Chapter 152 Verrocchio

It's February.

Annuo has been living in Fedino's house for more than a month.

His illness was still not cured, he was in poor spirits and had deep bags under his eyes.

He was holding a bowl of tea and sitting very quietly under the eaves.

The raindrops hit the ground, making a beautiful ping-dong sound.

Fedino walked out of the room and looked at Annuo, who was sitting alone under the eaves.

For a moment, he felt extremely lonely.

Shaking his head, Fedino walked to Annuo and patted Annuo on the shoulder: "My young man, do you feel better?"

Annuo raised his head and looked at Fedino: "Thank you, Uncle Fedino, I feel pretty good now."

A smile appeared on Fedino's old face: "Let's go inside first. A big shot is coming to purchase cane sugar today. We need a heartier meal to entertain him."

"Big shot?" Annuo stood up and followed Fedino.

Fedino's somewhat fat body trembled as he walked: "Yes, he came from Florence. He is a very nice guy. He often buys candy from me."

As he spoke, he began to brag again: "Of course, this is also because my sugar-making skills are excellent enough."

"He is a big shot who is close to both the church and the king. Hehe, even he would recognize my sugar-making skills!"

Annuo just smiled and nodded.

Fedino sighed.

This young man is quite tall, but he doesn't like to talk.

"Your Aunt Anna made a rich fish soup today, baked a pizza, and cooked a lot of vegetables and seafood." The old man smiled.

Annuo just sat at the edge of the table and continued to look at the rainy scene outside the window.

He is thinking about his past and his own existence.

Fedino shrugged and went downstairs to help Anna make dishes and prepare the goods needed by the big shot.

...

At noon, the rain stopped for a while.

A carriage stopped in front of Fedino's house.

A tall figure stepped out of the carriage.

Fedino, who put on quite formal clothes, shook hands with the tall man enthusiastically.

"Long time no see, Fedino." The man didn't look young.

"Of course, it's been a long time since I saw you, my great patron, Verrocchio." Fedino's fat hand was very strong.

The man's name is Verrocchio.

"Come in, Mr. Verrocchio." Fedino stretched out a hand to guide Verrocchio.

The two entered the anteroom where Fedino entertained guests.

Verrocchio patted the corner of his clothes on the carpet at the door, took off his coat, hung it on the hanger, and then came to the dining room.

"Hey, long time no see, Verrocchio." Aunt Anna hugged Verrocchio warmly.

He and Anna briefly hugged each other.

Anno stood in front of Verrocchio and bowed solemnly: "Hello, distinguished Mr. Verrocchio."

Verrocchio's beautiful eyes looked at Fedino, waiting for the master's introduction.

"Verrocchio, let me introduce you. This is Laurence Anno Falgao, who is temporarily staying in our house." Fedino pushed Anno forward.

Verrocchio smiled gently: "Hello, Mr. Lawrence."

The two hands shook briefly and then separated.

"The soup has been served. Sit down first, Verrocchio." Aunt Anna pressed Verrocchio on the stool and turned towards the kitchen.

But Verrocchio's eyes always stayed on Laurence Annaud.

The child's temperament attracted him.
