Chapter eight hundred and fifth regret

"Your Majesty, Lord Tyrion wishes to see you."

There are two attendants of Viserys. Robb Stark was supposed to be the governor of the North, but unfortunately his schedule was blocked by the long night and he was forced to stay in King's Landing. Now the person on duty outside Viserys's door is Gendry.

The boy with short black hair, who had become stronger and stronger, knocked on Viserys' door, and then spoke respectfully.

"Tyrion?"

Viserys was a little startled when he heard this, because he didn't take Tyrion's photo, but he still put away the proposal of the Sea King of Braavos in his mind, and then nodded and allowed Tyrion to walk in.

"His Majesty."

But Tyrion didn't just walk in alone.

Next to him was a man with short black hair and a hooked nose. He looked at Viserys with bright eyes. When Viserys saw this man, all his eyes fell on him.

Because he could see that this person had a mask on his face, and the Faceless Man's face-changing trick was indeed very good, but since it was fake, there would be flaws.

Viserys has an ability similar to 'bullet time'. In the same period of time, the world in his eyes will become slower and more detailed, so he can see the expression on this man's cheek just by glancing at it.

of flaws.

But he did not panic when facing the Faceless Man Viserys. The famous Faceless Man did scare everyone in the world, except him, because the two were no longer on the same level.

"The Faceless Ones?"

Viserys had long silver-gold hair hanging freely around his shoulders, and a pair of lavender eyes that were clear and bright.

He looked at this man, and then at Tyrion, who had a slightly nervous look on his face.

"Your Majesty, he is..."

Tyrion was about to explain, but James on the other side saw that he had been exposed, so he took off the disguise on his face and revealed his true face.

"It's me, Your Highness the Prince."

"Long time no see."

James took off his disguise, revealing a thin, slightly sunken cheek. The bags under his eyes were droopy, making him look much older. His messy beard and blond hair had also turned much grayer.

James is only in his thirties now, but his appearance looks much older than his age. Except for the cheek that still has the outline of the high-spirited blond knight from back then, there is no trace of James's past anywhere else.

.

His back was no longer straight, and the pride in his eyes was gone. He looked like an ordinary person. For people like James, the title of ordinary person was the greatest irony to him.

There are fewer and fewer people in this world who can call Viserys 'His Royal Highness', but Jaime happens to be one of them.

Because he joined the Kingsguard as a boy of fifteen, Jaime had watched Viserys grow up, and escorted him on his carriage to Dragonstone before the fall of King's Landing.

"I didn't expect it was you?"

Viserys looked at James' face that was still vaguely identifiable, and after being slightly surprised at first, he spoke in a calm voice.

He didn't seem too surprised that the other person was still alive after disappearing for so many years.

Although James is sometimes a bit slow-minded, and he is also very rash, willful, stubborn, and irritable, he is a character who becomes more courageous with every setback. Difficulties may defeat him temporarily, but he will eventually come back again.

stand up.

What's more, James has been going around for so many years, and his hand has still not been chopped off.

He is also a great warrior, brave and good at fighting.

"I'm curious why you dare to appear in front of me."

After Viserys got over the initial surprise, he didn't have much trouble, and even asked out of curiosity.

His eyes turned to Tyrion who was leading James to sneak in on the other side. If Tyrion hadn't led James to sneak in, I'm afraid the other party wouldn't even be able to get close to him.

Even if the other party has become a Faceless Man, it is indeed beyond his expectation that James has turned into a Faceless Man after disappearing for so many years.

"Is it because you believe that your brother will defend you and persuade me to spare your life?"

"Your Majesty, I..."

Tyrion on the other side heard Viserys's words and his heart suddenly rose to his throat again. Just when he saw that Viserys saw James' eyes with no hatred in his eyes, only surprise and scrutiny, Tyrion was still slightly stunned.

He breathed a sigh of relief, feeling that this matter might not be unavoidable, but Viserys' subsequent words made him have to be worried again.

Tyrion was about to open his mouth to explain something, but was stopped again by his brother.

"This matter has nothing to do with Tyrion. He is 100% loyal to you, Your Majesty."

"I forced him to bring me to see you."

This time, the knight with golden hair mixed with many grays stood up and stood in front of Tyrion and said.

He no longer called Viserys 'His Royal Highness', that sentence was just a farewell to the past.

Because when James sent the silver-haired young man in front of him, who was still a frightened boy, into the carriage, he said "Your Highness" as a farewell.

But time changed rapidly, and that boy was no longer the second prince protected by James, but became the young emperor who single-handedly founded the Valyrian Empire.

Jaime often heard about things on the other side when he was working as a faceless killer in Braavos on the other side of the Narrow Sea.

"You want to see me?"

"for what?"

When Viserys heard what James said, he was a little curious about what he wanted to do.

If James wanted to assassinate him after becoming the Faceless Men, that would be purely idiotic, because since James is in the Faceless Men organization, he should know who destroyed it back then.

"Atonement!"

Jaime faced Viserys's question without any hesitation and spoke directly.

"I killed your father, King Aerys. I slit his throat from behind."

"I am willing to stand trial."

These are words that make anyone unable to help but get furious after hearing this. No matter how good-tempered a person is, they cannot endure it. After all, this is the man who killed his father.

However, Viserys, who was sitting behind the desk, looked calm from beginning to end. He actually didn't care how Aerys II died. After all, he did not regard him as his father from the bottom of his heart.

"You want your sister Cersei back?"

"You want to tell him you're back."

The silver-haired young man looked at the two people standing in front of him, one large and one small, with a pair of lavender eyes, and then suddenly spoke suddenly after James finished speaking.

"You want her to regret it?"
