Chapter 28 The Sword of the Kings ChoiceCailbur

Anno, Merlin and several courtiers gathered around King Uther who was sitting on the throne.

King Uther has already shown his age, and his beard and hair are all white. The sense of majesty that Anno had when he first saw him is gone, leaving him with the feeling of a waning old man.

But despite this, he is still the King of Britain and the King of Knights.

"Knights of Britain, raise your heads." King Uther's hoarse voice came from the throne.

Everyone stood up straight and looked at the lion with various expressions, whose teeth had fallen out and his mane was completely gone due to disease, injury, and time.

"I understand that my... time is running out." King Uther held the throne with his dry hands, but there was a slight smile on his pale face.

There was a commotion among the knights below.

"When I was young, when I first sat on the seat below me, I was very ambitious." King Uther said to himself, "At the beginning, I dreamed of conquering Ireland and Rome."

"Later, I realized that delusions were always delusions. Britain had just recovered from the war at that time and could not start another war."

"So I want to make Britain rich and strong."

"I did it. With your help, Britain's population doubled and the economy improved." King Uther patted the armrest of the throne with tears in his eyes.

Annuo smiled faintly.

He was surprisingly insightful in farming and other areas, and gave King Uther a lot of help.

He was 17 years old when he came into this world and is now 34 years old.

Although he was completely blank before the age of 17, due to his intellectual nature, he was still extremely mature, even over-mature.

King Uther stood up from the throne tremblingly, holding his scepter, and slowly walked towards the outside of the King of Camelot's court step by step.

Annuo supported his friend, his king, who was more than ten years older than him.

After a while, everyone came to a cemetery.

This is the only cemetery within the Royal City of Camelot, and the knights who died for Britain are buried here.

King Uther walked to a boulder. This boulder was a piece of meteorite that was cut into squares by Merlin for use by King Uther.

King Uther drew out his side sword. This side sword was no longer the same side sword he had used in the previous battle with Vortigern.

Its name is "Cailbur, the Golden Sword of Victory".

King Uther stood beside the meteorite, holding Cailbur and thinking deeply.

Suddenly, he exuded a frighteningly powerful aura.

This is the mystery that belongs to Pendragon, the power of wind.

King Uther seems to have become the fierce lion he once was.

The muscles of his arms swelled, and the golden sword of victory was deeply inserted into the meteorite.

"Whoever draws this sword will be the new king of Britain." After saying this, King Uther left without looking back, accompanied by Anno and Merlin.

Many knights were left talking about it.

"Draw your sword to choose the king, this is to..."

"This is too..."

"The king chooses the sword. The king is really courageous."

No one dared to step forward and try.

On the way back to the royal court, King Uther took Anno's hand and said: "Mr. Anno, among all the knights in Britain, you are the only one who I can safely hand over this country to you. You have

Qualified to draw that sword."

King Uther's dim eyes flashed and stared at Annuo.

An Nuo was stunned, then smiled: "King, you know, I will not pull it out, even if I am qualified."
