viserys.
